So what do you think will be the future? Will it be technological, and nothing will remind us of the past? Or will it be like right now, but with a few technological advances (kinda like Pokémon)?

I personally think it'll be something like Pokémon, where you can still recognize what everything is, but there's a couple new technologies (like reviving Fossils).

I think this is more grounds for speculative discussion rather than straight poll-taking because it's asking for our opinions, so I'm gonna move this over to Other Chat & Discussions :). If it doesn't pan out, it can always be sent back.

I think that the overall appearence of the world will look the same. The buildings will look like they do now, the houses will look like they do now, cars would look slightly diffrient but would still be close in looks to current cars.

Essentially, for the future I don't really imagine much change in anstethic style. The technology behind them will be more advanced, but I think that the world will still be recgonizable.

This is, of course, not accounting for any completely new technology. New tech will proably look diffrient, but for the next 20 or so years I see, mostly, massive improvements upon current technology, or in the case of new technologys, adaptation of a older technologys appearence. Medical technology is the exception since new stuff gets created for it practically everyday but I (like most other people) don't care what the medical equipment, or medical whatevers, look like as long as they work.

Speaking of medical technology, the one thing that I'm most excited over is the future prevalence of robotic/cybernetic limbs. I heard predictions that the first robotic limbs will hit the market in about 5 or so years. At first they will be used mainly to replace lost limbs, but I can easily see a kinda Deux Ex HR future where people have their current limbs removed and replaced with robotic limbs, or decide between whatever amount of other augmentations are available. (And before you ask, should this really be the case in the future then I will be going in to get me some robotics, proably robotic legs.)

Depends on how far in the future you go. The world in 1912 and the world is 2012 is a very, very different looking place. I'd imagine 2112 would be pretty different, especially at the rate our technology advances.
