I feel like I'm jumping from thing to thing. Sometimes I piss people off in one section, then talking about music and the band, even wrote the first 2 chapters of a terrible fic at one point, and then THIS HAPPENS.
What is life.
Like, seriously, what is life.
Anyways, this is a fakedex I've been working on for god knows how long, by the combination of collecting remnants of Fakémon I created from as early as 2007 until recently and combining them with new ideas and influences. The region is called the Celse region, divided into three main areas - the Celse Mainland to the north, the Arute Province in the south-eastern corner, and am archipelago to the south-west called the Kalma Islands. The idea is based off a hack I was working on, and hell, if I feel like it, I might pick it up again. However, my spriting is not nearly good enough for the ideas I have at the moment; consider it a work in progress for now. ;) (This also eans that the abilities applied to these fakemon will be gen 3 only...)
there was supposed to be a region map but professionality sucks right? :D
Anyways, I'll compile a list of the Fakémon here that I've created thus far, and provide links to the posts which have them in more detail. Because I'm organised and it's easier for me and you.
So yeah. My dex. Of misfits. Drawn in a deliberately juvenile style. Let's go. :P
Taking up spots 001-003 in my Fakedex are, in my opinion, the least favourite of the Fakémon I've actually designed for this project. Maybe it's just the art style and the difficulty I've had in creating Pokédex entries for them, but I'm just not a massive fan of them. That's fine, though; I kinda just wanna know what you guys think about the design itself. It's a fairly old concept. They're based on swamp crocodiles, except with more floral motifs and patterns of them; the final evolved form also gains a Flying-type (HELP, FLYING CROCODILE ****ING HELP) due to its ability to glide over short distances. So yeah, I'll stfu, here you go:
001 - REPLANT
It loves damp places. It hides under foliage waiting for prey to pass by before striking.
Ability: Overgrow
Base stats:
HP - 50
Attack - 70
Defense - 60
Sp. Atk - 45
Sp. Def - 45
Speed - 40
002 - CROCKLANT When Crocklant spots prey, it stops at nothing until it is devoured. It can tear up even the toughest of flesh with its razor-sharp leaved claws.
Ability: Overgrow
Base stats:
HP - 70
Attack - 85
Defense - 75
Sp. Atk - 55
Sp. Def - 60
Speed - 60
003 - CROCGLIDE
Crocglide's name in ancient languages translates to "Death From Above". It can glide over short distances using the small wings under its front limbs, supported by a propeller-like peaf on its tail. Its preferred method of hunting is to pounce onto prey from above after gliding.
Ability: Overgrow, Guts
Base stats:
HP - 90
Attack - 120
Defense - 110
Sp. Atk - 70
Sp. Def- 65
Speed - 80
FIRE STARTERS - SINGET, SINGTORCH AND SINGIZZARD
Spoiler:
Now here's an interesting one. These Pokémon were supposed to be much later in the Pokédex and not starters, but I thought that the original option I had for the starters was just too damn cool to have as a starter, i.e. no one would choose the other two starters. Once again, not the biggest fan, however. The original inspiration I had for these Pokémon was pyromancers and magicians who used fire and all of that.
004 - SINGET
Many urban legends have come forth due to the mystery of what Singet's face is when not engulfed by flames. It is thought that the flames are what keep this Pokémon alive.
Ability: Blaze
Base stats:
HP - 55
Attack - 45
Defense - 50
Sp. Atk - 70
Sp. Def - 50
Speed - 40
005 - SINGTORCH Singtorch are instinctually very protective of the namesake torch they hold. It is thought that this torch helps them focus and hone their psychic powers.
Ability: Blaze
Base stats:
HP - 75
Attack - 60
Defense - 70
Sp. Atk - 85
Sp. Def - 70
Speed - 45
006 - SINGIZZARD
When seen in the wild, Singizzard are shown to train groups of Singtorch in developing psychic powers. However, its psychic power relies on the staff it holds - without it, its psychic skills are useless.
