The first Sprite comic would be the Super Mario Bros one... Located somewhere, but it wasn't too popular. Bob and George was considered the classic sprite comic... The Real, First Sprite Comic. Search them on Google as I don't have the links to them... If you're planning to host a Webcomic, try Keenspace, it's free and it really is designed for comics.

i just learned how to make spirite comics last year, they are not too good, i also need some more spirites because my computer had i think some infection, my dad was suposed to save my clipart/spirites on a disk but forgot, so i had 2,719 wich was all my good clipart, i only have 2,119. i found a really great spirite sheet but i cant get it because my dad said he does not want me to give credit.... i lost a really hard to find spirite sheet! :(

Keenspace is a host just like freewebs and geocities except it's espescially designed for webcomics, which means that you don't have to go do all those next and previous and first and today buttons. Yes, keenspace is free but it'll take about 2 weeks until your site is really working.
