I strongly agree with having several different possible shiny variations, because this would mean getting duplicate shinies would be much rarer.
While you would still be able to find a shiny forme of a Pokémon that you already have, it may not necessarily be the same colour which would make the two of them different.

While I don't necessarily think there are needs for new color shinies, I think there needs to be some changes to the existing colors.

For example, shiny Garchomp. If you didn't know it was a shiny you wouldn't think it's one. I think a... white or red one will do instead of the current color.

I think in terms of shinies in general, one alternate coloration is more than enough. That being said, it might be interesting to have rare cases (like in the anime) where a Pokemon is colored different than both it's normal and shiny form, with the first two coming to mind being the Pink Butterfree and the Crystal Onix. One offs like these might be a neat idea, so that if there's ever an in-game event shiny like a yellow Gyarados instead of the red one, it wouldn't dimish the excitement of finding a shiny of that species.

I agree with that. If you're not paying attention and don't know what you're looking for you could completely miss things like shiny Garchomps. And a lot of the green shinies are really ugly. I definitely wouldn't be sad if they recolored some of the existing shines.

As for different colors of shiny, I think that'd just make shiny hunting harder than it already is. 1/8192 chance of getting a shiny, but also different variations? It'd be so hard to get the shiny you want.

I'd be all for alternate shiny events though. Since those are easier to obtain and it'd be really cool.

I think it would be more fun with small differences in the normal coloration of pokémon, rather than the shiny. Shiny is a special mutation, very rare, that yields the same color for each pokémon of the same species that has the mutation. But pokémon who don't have it should just have some differences in pattern or color shade or something. Such as Spinda, but with more finesse.

If this was a thing, some shiny forms would definitely have to be changed, such as Pikachu and Garchomp's as they would look more like usual variations than shinies.

But nah, for the question at hand, I don't think more shiny colors are necessary. As explained in my first paragraph.

Personally, I would think that if they added an extra color palette, everyone would be hunting Shinies. Skarmory is cool, Shiny Skarmory is cooler, but a third color scheme would make the rare Shinies even more rare.
I honestly don't see why we should need such a concept, but hey. I don't make the rules.

but we have pokemon like crystal onix , purple kecleon and crystal onix also ash's lapras mother is a different color. So the pokemon world has bases for it obviously its not important to the franchise but it sure would be cool to add it on to later generation and have certain things to trigger it so it would be harder to obtain and it could seperate itself from obtaining a shiny the normal way

I completely agree here. Minor differences could make catching Pokemon much more meaningful. It could work for both shiny and non-shiny. The only reason I wouldn't want alternate palettes for shinies, is because they're so rare it would be hard to observe the differences during gameplay. In addition I think it takes away from the value of a shiny Pokemon, in some way I can't really explain.

Have you seen how lazy Gamefreak is, with the colourations of some shinies? I would much rather Gamefreak first get in the habit of thinking-through good colors for their shinies than mass produce shinies with even less significant colours.

I wouldn't mind it, though.
