I didn't see a thread for this anywhere?

PokéPark: Pikachu's Adventure for Wii.
I really enjoyed this game when I played it. I stayed up extra late so I could beat it hahah. I just loved it so much, running around as Pikachu, adoring how he waddled when he walked, his fearful expressions in the haunted mansion part, and gawking at how insanely large Golbat was compared to him.

Has anyone here played it? If so, what did you think of it?

Also, PokePark 2 is releasing this winter in Japan. Any excitement here for the US release or any idea of when it will be?

I played it, originally mainly for the graphics, and was preparing myself for a bad game because of the awful reviews.
But I really enjoyed it. It was adorable and fun, and I loved to see so many of my favorites in all their 3D glory (Porygon-Z!!!). The minigames are easy, but enjoyable with friends.

I'll definitely buy the sequel when it comes out.

I only played it because it was Pikachu related but I'm a sad Pokemon fan, I have pretty much all the games. (Except Pokemon Black, I bought White instead) But I thought it was alright, simple but it was aimed at children so that's acceptable. It was a fun, cheerful game I guess, mega cute though. All the Pokemon looked good!

& the idea of a sequel, this excites me. I'm going to look this up!

I still haven't got that game yet (I dont think I'm going to get it because I would have gotten it by now). I usually played this game at either a friend's house or at the Pokemon center in NYC whenever I went there to buy a Pokemon doll.

My little brother owns this game, so I already played with.
Graphics are beautiful, there's something kinda magical with being a Pokémon and wandering in this beautiful world.
But, unfortunately, it's extremely childish... Dialogues are just a load of flannels, mini-game too much easy, and, sorry but, Pokémon stupid.
Here is the opinion of a teenager girl. However, you ask the same question to my little brother, he really likes this game and thinks the plot is interesting.
So opinion completely depends on the age.

I beat it in 12 hours. It was way to easy
It's a kid's game you know. It's intended to appeal to kids, I thought that was obvious. Not that a kid's game can't be great for adult too, but it's like expecting an extreme difficulty curve form Kirby.

With that said, I never did beat it, but it was kinda entertaining. My niece played it all the way through through though, she loved it. I like it cause Jolteon was in it! :t135:

As I said though, I can't really give it a score fairly, but never trust review sites, they are full of garbage. In my own opinion, it was pretty fun to watch her play through, occasionally help her with the tricky parts. It seemed decently solid too, so I'd say it is worth a play if you have a kid that likes Pokémon.

PokePark 2's English title was recently revealed - it will be called PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond.

See the "B and W" in it, another reference to Black and White.

The game will be released in the US and Europe around February/March 2012.

No word yet on other areas release.

This game features Pokemon from all 5 generations and players get to switch between Pikachu, Tepig, Oshawott and Snivy.

I actually liked the Japanese title better.
Gone forever for personal reasons.

Would anybody recommend this game over pokemon rumble? Or pokemon rumble over this?
Battle-wise, I'd prefer Pokemon Rumble over PokePark. For just minigames (such as racing, grab the rings, pinball, etc.), then I'd prefer PokePark over Pokemon Rumble. If I had to say one is better from the other without having to think of gameplay most of the time, I wouldn't be able to answer that.

Anyways, I have PokePark, and right now me and my brother enjoyed it. I mean, the graphics aren't bad and the story was pretty interesting. Although in my opinion that it would appeal to younger ages than older ones; it's pretty amusing to run around, talk to Pokemon, and giving them headbutts of friendship.

Naive nature. Very finicky. Tends to steal Captain Obvious' job shifts, apologize, and use different translations of the word "thank you". Excuses, excuses, these bad traits show pretty well - but I don't bite with a grip of a crab.