Ability: Blaze, Flash Fire
Base stats:
HP - 110
Attack - 70
Defense - 70
Sp. Atk - 125
Sp. Def - 100
Speed - 60
WATER STARTERS - BOASEA, BOACIFIC AND BOATLANTIS
Spoiler:
Kind of looking at it now, out of all the Fakémon I've designed the starters have been the ones I've liked the least. However, I'd say that these three sea snakes are probably my favourite designs out of the starters, even though they're far from perfect. After the first evolution, Boacific and Boatlantis also gain a Poison subtype (well, they are snakes tbh...with fins...what)
007 - BOASEA Boasea spend most of their time in coral reefs feeding on small fish or polyps. When threatened, it releases a hormone into the water through the glands at the back of its head to ward off the predator.
Ability: Torrent
Base stats:
HP - 40
Attack - 65
Defense - 35
Sp. Atk - 60
Sp. Def - 40
Speed - 70
008 - BOACIFIC The two horns that developed from the glands on the pre-evolution secrete poison into its prey. It hides in the safety of coral reefs before propelling itself towards prey, horns forward, at bliinding speed.
Ability: Torrent
HP - 50
Attack - 85
Defense - 40
Sp. Atk - 75
Sp. Def - 60
Speed - 95
009 - BOATLANTIS
It swims through the ocean at speeds of up to 40 knots. It has no natural predators; its body is so full of toxins that any predator would be unable to digest it. It uses these toxins to capture prey by jabbing the spines along its body into the prey with immense force.
Ability: Torrent, Poison Point
Base stats:
HP - 70
Attack - 105
Defense - 65
Sp. Atk - 100
Sp. Def - 70
Speed - 120
I have over 100 designs down already. It's 2 in the morning so I can't actually add any more of the designs I actually like but I promise I will in the future. ;)

Thanks for the feedback :) Like I said, I really didn't like how most of the starters turned out (besides Boatlantis, I love that thing), but at the same time I made the other idea I had for the fire starter into a normal Pokémon just because it's so damn cool IMO :P (and considering how these mons may be put into a FireRed hack at some point if I learn to sprite or find someone that can, giving everyone the oppoortunity to get it would be awesome)
Anyways, I might as well go onward to the next wad of Fakémon I feel like showing; namely, the birds, the rodent and the bugs:
THE BIRDS - FINCHAFF, FINCHWIFT AND FINCHASE
Spoiler:
So numbers 010-012 of my Fakédex consist on three designs that I actually really like. The birds were some of the first designs I actually tried for the Fakédex, and I ended up coming up with a design that I really enjoyed. Granted, they are pretty simple, but they're supposed to be - they're the common birds, they're everywhere - even though I also wanted to make them usable and attractive as a choice of Pokémon for a prospective player's team. So yeah, here's Finchaff, Finchwift and Finchase.
010 - FINCHAFF Living in groups with Finchwift and other Finchaff, it forages for food in tall grass. Its small size makes it easy prey for predators; however, most are put off by its ability to stand up to foes many times its size.
Ability: Keen Eye, Inner Focus
Base Stats:
HP - 40
Attack - 50
Defense - 40
Sp. Atk - 35
Sp. Def - 40
Speed - 55
011 - FINCHWIFT Most Finchwift live in groups of up to 50, not including young Finchaff. To attract mates, they put on "air shows" by flying elaborately and speedily. However, it is rare for humans to catch the sight.
Ability: Keen Eye, Inner Focus
Base Stats:
HP - 60
Attack - 70
Defense - 55
Sp. Atk - 50
Sp. Def - 55
Speed - 78
012 - FINCHASE Each Finchase leads a group of Finchaff and Finchwift in the wild. The group is rarely attacked due to the sheer power Finchase utilises when the flock is threatened.
Ability: Keen Eye, Inner Focus
Base Stats:
HP - 85
Attack - 105
Defense - 75
Sp. Atk - 65
Sp. Def - 70
Speed - 125
THE COMMON RODENTS - SPECTALE AND GRAPWATCH
Spoiler:
And now for the other common Fakémon you find absolutely everywhere. Once again, even though these are the annoying as **** rodents that everyone hates of my Fakédex, I do still kinda wanna make them usable. They're a bit similar to Patrat and Watchog, however; that's because they're a very old design but I'm still kind of a fan of it. So sue me, Mr. I'm-so-cool-I'm-the-5th-gen.
