Well, my combination of Rufflet and Basculin make a great HM combination as Rufflet can learn Strength and Fly whereas Basculin can learn all the others.

It's quite a strange fact that Rhyperior learns surf, as he is supposed to be 4x weak to water. I was also surprised that Golurk could Fly, despite its heaviness, strong arms and no wings but as that was demonstrated in the anime, I understand how it works now.
Boilurn, the Scald Pokemon and the evolved form of Hottle. It can burn the holder by the lightest of touches when it boils. It can boil 3 gallons of water in one minute.

I would like to fly on a Latios, because you dont need food or invisibility. If Latios supposedly could fly as fast as a jet, i could get to my destination so fast i wouldn't need to snap my fingers. Though the after effect of Latios' speed which was once demonstrated in the Pokemon Heroes movie that Latios can supposedly circumnavigate the world in 2 minutes flat, a speed like that would cause a sonic boom so loud, that peoples internal organs would actually COMBUST and they would die. It would also potentionally destroy poorly built houses. So Latios is not a good idea if you think realistically. I would choose Tropius, because it floats kindly and gently with its wings, and it has food. 1 word, 4 letters, and im sold.

Drifting around is so much easier than actually committing.

Rhydon's ability to use Surf was brought up in the Kimono Girls' theater, and it still makes no sense how something that heavy and dense wouldn't sink in the water. A Tyranitar was seen swimming at the end of Pokemon 4Ever as well. Snorlax can learn the move too, but fat floats, so yeah. :7:

As for smaller Pokemon using Fly, it doesn't make sense unless there's a large number of them. Butterfree was shown carrying Ash in the anime, and it can't even learn Fly. However I suppose if you had a large number of Pidgey/ Pidove/ whatever, you could tie ropes to them and hold on. Someone did this in the anime with a bunch of Ledyba if I remember, yet another Pokemon that can't learn Fly.

Nidoking,Tyranitar,Aggron, and Rypherior all have the ability to use surf it baffles me to why they can learn Surf
Yeah it is sorta funny they learn it given they have Water weaknesses, but if you think that's weird some Pokemon that learn Fly are little birds that you know wouldn't easily be able to lift a person, like Pidgey and Starly. I often sometime questioned moves learned by a Pokemon, including HMs. Like how Yanmega doesn't learn Fly despite that its Pokedex entry in HeartGold claims it can lift an adult human, or how Zangoose has sharp claws yet can't lean Cut.

Well if you say so they introduced Emolga just to cover this feature where a mouse can also Fly.
Coming back to discussion, I will want pokes like Electivire to learn Surf. Man they are Bulky and Big why can't they swim in water?? Also I agree with OO7-Eleven about Salamence.. Pretty much similar vote from me...
