Once upon a time, there was nothing. No people, no Earth, no Pokemon. The only living beings in the universe were The Two. One of The Two was an omnipotent and aggressive king. The other was an altruistic and omniscient king. The Two balanced each other completely. They created the place known as "Earth" and created all of the elements. They created the flames that ravaged the Earth. They created the oceans that flooded the Earth. They created the flora that blanketed the Earth. They created the storms that buffeted the Earth. They created the logic that governed the Earth. They created the rime that froze the Earth. They created the wyverns that conquered the earth. They created the chaos that balanced the earth. They created the armor that shielded the Earth. They created the afterlife that sends solace to the Earth. They created the shards that populated the Earth. They created the stones and sand that gave shape to the Earth. They created medicine that stabilized the Earth. They created the humans and Pokemon that inhabit the Earth. And it was good

The Two then said to the humans,"You must decide who is worthy enough to rule the land We have forged. This ruler of humanity shall wield the power of the gods, and what he says shall be infallible." The humans devised a competition between the 20 of them, and the winner was crowned Ruler of the Earth. The ruler created an island where all rulers would live in solitude, and the 19 remaining populated the continents The Two forged. The ruler then corroborated a capital of the Earth, and named it Halcyon. Halcyon was founded on the idea of harmony and peace. The ruler died decades later, and the competition was held again. This pattern continued over centuries. Over time, as civilizations grew, Pokemon and humans grew closer together. Pokemon were partners to the humans, and ideas like Pokemon collecting, battles, and the like grew. This was not always good. Soon, arguments broke out. Arguments turned to fighting, fighting turned to war. This was most prevalent in the War of Earth.

The War of Earth started when two trainers came to Halcyon, claiming to be the best Pokemon Trainer on Earth. The two trainers walked in to The Monastery of Earth, where people paid special homages to The Two. The trainers locked eyes, and both of them agreed on a battle outside of The Monastery of Earth. When the battle was over, all of the Pokemon of both trainers were defeated. The two trainers agreed to form a coalition, and that there combined power would rule all of Earth. A monk name Sage walked out of the Monastery of Earth and said,"You two! You have committed the most heinous crime on Earth! You battled on the sacred ground of The Two!" One of the trainers said back,"How dare you address my partner and myself in such a disgraceful manner! I was picked to be the strongest trainer on Earth! You should be bowing down to me!" Sage said,"You fool! The only person to be picked by a higher power to do anything is the Ruler of the Earth, the ruler of us all who lives in solitude! And you broke his sacred rule! The authorities will be here any minute now, so get comfortable." The two trainers opened their maps of Earth, and sure enough, the Ruler of the Earth's island was in the center of all 20 countries on Earth. They flew to the island, traversed its dangerous terrain, and killed the Ruler of the Earth.

Earth was thrown into turmoil. Never before has such a crime ever be committed. The Ruler of the Earth was the focal person that tied Earth together. Soon enough, the countries started to suspect one another. Soon, soldiers were getting ready to defend their countries honor. Those countries, whose 19 founders were the best of friends, were at each others throats. The war ended like the battle between the two trainers, with no victor. This war cut the links of friendship that so tightly wounded the countries before. Everyone thought that this harmony between countries was never to be heard from ever again.

    But there is still hope.

After many years of anarchy ruling over the countries, the competition to become the Ruler of the Earth has once again commenced. All countries groomed and trained the most worthy of their people to become the Ruler of the Earth. This may be the fiercest competition yet. Will the competitors gain trustworthy allies, or backstabbing rivals? How will The Two choose the challenges? Can the competitors take the heat, or crumble like a cookie? Will the two trainers who killed the last Ruler of the Earth be involved? And maybe the most important question of them all, who will become the next Ruler of the Earth?
