anthromorphs plus pokemon?

So I had an idea. I am not talking about pokemon turning to human like creatures but rather anthromorphs of various species being as sentient as human beings and even trainers like others.

Ironically this thought came from a anthromorphed fakemon, but it was just so well done that I didn't even distinguish it as a pokemon. Gardevoir (spelt it correctly on my first try) is a very human like creature and from what I heard people love it because it looks so human.

So I must ask all of you what would you think of the above mentioned? Would it be relevant to your interests to see trainers that are not human like the one above?

No. Delphox/Delfox (Forgot exact name) Looks extremely bad, Lucario is the only amphro-morph that is nice and noticeable, other then that, no. Pokemon are monsters, not human hybrids.
If you had read my post you would have known I wasn't talking about hybrid human pokemon. I was talking about something along the lines of hybrid animals that are NOT pokemon to be implemented.

To Battle a Gardevoir would be unsettling and cheap. Its psychic, correct? so it would easily know who i chose/send out, and know what moves i would choose.
Not much different to you knowing what Pokemon your opponent is going to send out next, to be honest. =p

I am not sure about it, tbh. After all, it doesn't fit in any of the canon unless you look as Mewtwo in the movies, I suppose, and that's the sole example I know of (and certainly not a game-specific example either - so if Game Freak haven't introduced that 6 gens in it'd really seem odd for it to suddenly be a thing. Sure, you could say the same about Fairy type, but... I just don't think it'd happen, nor does it appeal to me.

yes, except mewtwo was a pokemon. These other species would look like the one I posted in my first post and they'd be pokemon trainers. They wouldn't be hybrid pokemon anthromorphs they would be anthromorphs in the sense that khajiit are khajiit, keidran are keidran and filthy argonian scum are filthy argonian scum. (I hate how argonians look in skyrim. I much more prefer how morrowind did things.)

Nah, I'm not a huge fan of anthro stuff. Too close to furries for me.
Strange, I thought this would have been a smashing idea for people into pokemon. I mean if you can love something that's not human and is closer to an animal (with advanced emotions) why can you not love something that closer resembles a human? And even acts like a human?

I don't really understand what point you are trying to make, sorry. Are you suggesting that in future games or iterations of the pokémon world, they should implement trainers who are anthromorphs of animals instead of humans? I don't see that happening. Since the pokémon world is based on our world where humans are the only beings of high enough intelligence and social behavior to go around and build cities and train animals (pokémon, in the pokémon world) it would be weird to suddenly throw in other species.

It could be different if a game (or manga or movie idk) was made to be a crossover between pokémon and another franchise where not everyone is human. Then it would make sense I guess. But as it is now, it is an alien idea to me.

No not in future games, I mean for something of a ROM hack with an entirely new setting and scenario for pokemon. I suppose you could say alternative universe , even though my original idea was to place it in a setting decades/centuries before ash comes along.

I guess seeing antropomorphic trainers could be an interesting idea, but I just don't see them having a place in the Pokemon world as it is. Other than the whole Pokemon thing, our world and their's doesn't seem all that different, so adding human-like animals to train other highly evolved animals seems a little strange.

In a ROM hack, I guess it could work in an alternate universe, but again the concept seems a little strange to me.

Huh, the concept seems less stranger to me. It is interesting to see what others make of my idea though. Even if they're mostly against it :(

This is how I feel about it. Though, I don't care too much if that's what some people like. It's just not MY thing.
Well this is why I made the poll option, before now I thought the majority of the fans would have been into this kind of thing. Clearly I was mistaken by my assumption.
