What if one day you woke up, and you realised that everyone had disappeared without any trace? You ran outside, no cars driving on the street, you went to popular spots, no one there. What would be the first thing you do? Assuming that you have confirmed for yourself that everyone is gone. What would you guess happened?

And yes I have been watching The Simpsons and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Problem is, one of my fears is having no one to communicate with at all (ironic given how antisocial I am), so... I'd panic for a very long time. And only then I would think about what happened, which is that there was an epidemic or something I missed. Like a secret war, I dunno. And then I'd just find things to do as objects would still be around, right?

The first thing I would do is break into every shop and grab loads of stuff. I have all the human resources in the world at my dispossal.
I'd probably try and find out what happened and try to reverse it, since being alone would suck. I wouldn't just sit around guessing.
There was nothing. Followed by everything. Swirling, burning specks of creation that circled life-giving suns. And then we reached to the light.

hmm well I guess I would be happy, because ~Shikamaru voice~ people are such a drag I wouldnt really care what happened, it be cool if they turned into zombies, then it might be a little fun...heheheh.. anyway.. I would probaly just live.. go get every game, travel the world, though I'm sure animals would over run the place, I'd most likey go to zoos and such and release the animals.. then just go pick some place to live my life...

What's with you and your 'alternate world' scenarios lately? D:
What if one day you woke up, and you realised that everyone had disappeared without any trace?
WHY ME?
The place I woke up would be of vital importance, though. Could explain a lot of things.
You ran outside, no cars driving on the street, you went to popular spots, no one there.
My next move would be to confirm the existence of zombies/aliens. Because following that specific script, that'd be the next thing to encounter.
What would be the first thing you do? Assuming that you have confirmed for yourself that everyone is gone.
Once again, assuming that only the people left and the buildings/stuff remained, I'd have lots of things to do. A list too big to even think about.
What would you guess happened?
I'm dreaming. And if not, I wish I would be.
This is my December . . .

I would go and get all the money from the Bank and then go SHOPPING!!

Being alone is one of my fears, so I'd probably look around my town to see if there is any thing living still and then I would probably sit in my home alone making theories about other life forms such as Aliens. Then I will write a documentary about it all, but in the end of it. I'll probably break down with depression because of having no contact with anyone else.

First I'd probably panic, a lot. I mean, it has to be something pretty serious if everyone in the world was gone. @[email protected]

To be honest, I'd expect all utilities to die out pretty quickly with no one to run the facilities, so I'd soon be without electricity and water and most of the food around would rot. tbh I don't think I'd survive long. I don't have survival skills. Probably get eaten by a bear or get bad food poisoning or something.
...ideally, though, I'd try my best to survive for as long as I could. The world to myself, huh? I'd say I'd play video games but if the power goes out, I'd have to switch to reading. That's not so bad.

I don't think I'd ever get around to solving the mystery of the missing people. I'd probably just assume Rapture. Either that, or aliens. Or I've already died and this is my personal Hell. But I'd always wonder why I was the only one left. *shrugs*

At first I obviously wouldn't know that everyone in the world is gone, just everyone around me, so I wouldn't be breaking into things or anything. After a few hours or a day or so, I would start getting worried, and then I would probably freak out for a while. Then I would probably relax and enjoy myself for a while, doing all the things I never could do when people were in the world.

But just like solitary confinement, I bet I'd eventually go insane. People aren't meant to be alone.

I'd probably panic internally and start hunting for survival materials and work on preserving as much food as I could via salt and work on my survival skills while I still had stockpiles of processed and prepared food to eat. I'd probably migrate with the seasons and look in every last nook and cranny for other people left behind, just in case, and I'd attempt to at least get one or two hydroelectric dams working every once in a while as well as solar panels. I'd ease my way into drinking water from lakes and rivers and wells for when the treated water runs out. I'd study the heck out of various maps and carry several with me at a time to find my way around while human infrastructure still exists intact. Recreation would be lower priority than survival and finding another person.

I'd initially feel relieved for the most part, but also mournful of friends and worried about things like nuclear power plants possibly still running unattended. I'd wander, seeing what could be seen and doing whatever I care to do, learning, and in search of other potential survivors... but with no pretense to live for, I may eventually end my own life or mentally regress into a feral state to cope.

I'd freak out because a) Electricity would run out and I dunno how to make them b) Medicines, what if I get sick? :O c) No TV shows, PC would be dead, Facebook would be dead too. o.o d) Food might expire.
Conclusion :: I'd probably die within a year.

I'd kind of like it really. I mean, while I'll miss humans, all I've really wanted to do lately is sit in the sun with my pets and take photos, lol :x After a while though, after having taught all the parrots in the world the English language, I'd probably have enough company to last a lifetime!
/totally wishful thinking.

Actually no, I'd keep going over past things reminding me of humans, giving me the illusion that humans are still around, and I'd make use of my imagination. Plus I've always got along well with animals, so it may not really be that much of an issue to live in a world like that.

As for the reasoning, I'd always question it, but I'd really be happier not knowing. Because really, knowing why everyone disappeared would make me paranoid, always having the theory that what my mind says = the logical conclusion would make me less paranoid pretty much.

While everyone else's concerns make sense, I guess I'd try not to be that worried about how to sustain life, and with the mindset that everything happens for a reason, then... well I kinda would have nothing to fear really. Knowing that even if I were to die due to lack of food etc/chemicals leaking/etc that this was all meant to happen for a purpose and that in my time alone, I'd surely discover that exact purpose and then in the afterlife if I see everyone then well hey it'd be pretty awesome. aka lots of time to relax and enjoy myself, then finally getting to see everyone else someday yes death counts as someday I guess well yeah I don't see negatives. Since really that's the mindset I'd have if that happened and even if we don't know what happens beyond death, we'll know that while we're here, we--wait did I just make a thread about being alone religious or something lol.

Point is, I'd be fine with being alone. :x

Well I'd probably kill myself. I'd be able to do anything I want cause everything would be mine, but I'd have no one to share my life with. So, I dunno. Everything sort of loses meaning. I wouldn't wanna live. But only after I dick around and do some fun stuff.

Panic, at first. Whether I would kill myself would depend on if stuff like electricity was kept running. If it was still running, I'd try to make the best of it while trying to figure out what the heck happened. And at this point I don't have any idea why that particular scenario would have happened, besides maybe a mass evacuation that I slept through :P

No girls? Damn, I'm going to die a virgin. Wait, did I just say no girls? Who is going to be at the kitchen, then?

Well I'm used to being alone so I could probably survive for some time; but I'll need food and water and more stuff. That would be much more problematic.

I imagine things would progress something like this:

confusion -> denial -> panic -> despair -> unpleasant end

I imagine after a while I'd feel it was futile to go on and just sit down somewhere until I starved. It would not be all that great to be the only person in the world. I'd wonder what had happened to everyone, yes, but I'd feel like I'd never know and most likely I wouldn't so it would just be something nagging me until the end.

I just woke up so naturally I'd have breakfast... Ok, I'd probably be too scared to eat but if I managed to calm down I'd get some food from the super market and entertain myself until I decide on either living as a lone human or ending my life.
