After saving the world from Team Flare, I continued where I left off. But I wanted to do some reorganizing for my team and not make it ridiculously full of Water-types. First I gave Skye the plaided blue skirt at Lumiose, then took that Quagsire I caught on Route 14 and changed her name to
The Slip. Anyway, I went to Route 18 and battled some trainers there, not all of them but they weren't too important.

Once I arrived in Couriway Town, I was met with Sycamore, and he wasn't too bad except for Venusaur, even though I was switch training The Slip to get her some EXP. Afterwards I talked to a few people in town and got some items.
Then I headed south to Route 19...and was presented with what gave me an AWFUL time that nearly made me lose my hair.

THE BRIDGE FIGHTS. Shauna would dispatch of Elegance and Happy, and the first few times I had Islandhead up front against Tierno, and his Roserade would rip through my team at least twice. I had to grab Fountainhead and use Acrobatics against that, but I did make it past him. And the first time I finally made it to Trevor, his Florgés was horrifyingly tough and caused me to fail. I was hoping he would take Perish Song, but he switched out from that.

He was somehow faster than my Sawk, so I had to lower his Speed the try I won. Raichu wasn't too bad that time since I had Lanturn with Stockpile.

Once I finally made it through those horrible, horrible rival fights, the VERY first thing I did was save after that, please, never again. I arrived in Snowbelle City, and decided on my final team member: Bash the Bagon. That had my team set on Elegance, Islandhead, Illumination, The Slip, Lancer and Bash. I had to do a lot of training for it to catch it up with the rest of my team, so I did some in the Le Yeah Rotation Battles, and turned on wireless communications and used some Exp. Point Power. I transferred some Level 3 from my main copy of X, and I delayed Bash’s evolution until Level 50 so he could learn Dragon Claw, and gain more EXP in its un-evolved stage. I took on the trainers on Route 19 to get some EXP for my two new members.

As I went through Route 20 (I really hate this place), Bash evolved into Salamence. I found Wulfric at the Pokémon Village and headed back to the Gym, where I beat the trainers.
With my team at the helm of Level 50/51, I went in for the Gym Leader.

Abomasnow was first, and I decided to go for Elegance to start. He was faster and used Energy Ball for over half, but I used Icy Wind for around 1/4-1/5 and then killed him with Hyper Beam, which was a critical hit that I don’t think was needed.
Cryogonal came out and immediately killed me with Flash Cannon. No big deal. I went for Illumination instead of being unoriginal and going to Islandhead. It was a long-winded bout with his Confuse Ray, Hail and Ice Beam, and my Rest and Discharge, until I paralyzed him and got him to the red. I switched out to Lancer as he used his Hyper Potion. I used Aura Sphere, which did over half, and he only used Hail, allowing me to kill him with another hit.
Avalugg was last. Aura Sphere was an OHKO.
Then I got the Iceberg Badge and TM13 for Ice Beam, yay. I went to Route 21, beat the trainers there and got some TMs that I can only get with Waterfall.

Then it was time for Victory Road. Had some tough trainers, but some of them were really dumb (one that uses High Jump Kick while i'm in the air? What's your problem?), although we trekked through it.

Calem wanted to battle, though, but he wasn't too difficult at all. I made it through the rest of the cave with some concerns and annoyances (the last three Veterans all were rather tough).

After my arrival at the league, I did a bit more training, mostly off of horde battles. I again transferred Exp. Point Power 3 from my main copy of X several times to make things faster. Once my team was Level 59, I went into the Pokémon League.
I decided to take on Malva first.

Pyroar was first while I began with Islandhead. Flamethrower did less than half because of Rivalry, while I OHKO’ed with Close Combat.
Talonflame came out and finished me with Brave Bird, taking a bit of recoil. I went for Elegance, and she used Brave Bird for less than half my health and was knocked to 2/3 from recoil before Rock Slide finished her.
For Torkoal, I went to Lancer, who took less than 1/4 from Stone Edge before promptly smacking her with Water Pulse, which was a critical hit that I doubt I needed.
Chandelure was last, and used Confide, but even after that Water Pulse was almost an OHKO. Before she healed, I went to The Slip. She went for Confuse Ray, but I hit through it and almost OHKO’ed with Earthquake. I switched for Bash before she healed again. Shadow Ball did just over half and lowered my Special Defense, but Earthquake was an OHKO with the Expert Belt backing.
Afterwards I went for Drasna.

