Intro:


"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

First years, whether Muggle-born or Wizard-born, receive this letter every year, giving them the permission to join Hogwarts School. Most are always overjoyed, nervous, etc. Yet this year, both students, old or new, will start to see the world for what it can be...


Plot:


It has been nearly 50 years since the final defeat of Lord Voldemort and everything has seemed to be peaceful since than. Many of the Death Eaters had been convicted, families had been restored, and friendships were forged.

It is known that other Dark Wizards have attempted to reach a height of power, yet they had all failed due to the work of Aurors and other wizards. Lately, it seems that the Dark Arts had started to get stronger. More and more Wizard and Muggle deaths have been confirmed with no one knowing anything about the possible murderers. Aurors think it to be an underground ring Wizards that are growing in power.

The Aurors are only partly right... In reality, this "ring" is already an army, formed in honor of the times under Lord Voldemort's power.The Dark Wizard in charge of this army is obviously unknown, though it is likely that he/she is either a descendant of someone who partook in one or both of the previous Wizarding Wars or they themselves had participated in them.


Setting:

The year is 2047, a rough 50 years after the the end of the Second Wizarding War. As said before, it has been mainly peaceful. No electronics work in the Magical World, though with the power of a wand, who needs electricity? This RP will be based in many of the favorite Harry Potter locations, such as Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, parts of London, etc. (Some locations will be based on characters included such as, the Burrow, Godric's Hollow, etc.

You:

Your character (possibly characters) will be a student at Hogwarts during this time, eventually possibly becoming an Auror or teacher. Your will be in either support of what the Dark Army is doing or against it. This choice will help distinguish your character in the future.

(Besides the Standard Roles you will receive, I may ask some RPers to take main control over a Teacher, Auror, Dark Army Recruit, etc.)

Rules:

1: Okay, the most obvious rule is to stay active. RP's die because of inactivity and I don't want it to happen to my first one. If you will be gone for a period of time, please PM me and I'll look into seeing who can control your character during this period.

2: No godmodding. If you're character is a first year, they won't know how to exactly form a Patronus, have the elder wand, or be able to do an Unforgivable Curse. Also no bunnying without permission.

3: Keep some level of reality during this RP. You're not going to be able to do some stuff right away, Also be literate. No one is interested in an RP with one-liners, txt language, etc. Be Descriptive!

4: Listen to me, people I may appoint to help me with GMing, and the mods. Breaking rules is only fun in real life. :P To make sure you read the rules, I'd like you to put an underlined, bolded, "Wizards are Cool" somewhere in your SU.

5: Have fun and be kind to others. No one likes a big fat arse.

6: This Rp is rated R16 due to the fact that there will eventually be Relationships between characters, the violence in the RP (With minimal gore), and minor language.

General:

Name: Adria Penrose

Age: 11 Born on December 25th

Gender: Female

Physical Appearance: Adria stands 4'3 and weighs 85 lbs. Her eyes are an odd yellow color and she has medium length Platinum Blonde hair and pale skin and is full British. Her appearance changes on the night of the full moon however. Under the full moon Adria turns into a blonde furred werewolf. Her yellow eyes are more prominent and she has a thin muscular form in this state. She is still small in size as a werewolf but a little bigger than she is in her human state. For the week after the full moon Adria looks weaker and has bags under her eyes her face remaining pale until she recovers.




Clothing: When not in her school uniform Adria usually wears a pair of sweat pants and a sweatshirt usually blue or silver colored for her house and a pair of comfy white sneakers. At times though she can be seen in jeans and a dark navy blue t-shirt most of which have funny muggle sayings on them.

Personality: Adria is normally very shy and timid staying close to a small group of friends. She always pays attention in class and never goofs off. She can't stand being mean to others or seeing anyone being picked on especially her close friends. Adria almost always thinks things through the only times she doesn't are if her wolf instincts surface or if there is no time to think in a situation.

During the full moon Adria acts completely different her wolf side being more rash and defensive not able to recognize anyone not even her friends. During the full moon she stays in her territory and will attack anyone or anything that steps in it. Her wolf side see's everyone as a threat and will treat them as such. Shortly before the full moon Adria starts to act a little different being more tired and on edge jumpy and nervous about everything and is the same way right after the full moon is over.

History: Adria's life growing up was rough. Born to a pair of British wizards she was very well cared for but isolated from anyone that wasn't family. Due to something that happened when she was little her parents kept her home and away from others and every month from when she was three she underwent a painful transformation into a werewolf. When she was only three years old her mother and Father took her on a camping trip in a forest not far outside Paris, France when on a vacation. The first night of this camping trip happened to be on the night of the Full moon. Young Adria stumbled off into the woods while her parents where asleep. She didn't wander off that far from the campsite before the three year old wandered into a werewolf's claimed territory. The werewolf saw the child as a threat and attacked her. Scared the young child jumped back and was only bitten by the werewolf before her parents came to her rescue. Shortly after this the family moved to a small cottage near Godrics Hollow from where they were living in Londan

For the next 8 years of her life Adria was taught by her mother and father learning the history of the Wizarding world and of her own family being taught the horrors that had happened fifty years prior. She was also told about Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry which was where she was to go to school when she turned 11. Throughout the years Adria read book after book on magic focusing mainly on charms and also read up about werewolves as her father tried to no avail to find the one who turned her.

