I'm a casual anime watcher and don't have anything against people who watch it more than others, but the ones that (as donavannj said) reject everything western are the ones I generally have feelings of dislike towards.

It think its greeeeaaaaat to be cultured and to know things about a culture you're not involved in and immerse yourself into it, but neglecting yours for another isn't something I think should be done and I really worry about those who do that. It's nice to have a balance between the cultures you immerse yourself into, whether it be Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, etc.

But you know what? As much as I dislike people doing that, it's their life and if they want to do that, all power to them.

It is very fitting. I'd imagine it was changed because of the conversation (although I could be wrong). Makes people hesitate on being off-topic, too.

And I'm not good with nicknames. I don't know what would work.

Actually, anime's the only Japanese thing I'm really hardcore into. Give me big 'ol American cars any day.

Yeah, I'm not very culturally diverse, sadly...

I would have lost an extra $100 considering my phone had an extended battery and a 32GB MicroSD card. ;__;

Still I did root my phone and flashed a ROM in it but I am just waiting for a stable ICS/Android 4.0 OS port, cuz I doubt MetroPCS will release an official ICS update on the LG Esteem lawlz.

Be careful not to break those i-gadgets again. I read that the rare metals used to make a lot of them are going to be exhausted in less than a decade.

Also, Mr Dog, it's: ライブワイヤくんはとてもスーパーかわいありません
When you negate an adjective ending in い with ありません you change the い into く and omit じゃ or では.

Considering we're actually BURNING hydrocarbons that are the components for most of our plastic products...

Yeah we're screwed.

Well... Google Translate and my crappy Japanese textbook told me that was right. But I don't think it did that much on adjectives! :D

Well, you could say it your way, but it's not "correct" grammar. Of course, I'm somewhat of a prescriptivist so I want people to use proper grammar.

Isn't the whole thing with using Google Translate for japanese just translating it literally though? I think I heard that somewhere.

Sometimes it can be kinda good, and I especially like its ability to translate phonetic words. For example, if I've seen a word that I can spell but don't know its meaning (e.g. スーパー) I can type in suupaa and it can tell me that it means supermarket! Which is kinda cool.

In other news, I've got some smexy new glasses and now everything is sharper and yet it hurts to use them for the moment. Yay?
