Werewolves
These are not typical werewolves you hear about in stories. They transform fully into wolves and it isn't uncommon for them to have some sort of power as well. The full moon has no effect on them and they can transform whenver they please. Silver isn't any more harmful to them than it would be on a human.
Vampires
Again, not the typical vampires you hear about in stories. They are not immortal, though they do live longer than humans, and their bite does not turn their victim into a vampire. Garlic, sunlight, etc. does not affect them, though they do prefer to stay out of the sun because of their pale white skin. Their hair is also usually pale gray. They have incredible speed and strength. When they are angered their eyes turn red.
Dolwark
They are very large and have dolphin-like snouts and bodies, but they have a shark's teeth. Their dorsal fin is made up of three sharp ridges, the first one longer then the others. Their tail looks almost like a goldfish's. When they are swimming, their tail is folded in. When they are flying, it unfolds so it's horizontal rather than vertical so they can catch air current more easily. Their are very large and wing-like so they can fly. Their skin is smooth and blue-gray. They have both gills and a breathing hole so they can breath in and out of water.
Shardikes
They are about 4 feet long when full grown. They range from gray, to brown, to green. Their snouts are long, thin, and full of sharp teeth. The rest of their body looks like a shark's.
Pireel
They have long, eel-like bodies and even swim like them. If something edible is in the water nearby, they swarm it like piranha's. Not even the bones of the creature are left untouched.
Shardike-eater
Not even the inhabitants know what this creature looks like. All they know is that it has a tast for shardike and lives somewhere on the Shardike-eater Beach.
Thound
The are small, wolf-like canines about 1 foot tall at the shoulders. Their fur is yellow and they have pale blue tiger stripes. They can generate electricity and use it both to protect themselves and to hunt. Thunder is attracted to them so when there is a storm they are rarely seen out in the open. If they collect to much electricity within their bodies it can paralyze them for life or even kill them.
Shion
At first glance they appear to be nothing more than a rare white lion, but upon closer inspection the differences are obvious. Their tale is a bright yellow and their eyes are always either red or yellow. The fur surrounding their eyes is a pale, barely noticeable blue at birth, but as they age it gets darker until it is almost black. The males have splendid white manes with a few hairs mixed in.
Caterwauler
The vocabulary of these creatures is solely made up of loud caterwauls with growls and hisses mixed. They rarely bother to learn any actual words and the few that have know very few words and speak with great difficulty. They are about 5 and a half feet tall when they stand straight. They are humanoid only in shape. Their feet and hands have pads like a cat's. They have long, sharp claws in the place of nails. Their faces are shaped like a cats, but their mouths are much larger like a cheschire cat's. They have long cat ears with black tufts on the tips. They have short, bristly brown fur covering their entire body but have no tail. Their thin build gives them a frail appearance but they are really quite strong. They are incredibly lithe, with their legs being especially long and well muscled. They don't stand often, but rather move in a crouched position, using their long legs to propel them forward to great lengths.