Dragalge did two points under half of The Slip’s health with Dragon Pulse and was knocked into the red with Earthquake. She healed, and I missed with Mud Shot, but the Quick Claw activated and I OHKO’ed her with a critical hit.
Altaria was next. I used Yawn as she only used Cotton Guard. I switched to Elegance, and she used Cotton Guard again before falling asleep. But she switched out to Druddigon as I used Calm Mind, but Freeze-Dry wasn’t enough to OHKO, and she slammed me with Revenge. I went to Lancer as she healed, and 2HKO’ed her with Ice Beam.
Altaria came out again and missed Sing before being OHKO’ed with Ice Beam.
Noivern was last, and I let The Slip be KO’ed with Dragon Pulse because I wanted Bash to take that thing. I barely lived a Dragon Pulse (with 19 HP) and OHKO’ed her with Draco Meteor.
Wikstrom was next up.

Klefki was first up, and I began with Illumination. He used Spikes, while I went for Eerie Impulse to cut his Special Attack. He set up another layer of Spikes as I went for Discharge, which didn’t do too much but paralyzed him. Feeling daring, I switched to Bash as he used Torment. Earthquake killed him from around 70%.
Probopass was next. I went to Illumination again, taking around 1/4 from Power Gem. I used Eerie Impulse to cut his Special Attack before he went for Earth Power, which only did 1/5. I used Discharge just to kill his Sturdy before he killed me with a critical hit, joy. I went for Islandhead, took some Spikes damage and killed him with Close Combat.
Aegislash was up next. He used King’s Shield to block my Earthquake, and I switched to Elegance as death fodder to an Iron Head. He used King’s Shield again and blocked my Earthquake, then Flamethrower did just over half with a critical hit. He went to Blade form and used Iron Head for 1/3. He used King’s Shield AGAIN (what a jerk) and blocked my Earthquake, then I used Earthquake and got another critical hit, not sure if I needed it from 45% or so but it certainly served him right.
Scizor was last and OHKO’ed by Flamethrower.
Siebold was last in line.

Clawitzer was first while I had The Slip. He used Water Pulse, which failed because of Water Absorb, as I used Bulldoze to do 1/3 with a critical hit. Unfortunately, Aura Sphere OHKO’ed with a critical hit. I went to Illumination and used Eerie Impulse, while Dragon Pulse left me with over 3/4. Then I used Stockpile and took his Dragon Pulse like a champ. I used another, and ate another Dragon Pulse. I then went for Discharge, which came short of the kill, but I ate up another Dragon Pulse. He healed, but Discharge was a 2HKO.
Gyarados was up next and used Dragon Dance. Discharge didn’t OHKO, and he healed, but I slammed him with a critical hit.
Barbaracle was next up, and Discharge sadly did less than half. I went for Islandhead, and he used Cross Chop for half my health and took Rocky Helmet damage. I was faster, thankfully, and Close Combat finished him.
Starmie was last up. I switched for Elegance, and took a critical hit Psychic for almost half. Then I went for Bash and avoided a Surf thanks to the Lax Incense, while his Dazzling Gleam did 3/4 to me with a critical hit. Draco Meteor did around 70%, as I went back to Illumination and took not much from Dazzling Gleam, but then he hit with Psychic and lowered my Special Defense. I went for Lancer, and ate a Psychic (but he got ANOTHER Special Defense drop!!), and then a critical hit. I went to Elegance again, and he used Light Screen, but Freeze-Dry still finished him off, good riddance.
Finally, we came to the Champion, Diantha!

Hawlucha was first up as I began with Elegance. I lived Flying Press with over 1/3 my health, and OHKO’ed her with Hyper Beam.
Goodra was up next (yikes!) and promptly smacked me with Focus Blast. I went for Bash, who OHKO’ed her with Dragon Claw.
Aurorus was next. I could have used Brick Break, but I went for Islandhead as she used Reflect. Despite that, Close Combat was still an OHKO.
Tyrantrum was next. I went for The Slip because I wanted to save Islandhead. Dragon Claw did less than half, and I used Bulldoze to cut her Speed. The Quick Claw activated for kicks and I used Scald to knock her to half before she killed me with Crunch, and Reflect wore off. I used Lancer and finished her with Aura Sphere.
Gourgeist came out after that. She only used Trick-or-Treat while I OHKO’ed with Dark Pulse.
Gardevoir was last. She Mega Evolved and OHKO’ed Lancer with Thunderbolt. I went for Illumination, and Moonblast almost OHKO’ed me with a critical hit (guess it wouldn’t have mattered though) and lowered my Sp Atk, but it allowed me to get off Eerie Impulse and cut her Special Attack before she killed me. I went for Islandhead, and Moonblast came short of knocking me into the red, and so did my Poison Jab but it poisoned her too. She used ALL FOUR of her Full Restores here, each time having her knocked around the same point (some coming in low orange), and then killed me with Moonblast, even getting a critical hit at that. I only had Bash left, and was knocked into the red with Moonblast, but I used Fly, avoided a hit and finished her for the win.
As for AZ…Torkoal was handled with The Slip, for Sigilyph I used Yawn and then had Lancer take care of him, even after he used Cosmic Power. Golurk was last and promptly smacked by Water Pulse for the win.
