All too often do people mean to post in response to someone immediately above them but are beat to the punch by another member. Stuff like Forum Games that have to do with the poster above them or even RPing.

On another forum I frequented, it implemented a posting tool called "Post Hijack". What it does is when you are posting any type of message, whether it's targeted to a member or not, if someone posts even moments before you, your message sending will be halted and a notification appears with a message that says: "Someone has posted before you, would you like to revise?" in which, you will have saved time by not posting the message, realizing someone has made your point before you or has otherwise "ninja'd" your post, and have to edit it. Instead you'll be notified someone has posted before you and before the message has been sent, you have a moment to analyze what the other person has posted and change your post accordingly.

Just a suggestion. :)

I think this could be helpful in Pokemon Trivia and Forum Games, definitely. As long as it's a feature that can only be active in certain forums, I think it'd be nice. I never go in those forums though, so this is just the opinion of an outsider, haha.

But ninja'ing is so much funnnnnn :D we can devise interesting excuses in our ninja'd post edits lol

I've seen this on other boards, too, and it's useful.

I think this could be pretty useful in the trivia sections but it would seem like a total pain in some other topics like every new speculation thread in the 6th Gen forum. If it gets implemented I hope it won't actually be called "Post Hijack".

I'mma point out that it would be useful in the RP Corner as well.

This, and also that it's able to be turned off by the member. It can actually be pretty annoying at times, so it's more of a niche tool than an overall forum feature. It has its uses though!

I think it'd be a nice and convenient little feature. It'd be useful when answering quick questions.

Yes, many people would like it if turned off, but the thing is, others take pride in 'ninja'ing other people. I personally think it fun, because the rapid posting forums usually don't talk about important stuff, and there's no harm in having that, since the other person usually previews the post in the thread and can easily do edits to suit the 'ninja'er. Besides, rapid posting forums like FG don't usually need much writeup or much thinking, do they?

I too am for any changes that prevent posts from getting ninja'd, specifically in the forum games, for there are posts in there with countdowns (such as the gender game) and can be a pain when one has to revise their post because they were ninja'd

On other boards, typically there is a "turn off" feature in your Options.
