Imagination is a wonderful thing. I have a lot of it, and I think that it exceeds other people's imaginations.

Oh my gosh, all this tech talk in the DCC has made me so happy today x)

@Somniac You're writing a novel? That sounds really cool!
I was just thinking when I clicked on this thread that "I bet Zach is enjoying this topic". I actually thought for a second that this was the T&I DCC, haha.

Also that is wonderful about the novel!! =D
Thanks guys <3. It means a lot even if you don't realize it!

Welcome back Somniac. Been a while since I last saw you around. Good luck on your novel! I always wanted to write a book.
Hey! yeah it's been a while, I've been super busy as always. How're things?

I wish that I had the patience and imagination to write a book because it seems like it would be a fun thing to do, but I have neither of those things.
Patience is something which I would have said I don't have, in that I get really frustrated when i don't make a progress for a while. Overall this is good as it helps give me the drive to stop procrastinating.

I'm just like you jellicentfan1. Well, fantasy imagination at least. I'm very creative when it comes to experiments, machines or inventions.

And congratulations on your novel Somniac!

Damn girl, you're writing a novel?
Can I ask what it's about? I seriously do love a good book, and writting one is quite commendable! You have my full support!
With my luck, watch it be a book about satanism.

I've written some stuff before, but almost always hate how it turns out and end up deleting/burning it. . .

You know, one of the things that will haunt you in life is your past internet activity, either on Facebook or other websites.

Am I right, anyone?

I guess one could say that :p but I do agree that future jobs could very well haunt you based on your internet history and what you've done, because I have heard of cases where people have lost their jobs due to stuff they've posted onto Facebook :/

Master the art of a double identity on the internet. Looking at one of my "work" pages, you'd have a pretty hard time connecting me to a site like this. Not easy, but worth it. :P

Just hope no one from a future job hunts you down in any way though and you should be fine :P but also, just watch what you put on Facebook because you don't want to jeopardize your job either (i.e. don't bash your boss in a status because somone could see that and use it against you to get you fired)

Other than that, good morning/afternoon/evening DCC :3 (its morning here) how are y'all doin today?

Good evening, DCC! My day has been fine, thanks. I'm back to using my old HP laptop for the time being... I'm having quite some difficulty typing; HP and Apple keyboards are so different. ._. The thing with this old machine is it has an extremely high magnetic field and I think I'm already feeling the effect from sitting in front of it for the past 10 minutes...

And yeah, I agree that it is extremely important to keep your Internet history relatively clean or else risk losing your job, or possibly not even finding one. I've read once that someone had his/her boss as a friend on Facebook. The employee posted about how much she hated his/her boss in a status message, and the next day, BOOM, she got fired. It's that serious.

I don't post much on Facebook anymore, let alone my activity on Facebook has been getting lower and lower as of late. And here in the US, it's Labor Day, so I would be really damned if someone actually had school today over here.. :s

I don't post much on Facebook. I mostly use it as a way to keep in touch with people, so I do more liking and commenting than anything.

I'm boring and don't have anything interesting to say anyway. :P
I don't use facebook. It's an easy way to leak your privacy and it could easily be used against you in many cases. It's also an easy way to get cyberstalked by creepers.

We had a guy from our school that was cyberstalked by a stranger posing as a teenage girl. This guy was actually a registered sex offender in the area, but was pretending to be this young girl that eventually became the guy's "girlfriend". The two planned a meetup at a local restaurant, but luckily there were cops in the restaurant to catch the guy once the teen realized that he wasn't meeting the teenage girl that he thought he had been dating for weeks.

I only use Facebook for connecting and keeping in touch with friends, which I mostly either forget to do or never get around to doing lol. Sometimes there are things there which keep me notified such as my uni's Facebook page and clubs and groups. The most I do is like other people's posts, occasionally comment, rarely post. I prefer typing out my life's events and thoughts in more appropriate life-event-and-thought-typing social networking sites such as Twitter. It's probably the most private place where my family can't invade. Hopefully they will never do.

In the months leading up to when I joined PC in 2011, I used to love using Facebook regularly because I mainly tried to catch up with old friends from school, but it appears I forgot my password and as a result I have all but remained silent on the site since, because apparently I discovered a love for that craziness called Tumblr. My Twitter page is even rarely updated these days lol.

All the people I would bother talking to on Facebook have me on twitter (and avidly use twitter) anyway, so I don't end up on FB much at all. I only visit when I have notifications. :/

It's kind of crappy because I have no idea how to use FB and it's permeated so much of media now but... oh well. It's not like I actually want to use it, so I don't mind that I'm clueless about it. I'm sure if everyone I knew in high school could figure it out, I probably could too if I sat down and actually put some effort into it.

I have three online friends on FB but.. that's it. Never log into it since it's just boring to me and nothing I can ever really keep up with. :(