013 - SPECTALE When approached by another Pokémon or human, Spectale stands still, watching the other creature's every move. Some claim that its eyes are almost hypnotic when it displays this behaviour; others reported feeling uncomfortable.
Ability: Run Away, Keen Eye
Base stats:
HP - 45
Attack - 40
Defense - 45
Sp. Atk - 45
Sp. Def - 55
Speed - 60
014 - GRAPWATCH There have been many reported cases of psychosis after being watched by a Grapwatch for a long period of time. Although the eyes themselves are hidden behind makeshift organic glasses, research has shown that Grapwatch establishes a telepathic connection between it and the person it is observing.
Ability: Compoundeyes, Keen Eye
Base Stats:
HP - 70
Attack - 95
Defense - 55
Sp. Atk - 90
Sp. Def - 65
Speed - 100
THE SPLIT-EVOLUTION BUGS - BEETHELM, ACQHELM AND TERRHELM
Spoiler:
I'm not a personal fan of these bugs, to be honest. Acqhelm and Terrhelm were the two original designs and went with, and Beethelm is the shared pre-evolution that I'm honestly not a fan of at all. The evolution method was meant to be random, like Wurmple's, but I decided that that's basically too boring. I've now gone with the idea of evolving to Acqhelm if Attack is greater than or equal to defense, and Terrhelm if Defense is higher than attack.
015 - BEETHELM When threatened, Beethelm's only defense is its shell, which is strong enough to even survive the weight of three people at once.
Ability: Shell Armor
Base stats:
HP - 50
Attack - 30
Defense - 50
Sp. Atk - 30
Sp. Def - 50
Speed - 10
016 - ACQHELM
In evolution, the Pokémon's shell becomes lighter and less dense to adapt to swimming in environments suitable to Acqhelm. It lives primarily in lakes and rivers.
Ability: Shell Armor
Base stats:
HP - 65
Attack - 80
Defense - 90
Sp. Atk - 80
Sp. Def - 90
Speed - 40
017 - TERRHELM Terrhelm lives almost exclusively in its shell, only ever moving if conditions are too unsuitable. It waits in its shell until prey passes by before lashing out with its pincers.
Ability: Shell Armor
Base stats:
HP - 65
Attack - 60
Defense - 115
Sp. Atk - 60
Sp. Def - 105
Speed - 40
THE EARLY-EVOLUTION BUGS - LARVETT, SPARCOON AND AMPIFLY
Spoiler:
I'm not sure whether it's way too early for this Pokémon to evolve, considering besides the starters most of the Fakémon I've designed evolve at later levels, but meh. I actually really like this design here, even if the idea of a larva-cocoon-fly is quite cliché. But hey, they're electric. So shh.
018 - LARVETT Only a small percentage of Larvett survive to their cocoon stage. However, since eggs are laid in groups of up to a million, the population is always ensured to survive.
Ability: Shield Dust
Base stats:
HP - 40
Attack - 45
Defense - 30
Sp. Atk - 30
Sp. Def - 30
Speed - 40
019 - SPARCOON An insight into the bodily functions of Sparcoon shows a gradual buildup of electrical energy inside the cocoon. Opening the cocoon has more than once resulted in grave electric shocks for those foolish enough to try.
Ability: Shed Skin
Base stats:
HP - 45
Attack - 25
Defense - 50
Sp. Atk - 25
Sp. Def - 50
Speed - 40
020 - AMPIFLY The electrical energy built up during the cocoon stage is released upon evolution into Ampifly. It is thought that electricity is an essential bodily function of this Pokémon. When angered, it releases sporadic discharges.
Ability: Static
Base stats:
HP - 60
Attack - 70
Defense - 45
Sp. Atk - 100
Sp. Def - 55
Speed - 80
I'll try and update this daily but I might miss out a few - probably will tomorrow - but I'll try and compensate.
