College Football 2011

September is here meaning College football is only days away! Who looks primed to win the National Title? Loaded teams like Oklahoma and Oregon? Or BCS cinderellas like Boise State and TCU? How does a summer of scandal effect some of the oldest and greatest programs such as Ohio State (QB of the future Braxton Miller featured above) and University of Miami? What about the new conference realignments (Pac-12, Big 12, Big 10, etc) and their impact?

For a refresher, and some early discussion material, the 2011 USA Today and AP Polls.

Quite excited for the new season, and week 1 definitely has some interesting games. Hopefully LSU can rebound from Jefferson getting suspended and manage to beat Oregon [thus demanding perfection from the Ducks from then on, if they hope to reach the title game]. I'm positive Boise will win against Georgia, and new targets for Moore will manage to excel throughout the season and it looks like they can go undefeated if they can beat TCU, while Oklahoma will lose on the road as usual and then go on to lose their BCS Bowl Game in typical Bob Stoops Fashion.

In the title game, I'd like to see Boise up against either Florida State or Alabama, I like all 3 of the aforementioned teams, but I'd really like to see Boise get to the national title game and possibly win. FSU would probably be the easier opponent for them, but I'd still be very happy if any of those 3 teams won it all. As for Miami, they didn't get hammered like everyone anticipated, they can definitely recover and possibly contend in the ACC, seeing as to how Harris and Benjamin only got 1 game suspensions. Finally, I expect either Andrew Luck or Trent Richardson, whom I believe has far more potential than Ingram, to win the Heisman and then go on to successful NFL Careers.

Finally, conference predictions:

Pac 10: Stanford
Big 10: Nebraska
Big East: West Virginia [it's anybody's conference, really]
Big 12: Oklahoma
SEC: Alabama
ACC: Florida State

lol @ The Big East.

LSU and Alabama will be on interesting game. Pretty much the winner is assured a BCS title spot. And since Oregon already lost I can see Stanford winning out the Pac-12.
