(read what i said in your thread) okay, i've spiced it up a little bit... now, what i did was used my image editting skills to get rid of the text, or "shave", then i added some text that looks more professional. then, what i did to make it look light was... duplicate the bg layer and go to filter>blur>gaussian blur, and set to 3.1 pixels. then, set the duplicate's blending mode to screen. ^^,

Hey ACManga. I tried to ake a good banner with a good font.
*Points to siggy*
I just looked around in my files and found this old font I dowloaded and used it on my banner. How does it look? And how do you do that text effect that fills a font in with colour? I have tried to figure how to do it, but was unable to find out.

do you mean like the ones i used to do? well, there's two different ways.. you can make it a brush or you can mess with opacity, but i prefer the brush way. in order to do that, you need to take out your rectangular marquee tool, and select the area you want to blend in. go to edit>define brush, and name it. then, take out your brush tool, set the blending mode to multiply, and take out your brush (of the pic) and brush where you want it. ^^,

hmm.. Stevo, what kinda effect you looking for? i think the mosaic one goes very well with an ocean ripple, so i'll teach you how to do that ^^ first, go to Filter>Render>Clouds with any colors you want. then, go to Filter>Distort>Ocean blur with any settings over the default. then, go to Filter>Distort>Ripple with medium settings, and anything over default. then, go to Filter>Texture>Patchwork with settings all at 0. there you go. do a grunge over that, and it'll look great! ^^
