My "extended" family is technically non-biological. They're just really close friends of my nana (grandma). Most of my blood-related extended family are long gone such as my nana . I do have some actually extended family members still alive though.

I spend the most time with the non-biological extended family and we get along pretty well.My family has gone over to my "aunt"'s house for Christmas for several year since my nana would live with her, but even after she passed we still visited.(I call her aunt out of respect even though I know she's not really my aunt. Plus I'm used to calling her that for years and so it feels weird just calling her by her name.) She helps my family out when we needed , even taking us shopping for things we need like new clothes. We also go there to see fireworks on the Fourth of July.
I get along with the people in the family pretty good too. When I was younger I spent more time with my "cousin" when we went over there.I get along alright with my uncle but there's been times where we've argued, though most of the time he's just messing with me. They have a daughter,my other cousin, who I only talk to on occasion, along with her husband, who I talk to even less.

As for my blood-related extended family, there are some I get along with ,and some I don't The ones I don't get along with, I'm not actually supposed to really talk to due to reasons. It's private family matters dealing with alot of drama and such that I can't mention, especially to random strangers on the Internet.

My extended family really believes in Chinese Tradition-- you know, those stereotypes you hear about where they favor boys over girls, oldest siblings inherit the family business, and you have to attend college/marry someone who is also from East Asia or else you get disowned? (I'm Taiwanese btw, so this means to my grandparents Chinese boys are a big no. There goes like, more than a quarter of the male population hahahaha!)

Yeah anyway. You see, I'm female, which kind of automatically means I don't matter at all in my extended family. Then, no less, I get along much better with my mother's side of the family, but since she married into my father's family (and it can be said that she is 'no longer a part of her original family',) it's frowned upon for her to interact with them too frequently, which means in turn, I don't get to see them very often either.

Then there's my father's side of the family. Oh my god. Despite the fact that I, as an ideal Taiwanese granddaughter who continually seeks to 'bring honor' to my grandparents, feign complete happiness and subservience, I'm still pretty much the "other side of the coin" to my older brother who is literally this perfect human being who can do no wrong. Because he's the oldest grandson of the oldest son of the father's side of the family. (It's that age and gender hierarchy I mentioned earlier.)

Oh and that thing I mentioned about disowning? Yeah, technically I have five cousins on my father's side, but four of them have been essentially disowned, so I guess I don't get along with them because I'm not supposed to talk to them/mention them.

So TL;DR: Yes, on the surface I get along with my extended family that's uh, still considered part of the family, but I don't know why. I have to try so hard in order to stay in good standing with everyone and all I ever get is a bag of crap handed back to me. I guess it's because I believe in the traditions quite a bit myself, so I can't bring myself to disobey my elders.

Other than being super bitter at them on a pokemon forum hahahaha

For the most part, yes. I think it has something to do with me being the oldest in the current generation or something, though. So there might be some sort of respect/pride involved in there. That's with aunts and uncles, by the way. As far as cousins are concerned, the oldest blood cousin I have that lives in America is the age of my baby sister, which is 5. So yeah, we get along. Although I still don't like how she stole my yo-yo.
he did it, not me.

I get along with almost all of my extended family. I don't like a lot of them, but I don't. I actually just re-connected with a cousin of mine a few weeks ago. Hadn't talked to him in years and now he's pretty much my favorite person, haha.
If you meet me, have some courtesy, have some sympathy, and some taste.

Well, I used to, not really now but I still talk to my cousin sometimes. And I've visited my English cousins in London a few times and we can hang out great but connection kind of slips away whenever I go back to here so yeah, not really at the moment.

Considering there are about 35 from my dad side, their houses all live a 5-10 minute walk from my place and all 15 from my mum's side live about a 15 minute drive away, I see my extended family all the time and I get along with them really well.
