Now, I don't mean where as in the location. I mean where as in the type of house you have. An apartment, a loft, a townhouse, a house, and so on and so forth.

Which of those (or any other ones that you can think of) would you like to live? Who would you like to live there with?

I'm pretty good with any kind of dwelling. I think I've lived in most kinds of them now. Had an apartment last year, living in a townhouse this year, my parents have always owned houses... I guess if I had a preference of all the places I've lived, I like this townhouse the most because it's spacious for my roommates and I and we don't have to deal with the yard or exterior at all. (Walkways are all salted in winter, they cut the grass, etc.) Houses are more private and you can't hear people having loud parties in the connecting house (...usually) but you do have to deal with the yard stuff and a company isn't gonna do it for you. :( No thanks! Apartments are nice but kind of small, to me.

When I'm fully independent (assuming this even happens), I imagine I'd probably prefer an apartment though. Smaller and easier for upkeep.

As for who I live with, I'm quite happy with my two roommates. They're pretty much my best friends.

I want to live in a castle!

As much as I like having space apartments are nice in that you can never leave them dirty for a moment (well, I can't) because you're always going to be facing whatever mess you have. There's also the nice feeling of having everything right there on hand. Mostly I like them because they kind of force you to go out and not sit around on your butt every evening since you get cabin fever quicker in an apartment.

Houses, townhouses, and all those are good, too. As long as they have enough space for me and someone special to live in that's all that matters really.

Pretty much this, yo. Of course, if I get a family started, I'd like to live in a house. Nice, medium sized home, located on the beach of California, watching the sunset everyday on my beautiful patio. I want a vintage, retro, fiftys-diner styled kitchen and dining room. My whole home/apartment I want vintage and retro. Legit. I have THOUSANDS of ideas for my home.

I like how you think, my good sir. I'll be honest, that sounds fantastic.

I would probably do something like that, but I would probably stay in a small home or apartment (especially if it's at the beach or the mountains!). Unless I have children, anything bigger would be unnecessary for me.
Sorry I can't hear you; my awesomeness is too loud.

Everything is coming up Milhouse, guys.

Probably a smaller house, no more than two bedrooms. I thought about living in a huge mansion when I was younger, but then I realized that would be way too much house for just myself. Carpeting throughout - we currently have hardwood floors and I hate them. I'd also have a mini-fridge in my bedroom for convenience :P

I will need a large garage for my huge planned collection of classic cars, though. Which is why an apartment would eventually be unsuitable despite its small, reasonable size - I wouldn't be alloted enough spaces for all my cars. That same problems would keep me from living in a Quality Inn hotel full-time, which is something I thought of doing at one time... your room cleaned and breakfast served for you every day:)

Right now I'm in an apartment and I like it. If I were stuck in them the rest of my life I wouldn't mind. A small house wouldn't be bad either. All depends on what I could afford, really. Nothing big, though.

The bathroom and kitchen would need tile or wood floors. I am so sick of carpet everywhere. :(

A penthouse apartment overlooking a metropolis has been my housing dream since as long as I can remember. I have no desire to tend to a garden; big, open spaces mean nothing to me, and wooden floors are very easy to clean! It would have to be modern, but the size isn't particularly important; it'd probably just be me, in any event!

I'd like to live for a while in a college dorm or a campus apartment, with a roommate. I think that would be an awesome experience.

Then after that, I'd like to live in a large, stylish apartment that outsiders would consider more a work of art than an actual home. But I'd feel at home there. It would have to be spacious and beautifully decorated. I'd want to live there with a husband or a wacky roommate, Will & Grace style.

In the end though, I want to settle in a mansion with a spouse. It sounds cliché, but the idea of having a huge massive space where I could store anything I ever wanted and have it designed to be warm and inviting despite its superfluous size is just the lifestyle that appeals to me more than anything else. We could have people over all the time for parties or just for movies and just have an awesome time. We could go over-the-top decorating it for Christmas and have a huge Christmas banquet Great Hall-style and it would be like spending my life in my own personal form of Disneyland!

A regular house would be fine if I can afford one and keep it to myself. If there's one thing I would like to be able to do, it's being able to move around without feeling like the walls are about to close in.

I've lived in an apartment, trailor, house, two story, any except mansions and palaces. I would prefer to live in a small one floor home. I have a thing for two story houses, or any with basements due to earlier experiences, but besides that, a house big enough for three people. No city though, somewhere out in the country. Would love to live with a close friend or pair.

I'd love to live in an apartment in the middle of downtown! It'd be awesome to hear the hustle and bustle, with restaurants, shops, and public trasportation nearby, so that way I won't have to drive and waste gas that much. :D

I'll agree with the poster above me. Owning a house is somewhat of a hassle. I find renting an apartment easier. Less home improvement xD

I suppose a house is fine as long it has a garden. TRaditional houses are by far the most appealing, they invite you to live inside them :) I actually like houses that their garden is bigger than the house itself. With trees and everything... I also like big houses but there is always the practical mind who asks "who will clean them up? "yeah..and that's where my dreams end...

In the 0.000001% I do not become incredibly famous and more money than Scrooge McDuck, therefore not being able to buy Disney Castle and live in there forever(always been a dream of mine), I'd be quite satisfied with an apartment. I feel like I'm suited to living in an apartment anyway, though I definitely need to learn how to cook in order to truly have the full apartment experience. I don't imagine it'd be too hard for me to adjust from moving out of my mothers house into a place of my own, though I'd definitely miss my siblings. It'd be good to leave some memories behind, though. But I'm getting off-topic! My apartment would ideally be right in the center of the city with a view, but that'd cost too much, so I'm happy to lower my standards slightly. I'm soooo ready to get an apartment.

Umm.. well I currently live in a recently rennovated house, an apartment with beautiful harbour views, and a pretty big farm. And it is hard to decide what I like better. I like them all at different times. So I think a nomadic lifestyle, with continuous options and changing scenery would suit me. I don't like complacency, or when things stay the same for too long. Maybe I'll change one day, but who knows.