Name: James Cole

Age: 11 June 6 is his birthday!

Gender: Male

Appearance: James has black hair, usually completely uncombed and messy. He has green eyes.

Physical: James is 5 feet tall, and weighs about 85-90 pounds. He is a bit taller than a few of the other kids his age, but not by much. He has a slim appearance.

Clothing: James will be found wearing his uniform for the most part, but likes to wear fine, elegant clothes whenever given the opportunity. The clothing would consist of silk, or some other good material. However, for the most part, it would just including a dress shirt, with nice, dark pants and black formal shoes. Sometime, he might throw in a tie as well, but that is on few occasions. People often say James dresses beyond his age.

Personality: James is very bright, being from a well educated family. But beyond that, he overachieves in everything he does. He is very smart, in fact, borders the range of intelligence and genius. Being raised in a traditional pureblood household, one would assume that James is a cold, hated boy with a major prejudice against Mudbloods and Muggles alike, and for the most part, they'd be right. However, James is odd among his family. He doesn't necessarily hate Muggles and Mudbloods. What he truly hates, is people who are what he would call "stupid", which would be defined as anyone who knows less than him, or acts in a manner he doesn't approve. Unfair as it may be, that's just the way he is. He also has very little tact, especially when talking amongst his peers, and often will say whatever is on his mind, whether completely rude, or not. Amongst his elders, he is a little less rash, and often more reserved, showing the respect he feels they should be given, but still often holds opinions of them in his mind often not friendly.

James isn't the quiet type, though. He will often speak, and quite a lot of it, but mostly with people of his own intelligence. This is where his hate for Muggles comes in. He believes those who don't know much about magic are in fact unintelligent, which is why he dislikes them. He cares less about what background you come from, just as long as you aren't a "stupid, uneducated ape".

History: James comes from a rich, upper-class family. His life has been quite sheltered, and although he lives in Northern London, he is never allowed to associate with Muggles. At first, he disliked this, as he was very interested at what they had to say, and what they thought about, but as he learned about them from books, he discovered how uninteresting they really were. He has enjoyed his private life ever since, caring less and less for the outside Muggle world.

James had dreamed of finally going to Hogwarts for a long time, his parents often telling him stories about it. He couldn't wait to finally begin going, eager to test what he had learned over the years and apply it in school.

Over the many years he spent at his parent's manor in the countryside, he had picked up many hobbies, including Quidditch, of which he is an avid fan, and not a bad player himself.

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Physical: Toby stands 4'9 and weighs 105 lbs. He has green eyes and black hair, worn in a bowl cut. Average height, but a solid, stocky build, true to his Scottish ancestry.

Clothing: When out of uniform, Toby's clothing is chosen more for function than looks. He wears some comfortable black slacks, held in place with a brown leather belt, and soft black shoes. He wears plain, monocolor shirts, usually grey or blue, and a red tartan tam.

Personality: Tobias is focused, with a strong will, but lacks finesse. Despite being stubborn, the fact that he never gives up is one of his better qualities. He is generally light-hearted, and fairly interested in learning new things. He tries to be nice to people, and has a strong sense of morals to guide him. However, Toby gets annoyed quickly, and has little patience for bullies. He tries to avoid confrontation, as arguments usually end with violence. While he doesn't have many friends, he is actually quite protective of anything he cares about.

History: Toby was born in a small manor in the Scottish countryside, a house his mother inherited from her late grandfather. His mother owned a small business as an alchemist, making potions for clients. His father, a Squib from France, helped run the business and set up a side business making non-magical beverages. Young Toby was raised as a wizard, but knew about Muggle life through his father's mundane business ventures. He was allowed to assist with the practical aspects of the business, and has much knowledge in the fields of alchemy and farming. His parents expect him to excel in Potions and Herbology classes.

Though his father never attended Hogwarts, his mother did and insisted that Toby be enrolled. His father finally gave in, but on the condition that his wand be obtained from his uncle's shop in France. So it was that Tobias obtained his wand from Hornsby and DuFresne's Arcane Emporium.

Here's my SU sheet

General:

Name: Ian Luna Wolfsbane

Age: 11 born October 8th 2035

Gender: Male

Appearance: Ian has strange white short hair that stops and the end of his neck. His bangs sometimes cover his hair and two strands of hair on both sides of his face come down past his cheek a bit. His bangs though as usually swayed to the right but sometimes he doesn't bother with his hair. His eyes are a bright sky blue. He also usually has a smile on his face.

Physical: Ian is about 4'8" and weighs about 88 pounds. He doesn't seem like he's going to get much taller for a while but his family is filled with late bloomers. His skin is a tad pale but has some color to it. His got a muscular body but isn't a muscle head.

Clothing: Outside of wearing his school uniform he will probably be wearing a dark red shirt along with blue slim jeans along with black sneakers.

