It isn't really good for Groudon. STABed EQ is much better.

Groudon @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 142 HP / 96 Atk / 252 Spd / 20 SAtk
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Overheat

Probably a better nature, but can't think what it is right now.

Lonely is better than jolly. Also, I like these EVs better 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP.

To answer the question no, because if you want to use it effectivly then you have to use valabule EV points in Sp. attack, and plus Overheat>Solar Beam on Groudon.

Groudon's Attack is higher than its Sp. Attack so most of its special moves are kinda wasted on it :\

Good point, the only reason that Overheat would be good on him is because it has a higher base power than Fire Blast, and plus I did say that Overheat>Solar Beam, Eruption could also be used. :D

maybe *if* you like a different kind of Groudon (not the standard physical one), you could go for the specials (not recommended though):

Groudon
Modest Nature
6 HP / 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed
- Solarbeam
- Eruption/Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- Earthquake (for STAB high attack issues)
- Hidden Power [Ice]

*remember, this Groudon is for those that want something different from most other standards, and it is highly not recommended since Groudon's attack is far better that sp. attack...

Well Groudon has 100 Base Sp. Attack, as much as Starmie, but it's Speed is kinda bad...

Groudon is best as a physical sweeper (jolly/adamant) with fire blast/flamethrower. It works great with a team that will compliment the drought with it, ie a sunnybeaming team, or even one which is normally weak to water.

Exeggutor, Houndoom, etc. work best with it. And anything with HP fire/fire punch/ whatever.

I like the + speed more than the attack, though. Seems to really help it. And…why lower its defense? O_o; Lower its Special attack if you’re not going to use it.

I use it though, if I was going with a totaly physical one, but I like to use a fire attack on him. :D
