cafeteria food sucked at my school too, except the nachos those were actually really good. I ate that every day for lunch for a whole school year because the pizza tasted like plastic, the "chicken" sandwiches weren't all that tasty, and everything else looked like Alligator meat.

I... was supposed to pay a dollar and fifty cents for lunch everyday. I ended up stealing it everyday. God, I'd forgotten all about that, does that make me a criminal? :c

Oh, there was this span of like 4 months where some angel went and broke the machine we all deposit out money in for school food. Always wanted to thank him, everyone had free lunch for the 4 months. =P

As for the food itself, for the last two years of high school, it was actually pretty damn good. For school food, that is.
he did it, not me.

Freshman/Sophomore years: School served Dominoes Pizza and fries every day. With choices of salad bar or gross cafeteria food if you don't want pizza/fries. I got pizza everyday, but sometimes it can get annoying haha.

Junior/Senior years: The food was just gross and I avoided it like the plague. I brought my own sandwich/fruit and brought my own drink.

My High School had pretty good food when it was both a Middle and High School. But during the course of my seven years there it just gradually got worse. At least what I always ate did. I had to change my usual several times. :(

I almost always had pizza. Never took (stole) it though. They had burritos and some nice stuff, though, tasted pretty good too.

The worst part was getting caught stealing. Which did happen a few times. Oh, that, and leaving the cafeteria with the food. =P
he did it, not me.

I brought my lunch most of the time in high school cause I couldn't afford to buy lunch everyday. The prices for food somewhat high and it was only decent tasting at best. Usually when I did buy lunch I could only bring 5 bucks and that would get me a soda, fries and a burger. Sometimes pizza which was alright. One thing I love though is that they had these chicken strips dipped in hot sauce for 75 cents and they were delicious. I'd order them whenever I could.

Sometimes a few friends and I would sneak out of school to get lunch off campus, which isn't allowed where I went to school for some stupid reason. One of our friends worked at Sonic so we would all get free Route 44s and discounted food it was awesome.

My school actually let us leave school for lunch, so long as we got back in time. We'd lose our privileges otherwise.

And dad would always give me 20 bucks for lunch every other week. No way that money was gonna go towards food lol
he did it, not me.

Same here. 5 dollars barely got you much at our school.

And we weren't allowed to leave campus or the lunchroom for lunch neither could we order food from a restaurant/delivery.

A snack store? Dang you were lucky. We weren't even allowed to have food in class or the halls. :/

Our school had a snack store, too, and it was always open. The school also had a few vending machines, so that you could get yourself some drinks whenever you wanted to. xD" For us, it was okay to eat in class, but you had to make sure that you were also paying attention to the teacher. If a teacher finds you not focusing on what's on the board, then you'll not be allowed to eat in his or her class again.

My high school had the same thing, a snack store and vending machines, but they were only open all day for the Year 12s, the younger kids had to wait for recess and lunch. Eating in class wasn't allowed, but my Chem teacher allowed it if he wasn't trying to teach something (like if we were just copying notes from the board or something).

During my junior/senior years of high school, you were allowed to leave the campus during lunch. It was also a 1 hour lunch, and it was a small town so it was pretty awesome. :D

Leaving campus for lunch is outright prohibited at my high school. If you're caught by any administration or the school resource deputy, you could face suspension, or possibly expulsion. Yes, lunch periods are 50 minutes, but my school is right off a major highway with only one sidewalk and the only two restaurants closeby are a Hardee's and a Subway, and those are at least a half mile away.

We weren't allowed to leave school for lunch here. People did it anyway though and some even went home.. the security didn't seem to care much. :(
