I like your attitude! Things like this always pass. As artists, and artists on the internet no less, it's not uncommon for these things to come in waves. The creativity, the motivation, the participation, the resources; seldom do they ever line up and work out for a long period of time. It seems to be just the nature of things, and A&D is a pretty prime example of that. It's a gift and a curse, haha. But at the risk of sounding cliche, we always bounce back!
Also welcome to PC! :) I hope you decide to post your gallery here!
right on! i agree, i think all artists have periods like that, where they have a hard time drawing or feel like they can't draw anymore. but definitely, i think as long as you are passionate and dedicated then you can do anything. also, thanks so much! i'm glad to be here, and it's nice to meet you! and i really do think i should start a gallery on here, as soon as i decide which drawings to use in my first post. c:
I recommend you make a gallery on here! I mean, there's a lot of times that you won't get comments for awhile so don't get discouraged!
I've been feeling sick on top of this, but I'm trying really hard to push forward. I really need to make a series of illustrations or something like that, or a project to do with everyone else.
I'm not on other pokemon fourms,
(I was a mod for a tiny one that died in flames but-) but yeah this is the most active I've seen a non art-centric overall forum! The key is to just keep on going even if you're not getting any attention. While exposure is important, it's easier to get noticed if you're regular about SOMETHING, comments or sketching. I'd be doing much better right now if I kept to a schedule!
oh yeah! i actually think i will in a bit! just being around and connecting with people who are really into art is inspiring, so i think that's a big motivator as well! oh gosh, i'm sorry to hear that, being sick definitely doesn't help anything at all! that stinks, i hope you feel better soon. but kudos to you for trying to stay on top of everything even though you aren't feeling well, that's awesome!
and i totally agree, i think that being consistent is key! i was pushing myself to draw every day before, even if it was just a little bit, and i did that for a few months but the past month has been a lot more inconsistent haha so i'm just trying to stay dedicated and get back into the swing of things now. i hope you can find a schedule that works for you too, because i think that's a great idea and it would help a lot!
