What are the words you always misspell no matter how hard you try? Do you point out spelling mistakes that often?(AKA, are you a grammar nazi?)

I always misspell the word Favourite. I always skip the letter u in the word, so i find myself shortening it to fave so it is easier for me to spell. Same for complain, the I in the word doesn't feel right.

And about pointing out grammar and spelling, I don't do it often as I come of as unpleasant when I complain about something so petty.

So you just say 'complan'? lol

Anyways no I don't really misspell things often, except when I'm really not sure how it's spelled/spelt???, I just don't really care. And I try not to correct people too often haha.

I'd just like to point out that you can leave the U out of favourite and it's still correct because that's how they spell it in America :P

For me, I always misspell gonorrhea. I add an extra O in there between the H and the E. Also diarrhea - I'm sure there's that extra O but maybe it's an Australian thing. I never bothered to check lol.

Being able to spell gonorrhoea usually comes hand in hand with a certain amount of promiscuity.

After all those "Hey uh, you might need to checked out..." texts you end up putting in a lot of practice.

Yeah I misspell my fair share of words. I had this legendary moment though a few years ago where someone misspelled 'misspell' (only put in one 's') and I called her out on it and she was all like "yeah whatever" and I was all like "HARRRRR YOU SUCK!" It felt so good, cause I didn't get along with that person too well.

I rarely misspell anything, and when I do it's usually because I typed too fast and didn't re-read what I wrote... XD; I've always had a knack for spelling/grammar. It bothers me a lot when people use the word "it's" wrong for possession (like saying "the dog ate it's food", which should be "the dog ate its food") but I really never point out any mistakes people make.

I'm pretty good at spelling, but for some reason, I always screw up "broccoli". Not quite sure why.

I don't really correct people, unless they are being just plain irritating or I have problems understanding what they are trying to say.

Weird. I always want to put the frickin' I before the E... Also, definitely used to be a word I would always misspell, but now I say it out in my head haha.

When it comes to proofreading and the like, I am the worst grammar nazi. Actually, even in texts and stuff too... :/

And in Amurrica it's favorite! :laugh:

"Necessary" and any form of that dreaded word. I always end up right clicking and letting Firefox correct me ; ;
This right here. I'm sure there are other words that I end up misspelling it whenever I try to type them but I can't seem to remember that at the moment. I'll edit this post when I do remember them because I know there is at least one or two more.

I'm bad at occasionally too.

There are some things that bother me A LOT, but I won't correct people on it. Like "begs the question". Everyone uses it as the same as "that raises the question", when that's not what it means at all. But a ton of people use it that way and I feel like a jerk telling them so I don't, haha.

I'm bad a restaurant, and necessary.

I'd just like to point out that you can leave the U out of favourite and it's still correct because that's how they spell it in America :P
OMG THANK YOU. I can't tell you how many times people have tried to correct me and I'm all like, "Depends on what nationality you are, bro", and get, "OMG NO IT ISN'T YOU STUPID AMERICAN LOL U SO DUMB."
;;

But restaurant is the one word that always has and always will be the death of me. I can never place the "au" in the right spot. ;;

I have some problem with the "i before e" rule. Because in German, "wierd" would be the way to spell it. So now spelling "weird" is really hard because˙now I read it as "wired".

I try to tell people they spelled something wrong, but I don't beat them over their head with that mistake.

I misspell a lot of words because I really don't care about spelling all that much as long as it still kinda sounds right to me and usually I'll end up looking up the spelling anyway because it'll just frustrate me not knowing.

Grammar on the other hand...
Typo's kill me and the internet speak really annoys me as well.

Also saying me instead of I frustrates me as well.
eg:
Me and bob went to the beach.
IT SHOULD BE
BOB AND I WENT TO THE BEACH!
ITS NOT THAT HARD TO REMEMBER AND ITS EVEN LESS LETTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Words that I think follow the "i before e" rule, but actually don't, like receive. I always get that wrong. And some words with double letters, like occasionally because I can't remember which letter is double or if there are two letters that are doubled ahhh. :( I just want to point out that I actually did spell both my example words wrong. Corrected them of course, but stil...

I am definitely a Grammar Nazi. Especially with typos. TYPOS ARE MY ARCHNEMESIS. I see them on signs and in school papers and in books and EVERYWHERE and I just want to scribble them out!! Yeah, I know that is weird, but whatever.

There's this printing shop place near my house that has "stationary" instead of "stationery" on its sign.

Also, recently I saw a sign advertising fruit and it spelled "avocados" wrong. They spelled it like this- 'avacados'

In terms of what I spell wrong, I used to have a lot of trouble with necessary and definitely. I have to spell Necessary in my head to get it right, and I sound out Definitely in my head. lolol.

The one word I will never misspell again- A-C-Q-U-A-I-N-T-I-A-N-C-E. I got out in my school Spelling Bee on that. Never forget the freakin' C.

My spelling sucks. I couldn't begin to tell you the amount of words I cannot spell off the top of my head. ALL OF THEM. @[email protected] If it's long and I don't use it too often I will probably misspell it.

Oddly enough, despite writing, I don't flip if people misspell words or use incorrect grammar on the Internet. The best I get is irritated, and even then I still won't say anything.

That reminds me of one of my bosses. She keeps spelling ensure as insure. One day I am going to tell her "I cannot insure that I can do what you want, but I can ensure that I do." One day...

The word "definitely" always gets me. I'll spell it definetly, diffinetly, and as many other ways that look right but aren't as possible. I raely ned to lurn hao too cspel.