Personality: Ian is a quite kid and doesn't really make friends that much. He keeps things to himself and is really shy around strangers. When he feels comfortable and opens up he's quite the adventurous type always finding himself either in trouble or somewhere dangerous. Ian prides himself in his intellect and physical abilities but doesn't really show it off. He's a nice polite kid and a loyal friend to those closest to him. Though he can be a bit talkative and likes to provoke people who get on his nerves.

History: Ian comes from a family of wolf Animagi so natural he would be one too. He comes from a large family, or "pack" as his siblings like to call it filled with wizards and withces so he's kind of overshadowed by his siblings.For some strange reason though his parents kept the magical world from Ian and made sure their children didn't use magic around him. They felt that Ian wouldn't have anything to offer to the magical world so he would just live a middle class life as a muggle. Despite his parents struggle to keep the magic away from him he somehow found a way to get his hands on a wand and showed he had great naturally ability.

For the time his was five until he was ten his parents taught him all the basics he needed to know about magic and how to be a Animagus. His great great grandfather was a werewolf and ever since his family was either a werewolf or a Animagus that turned into a wolf. His hobbies growing up were exercising, practicing magic and hunting as a wolf he became quite good at it.

Ian became extremely excited when he heard that he was going to Hogwarts and promised he'd become the best wizard out there.

Name: Lucy Winfield

Age: 11, birthday February 27

Gender: Female

Physical: Lucy grew at an early age and so stands at a surprising 5'8". Sheused to be really lanky but over the summer started developing curves. Her hai ris a very dark brown and falls a bit past her shoulders, straight half of the time and curled the other half. She has light, caramel colored eyes that are flanked by long lashes and her skin is the definition of fair.

Clothing: When out of uniform Lucy wears jeans and sweaters because of the cooler British climate. But when the weather is fitting she prefers to wear sundresses. White, black and purple are her colors of choice. Diamond studs can usually be found adorning her ears.

Personality: This girl always has to get what she wants. Some might call Lucy spoiled. Others might call her bold as she cares not about consequences so long as she reaches her desires. She also strives to be the best and adores being in the spotlight. She has quite a competitive edge to her. Lucy emanates confidence and expertly masks her own insecurities, particularly about her height. In her eyes, boundaries are meant to be pushed, reap what you can. Lucy isn't a mean girl though- she's very outgoing and social. She acts rather maturely for her age and has little patience for those who don't.

History: As her father was a Pureblood and her mother a Halfblood, Lucy is also a Halfblood. She is the youngest Winfield child; she has an older brother, Teddy, and an older sister, Bridget. Teddy, a 6th year Ravenclaw, is only her half-brother as his parents divorced and his mother remarried, the marriag efrom which Bridget and Lucy spawned. The family was raised Liverpool in an upper-middle class/ lower-wealthy class wizarding community. Their mother raised them to have proper manners and such, but she also seemed to have rivalries with her friends so that the children all inherited a certain competitiveness.Their father worked his way up to the rank of a Wizengamot member and was equally ambitious but had a much looser relationship with the children than did their mother as she didn't work. Needless to say the atmosphere in the Winfield household was always very intense and pushing for perfection. The Liverpool village that the family dwelled in was mostly a wizarding one so that Lucy had minimal affiliation with muggles. Most of the neighbors were boys though and everyone was older than her, so she and her sister grew very close until Bridget left for school. Life became boring with all of the neighbor kids away so Lucy has been extremely eager to leave home and test herself at Hogwarts.

House: Slytherin

Wand type: Her wand is made of dark ebony wood that nearly matches her hair color. It's texture is smooth but despite being 13 inches long, not one bit of it bends at all, like it's made of granite. The core is the hair of a unicorn.

Magical abilities or Items: None

So… if I want to bring a snake as a pet (from Turkey), would that not be okay???

Druk, it would depend on the snake but it would likely be allowed. Whistle A Tune, most of it is good but your character doesn't know what they'll be as they haven't reached Hogwarts yet. Take that out and maybe add a bit more to the history and you'll be added.

So we got 3 Slytherins, 2 Gryffindors, 2 Ravenclaws and me…

Should I switch to Gryffindor, or would that be pointless?

I wanted to make her a Ravenclaw but there was only 1 Slytherin [and Hufflepuff..] at the time so I decided to even it out D:

I could switch her to a Hufflepuff personality if that's requested, I've got no problems with that.

@drunk: I'd advise you to stay as Hufflepuff. They need someone to represent them, unless you want to be Gryffindor.

Also I notice a lot of wands that are 10-13 inches. I'm starting to feel inadequate.

Hmm, Ryanrocks, your personality seems like it would be better to be put in history. Add that to it and please try to make the personality a bit better.

Also guys, there is no need to switch houses. Each of you is able to add small characters as friends in your house. What I mean is that even though Drunk may be the only Hufflepuff, he can have a small amount of friends he can control, although they only add to the story a bit.

I'll be sending in the IC thread probably tomorrow so yall better be ready to RP!
