For those of you in Japan, you'll be able to get a Blissey (Healer) from November 19th - December 25th through the global link. The only way to get it is by getting a serial code from saying "Merry Christmas" to Pokemon Centre staff. It's not known whether it'll be for one person only or more than one, so time will tell.

Either way, how do you guys feel about this Japanese giveaway? Would you like to have something English-related for Christmas too? Is it worth having a giveaway for? Could've there been a "better" Pokemon suited to be given away in regards to Christmas? Discuss!

I think Delibird or Deerling/Sawsbuck (Winter) would have been a more festive option... even Abomasnow would be an option.

I'd like to see some more Giveaways here in England, we never seem to get many :(

I love how you have to wish the staff a merry christmas to get the code. I like the idea n' all. I wonder if we'll get something similar here in the europe.

Sounds awesome, I really hope we'd get something here in Europe as well! And by that I mean the whole Europe not just the biggest countries.

I would have expected a more festive related Pokémon i.e Vanilluxe, Delibird, Cryogonal etc.

Nontheless I am happy with Blissey and I'm lucky I got myself a copy of the Japanese version of White!

As an Australian citizen, I'm not overly concerned about this giveaway. I think it would have been nice if it was implemented outside of Japan, perhaps a wireless distribution would have been practical in other countries, as not all countries have Pokémon Centres. Although I think Blissey is a wonderful Pokémon, I believe that there are a plethora of other Pokémon that would have been much better suited to this - Delibird, to name the obvious, Stantler is another one that springs to mind. Even Girafraig, Ponyta or Sawsbuck would have been nice. Of course there would have to a definitive feature that would make it worthwhile, such as a move that would be otherwise unobtainable... speaking of which, I think that one of Bilssey's moves should be Seismic Toss - that way we can use it competitively.

All I feel towards this Blissey is 'oh there is a Blissey giveaway, that is interesting'. Of course I would like to have an english Pokemon event for Christmas, I think we'll get something ice type on the dream world like Snover or Delibird. Which will of course be weird for Australia, as we have Christmas in Summer, but an event is nice regardless.
