I wanted to share some useful webpages to you guys if you don't know about them already. If you know about any other useful webpages concerning security, please suggest! :P I tried out these programs and found tons of bugs in my system. Even though I only visit anime/gaming/yahoo/pokemon pages/blogs/artwork pages, I STILL got infected with adware. (An entire list might I add. -_-;; And I didn't even notice them.)

Many links are posted on PC everyday which sometimes lead to sites with various popups. The popularity of popups and messengers are high today. Sometimes popups automatically download spyware/adware onto your computers. Some adware programs such as GATOR or ORBIT or XUPITER. To remove these programs and a list of many other adware/spyware, below is a list of helpful removal programs.

These programs are strictly for removal of adware/spyware/ect; They do NOT install more ads onto your computer.

AdAware
Removes or quarintines adware/spywares. But it is better if you install both programs.

Spybot Search & Destroy
Another engine to "search & destroy" adware/spywares. It will be useful to instal both engines onto your computer.

CW Shredder
Ever mistankently typed in the wrong URL? Or you try to visit sites and you are redirected to some strange page? This program fixes that and removes and browser problems caused by adware/spyware bugs.

I hope you guys find these web pages helpful!

I've used one of these programs before and I would like to point out something:
Spybot Search & Destroy cannot efficiently remove spyware/viruses like Trojan Keyloggers even though it claims to be able to.

Pretty thorough but you missed Hijack-This and Qwik-Fix.
Hijack-This seems to be for computer professionals, because they only give you a list of files not stating which ones are safe to delete. that is my opinion. =/ i'm not that good with computer language.

i got a bunch of junk after using dsl. -_-; wireless is also unsafe.

when i use 56K, usually nothing happens. :P my connection is too slow for the spyware. hahaha :D yes, adware rules! if anyone knows anymore good ones, i'd like to hear about it. =D and any really good free virus scans?

I have Spybot Search and destroy on my computer now anyway. As for keyloggers and viruses, I depend on my Norton Antivirus.
Oh yes and Norton Antivirus has a free virus scan online at http://www.symantec.com
Find the "Downloads" section on the main page and Click on "Symantec Security Check".

Cyndaquil7, a genius already figured out how to stop Adware, Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/rstrplcy.asp

It is meant for corporations but home users that are technical and have time can configure it. Microsoft did not specify spyware/adware but it did state viruses. Spyware/Adware is very similar to viruses in the sense it must execute to work. This would keep it from executing.

Zapchu, yeah it is. Most people don't do anything with it unless a professional tells them that they should try it.
Try out Sabayon Linux today.
