So this is the first time I'm ever building a team for competitive battle(Gen 6). As such I really have no idea what to expect and have built a team mostly on what I like and what I've read about metabattling. So. Thoughts? Anything dreadfully wrong here?

Arcanine
Adamant Flash Fire
Life Orb
72 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 176 Spe

Flare Blitz
ExtremeSpeed
Wild Charge / Crunch
Close Combat

Drapion
Jolly Sniper
Black Sludge
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe or 252 Attack, 156 HP, 100 Speed

Earthquake
Crunch
Cross Poison
Aqua Tail / Toxic Spikes

Vaporeon
Bold Water Absorb
Leftovers
248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe

Roar
Ice Beam
Wish
Scald

Breloom
Adamant Poison Heal
Toxic Orb
12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe

Spore / Substitute
Focus Punch
Stone Edge
Seed Bomb

Skarmory
Jolly Sturdy
Shed Shell / Custap Berry
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Spikes
Roost
Taunt
Brave Bird

Jolteon
Timid Volt Absorb
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Thunderbolt
Volt Switch
Signal Beam
Hidden Power Ice

Any help is greatly appreciated :D

I'll assume Gen V.

Arcanine has the stats and move pool to be OU, but its pure Fire typing holds it back, due to a Stealth Rock weakness. Use Infernape, as it has a Stealth Rock neutrality, better Speed and good mixed attacking stats:
-Flare Blitz
-Close Combat
-U-turn
-Mach Punch/ThunderPunch
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Item: Choice Band

or
-Fire Blast/Overheat
-Close Combat
-ThunderPunch
-Hidden Power (Ice)/U-turn/Mach Punch
Nature: Hasty/Naive
EVs: 180 Atk/76 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Life Orb/Expert Belt

or
-Fake Out
-Stealth Rock
-Overheat
-Close Combat
Nature: Hasty/Naive
EVs: 252 Atk/4 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Focus Sash

or
-Fire Blast/Flare Blitz
-Close Combat
-U-turn
-Hidden Power (Ice)/Stone Edge
Nature: Hasty/Naive
EVs: 36 Atk/220 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Choice Scarf

Ferrothorn or Forretress are better hazard setters than Drapion in OU because of their better bulk and typing:
-Stealth Rock/Spikes
-Leech Seed/Stealth Rock
-Power Whip/Protect
-Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/48 Def/208 SDef
Item: Leftovers

Forretress:
-Stealth Rock/Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Gyro Ball/Hidden Power (Ice)
-Volt Switch
Nature: Relaxed/Bold
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy

Protect is important for Wish Vaporeon because it ensures that it gets the Wish recovery itself. Replace Ice Beam or Roar with Protect.

SubPunch Breloom should look like this, because Spore makes it easier for Breloom to get a Substitute up:
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Seed Bomb/Facade/Stone Edge
-Spore
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 12 HP/252 Atk/244 Spe
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal

Use Choice Specs or Life Orb for Jolteon.

Thanks! Sorry forgot to put the gen but Gen VI.

Thanks for the input, I'll see if the changes to movesets work and maybe switch Drapion out for Forretress, but...I may keep Arcanine in since I just like him a lot more than Infernape. >-> Haha.

You may also wanna consider using Toxic instead of Ice Beam (I wouldn't use Roar) on Vaporeon, so it can get past bulky Water types. But Ice Beam is still a viable option as well.

Hmmm I'd really like to keep Ice Beam in, as otherwise my team doesn't really have anything to counter dragons with except for Jolteon's HP Ice. And since I was going to have Drapion with Toxic Spikes I didn't know if doubling up with Vaporeon knowing toxic would be a wasted move slot?

If I did:

Protect
Ice Beam
Wish
Scald

that'd be good?

Yeah, that's fine. I did say either Toxic or Ice Beam is fine. I'm just so used to bringing stuff to kill dragons with that I forgot that that's not the case with everyone. So Ice Beam would be better for you.
