Rain, oh rain! You chime upon the distress of the day.
Rain, oh rain! You beat about the hearts that lay decayed.
Rain, oh rain! I'm lost, betrayed! Through whispers of my lust.
Rain, oh rain! Do come again! And cast away the rust!

Rain, oh rain! The fields awake beneath your misty flow.
Rain, oh rain! The seeds alike behold your knightly glow.
Rain, oh rain! Mercy from the Lord beyond the skies!
Rain, oh rain! Do not refrain! o coolness of my eyes!
Asked the Liberal: "What vanity prevents you from adopting Liberal values?"
I said: "What Liberal value isn't based on vanity?"

Asked the Conservative (Republican): “Why don’t you assimilate into our culture?”
I said: “Because your culture demands assimilation”.

Said the Democrat: “The majority must rule.”
I said: “But what will rule the majority?”

Said the Neo-Conservative: “I believe we are the superior Civilization”.
I said: “That's what makes you an inferior Civilization”.

Said the Pragmatist: "Always choose the lesser of two evils".
I said: "Then your choices will always be evil".

I adore the rain, and this poem simply describes what I want rain to do. I don't want rain to stop. I want more rain, and more. The poem was well-made, but the 'Rain, oh rain!" part somehow got too consistent. I would've liked it if it was after every one line. But oh well, I did not make this poem.
