Oh well, back to my anime.
BRS seems to be an OK retelling of the short film, but the CGI makes me think I'm watching a Vocaloid MV, which I dislike. The way they pretty much explain everything off the bat takes away a lot, too.
Love how, while it's not November 5th, everywhere I go there seems to be talk of either government or politics today. And I'm not the one starting the discussions. However, I AM watching V for Vendetta, which is a very politically and socially charged movie. Guess that counts? o3o
Also, for the record, if I had to pick a favorite movie, it might actually be this one. If not the very top, it is certainly in the top three.
We're gonna watch Ghost Rider soon in preparation of the second movie. And maybe HSotD, though that one episode is gonna be so awkward since I'm with my dad and all. I mean, we got past Chobits, but...
Phew, shower done. No politics that I feel like discussing right now.
My guilty pleasure, Guilty Crown, killed off the most innocent and cliché timid, nice girl-character. I'm surprised at how it managed to touch me a bit. The death seems to have triggered the sissy main character's development into a heartless, Light Yagami/Lelouch-ripoff leader type guy.
There were flags for that everywhere, glad it happened as main characters in mein fuhrer mode are always entertaining to watch. I would give an ironic comment about your Geass/DN comment but I think on this forum it would just come across as me being a jerk.
I wish I cared about Madoka more. I only really liked Sayaka in that show. Of course I still scored it highly because of the character design (Ume Aoki), music (Yuki Kajiura) and of course the witches labyrinth that reminded me of....
Speaking of something all cutesy-looking, let's look at Shadow Star Narutaru:
Looks all cute, right? Something similar to Pokemon/Digimon/Monster Rancher/TAKE YOUR PICK, right?
I still need to finish that series, by the way. A shame my dad could only get the first four episodes from the library.
There's also Princess Tutu (so long as I have this theme I shall bring it up). It's about ballet and has an OST consisting of pretty much rearrangements of ballet pieces, so it must be innocent, right?
Just wait 'til Fakir drives a pen completely through his hand~ Also try the whole "Prince used sword to take out his heart and seal away the raven" thing mentioned at the beginning.
