The Quiet One

Simon was always such a quiet one.
He spoke to no one.
No one spoke to him.
He was a target for bullies.
They came to him like flies.
He took the beating and moved on.
he once said they'd get what they deserved.

Swhirlies, duct tape, they gave it all to him.
But he said nothing. He took their wrath.
When people tried to comfort him, he brushed them off.
When people criticized him, he ignored them.
Simon was always such a quiet one.
No one saw it coming.

One day Simon wore a trenchcoat to school.
The bullies were on him faster than rain.
They had him against the wall.
They laughed and jeered.
Simon pulled back his coat.
A glint of metal in his hands...

Thirty students died that day.
Six teachers besides.
The halls crimson, the floors a bath.
He surprised them all.
No one saw it coming.
Simon was such a quiet one.

oO;; Wow, a bit disturbing, but that poem was really good IMO. o.o It just goes to show that bullying kids is the wrong thing to do. For no one should have to suffer being picked on, especially at school, a place to learn.

I felt horrible for Simon. And I pitied the bullies, as well as the other kids. For if you see someone being bullied, but do nothing to stop them, then you become part of the problem.

I think your description overall was good, you really gave off a vibe that Simon was quiet and reserved, trying to act like the bullies weren't there. But inside, he was screaming. Screaming to be let go, to just live life the way it was meant to be lived.

Awsome poem once again, Pogi. ^o^

Doubt it... :\

That is honestly why I write most of these poems so dark and solemn: they vent my feelings of underappreciation and frustration with society.

And that is probably why I write these poems so well. Because I can sympathize with the narrator.
