As weird as this is probably going to sound, I've always thought about doing a concept album based off season 4 of
The Sopranos. It'd be me playing the role of Tony Soprano, and a load of guest stars to sing/play instruments as other characters (Carmela, Melfi, Paulie etc.). Each song would have an episode title, and most would have a 'featuring _____' credit, apart from some instrumentals where it's just me by myself. It probably sounds weird, but it's been a slight passion-project of mine for a while now. And now for the formalities:
What is your artist name? I dunno... probably just my real name, but maybe with the appendage '... and Friends'
What genre in music are you involved in? All sorts of genres, but if forced to narrow it down... probably some form of jazz/blues
What is the name of your album? The Sopranos Season 4
What are the 14 tracks included on your album? There'd only be 13, as that's how many episodes there are, and the titles would be the titles of the episodes, so:
1. For All Debts Public and Private
2. No Show
3. Christopher
4. The Weight
5. Pie-O-My
6. Everybody Hurts
7. Watching Too Much Television
8. Mergers and Acquisitions
9. Whoever Did This
10. The Strong, Silent Type
11. Calling All Cars
12. Eloise
13. Whitecaps (ft. Bjork)
(Most of them will have 'featuring' credits, but the last one is my favourite episode of the show, and I can just imagine it being a type of song that Bjork would be great at... hence her inclusion in this imaginary record!)
What are the singles of the album? No singles. I'm going all Led Zepellin-in-the-USA with my marketing approach.
What does the album artwork look like?
Only instead of the actual actors, it'd be the musicians who contributed to their songs in their characters (so, Bjork as Carmela, in this example).
