When I was much younger, me and my brother used to make up our own pokémon. We often merged two pokémon to create a new one. I think that would be a very interesting approach to pokémon, having merged ones. Sort of like Kyurem and its forms, but less legendary :P
One was Koffysaur, a Bulbasaur with something Koffing-like instead of a bulb on its back. Another was a mix between a Pikachu and a Cubone, electric ground. It was probably named Cuchu because Pikabone just isn't a great name, haha! There could be lots of cool designs and typings coming from combining pokémon that are very different.
Televion is so not an impossible thing these days. It is a bit of a stretch imo to make a pokémon based on such a modern thing; Rotom was kind of a special case you know. But with ice creams and pokéballs and swords being pokémon, this could probably work too xD
Not sure I think Magikarp needs a prevolution, haha. But it sure is cute. Maybe it should have a different color though? Such as the colors of a Gyarados, or maybe just be yellow with some blue stripes, like the guppy from The Little Mermaid ;)
