Hey everybody,

I'm new here (obviously- hence the thread). Never played Pokemon as a kid, but recently got a Pokemon Gold version for my phone. Great game! Attention to detail and the strategic aspects are what I enjoy the most. I was enjoying Gold so much in the phone that I also got Ruby for my PC. I really can't believe that I missed out on these games when I was younger. I'm really enjoying them now, though.

Better late than never, right?

Anyways, I've managed to beat Pokemon Gold and I'm not having problems with Ruby. BUT after beating Gold I got "Pokemon Ultimate End" (a hack of Gold) for my phone. And I'm stuck- I can't find/get the radio upgrade, which I apparently need to wake up the Snorlax.

I assume that this isn't the correct place to ask for game help, but hopefully someone who reads this can tell me whether requests for "Pokemon Ultimate End" assistance should go in the "G/S/C" section (it's a hack of Gold) or in the "Spinoffs" section.

All for now,

Wolfatbar

Hey, Wolfatbar!

Welcome to PC!

I love to read stories about people who become fans at an older age! They're always nice to hear. :p I'm glad you're now technically hooked! The entire Pokémon series is great! Apart from playing player-made ROM hacked versions of the games, you should definitely try out the other main handheld games that you haven't played yet. :p

I'm not much help when it comes to assisting you with the issue you're having with your walkthrough of Pokémon Ultimate End. :[ Apparently, from what I read from this thread created by the game's original scripter/author (which is locked now), the game is completed and can be played all the way through. Other than the information found in that thread, no one can really help you much unless they have played the hack before and know what to do. Also, seeing as it is a hack, there isn't too much information out on it. Oh, and if you have any questions concerning anything surrounding ROM hacks, the emulation forum is definitely the place to ask them in, although I'm not sure if there's a thread set up in there to ask questions about a specific hack. Usually, if a person has a question about a hack they're playing, they'll ask the question in the specific thread made for that hack, but this specific ROM hack you're playing is quite old and doesn't have an active thread anymore, so I'm not entirely sure if you'll be able to find help apart from anyone you may stumble upon who can assist you from experience. Sorry about that. :\

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay here! If you ever have any questions or would just like to chat, don't hesitate to leave a visitor's message on my profile!

See you around! :)

Ooh, I'd love to have the older games on my phone or iPad. That's pretty amazing! Welcome to PC, wolfatbar. ^^

You definitely missed some amazing things but thankfully it's never too late to get into Pokemon.. there are so many amazing games in the franchise waiting for you to try them. Are those two the only games you've tried so far? I'd highly recommend the fourth and fifth generations since there are just so many changes (both gameplay and graphical-wise) that were implemented into the series. You can utilize our generation-based sections anytime if you need help with the games, too; our members are always happy to help. :D

And I can't help out personally with your Ultimate End issue, the best place for that would be in the Emulation section. Gyardosamped already pointed you in the right direction but I'm sorry that the official thread was closed, it would have been the best place to ask for help. ): All discussions on hack games go in Emulation rather than the section of the game they're hacked from. So Gold hacks would not go in neither the Metal/Color Gen. Games section nor Spinoffs but rather in Emulation. Luckily you can always look up walkthroughs and such on Google - have you tried to do that yet?

I hope you enjoy your stay on PC though, and make sure not to disappear or we'll be sad! Have fun!