Anyways, I've finally broken the boring early Pokémon phase, so I can actually get on to the good stuff. I'll add a couple more lines now. :P
THE, UM...OTHER BIRDS - CHIMERRY AND KINGJOLI
Spoiler:
There isn't much else to say besides that these two are two fairly old concepts. In fairness, they are sorta pointless gameplay-wise and I'm not the biggest fan of Kingjoli's design, but I feel like Chimerry kinda makes up for it. Also, they do the Azurill-Marill thing and change type in evolution. I geuss that's cool.
021 - CHIMERRY The presence of this Pokémon has been described as a mood uplifter. However, studies show that opponents find its constant chirping unnerving in battle.
Ability: Serene Grace, Hustle
Base stats:
HP - 50
Attack - 40
Defense - 45
Sp. Atk - 30
Sp. Def - 45
Speed - 45
022 - KINGJOLI Kingjoli is often seen diving for prey off the coast of Celse. Despite its relatively slow speed in flight, it makes up for it by being an adept swimmer.
Ability: Serene Grace, Hustle
Base stats:
HP - 90
Attack - 65
Defense - 90
Sp. Atk - 70
Sp. Def - 115
Speed - 70
NOT QUITE SO TALL, DARK AND HANDSOME - PAWATCH, SHARPYENA AND SLASHADE
Spoiler:
Ah, hereeeee we go. Now we've onto the meat and potatoes of this Fakédex instead of this early common Pokémon ********. Much nicer. Anyways, yeah, 023-025 is a 3 stage dark type. Also I designed these lot fairly early in development. Pretty cool, right? And yes, I couldn't think of a good name for Sharpyena. Suggestions would be much appreciated. :P
023 - PAWATCH
Pawatch will bravely stand up to any foe it faces. If the opponent is too powerful, it will hypnotise it by staring at it with large eyes designed for seeing in the dark.
Ability: Intimidate, Insomnia
Base stats:
HP - 35
Attack - 60
Defense - 35
Sp. Atk - 30
Sp. Def - 30
Speed - 40
024 - SHARPYENA
Sharpyena are fully nocturnal, only emerging from the forest at night to hunt. However, it is thought that this Pokémon never sleeps. It hunts in packs, often mugging unsuspecting Trainers that pass by for food.
Ability: Intimidate, Insomnia
Base stats:
HP - 60
Attack - 84
Defense - 45
Sp. Atk - 60
Sp. Def - 55
Speed - 65
025 - SLASHADE
A vicious Pokémon, packs of Slashade are known to terrorize campers that set up in the wrong areas of the forest. However, Slashade are also known to have intense loyalty to their Trainers.
Ability: Intimidate, Insomnia
Base stats:
HP - 80
Attack - 130
Defense - 70
Sp. Atk - 80
Sp. Def - 75
Speed - 92
MY RAWST BERRY EVOLVED WTF - PRUTAS, DOSPROUT AND PETALORDE
Spoiler:
So these are basically the common grass-type Pokémon that you find on early routes. I always had the idea of having a Pokémon based off a fruit, but basing it off a real-life fruit such as an apple (no offense Cherubi) is quite tacky if you ask me. So I went for a Berry design. I have no idea how it turned out though, so feedback pl0x ;)
026 - PRUTAS
Prutas' fruit body is so sweet that it is often eaten by other Pokémon - however, since the seeds are too large to swallow, other Pokémon usually leave the seeds on the ground. The Prutas then grow the fruit skin back; this comes at no harm to the Pokémon.
Ability: Chlorophyll
HP - 40
Attack - 30
Defense - 50
Sp. Atk - 50
Sp. Def - 30
Speed - 30
027 - DOSPROUT
Upon evolution, Dosprout feeds on the fruit skin grown by Prutas in its previous form. It is a docile Pokémon, preferring not to attack opponents. If it must, it uses its roots to ingrain itself into the opponent and sap health.
Ability: Chlorophyll
HP - 65
Attack - 40
Defense - 60
Sp. Atk - 85
Sp. Def - 80
Speed - 50
028 - PETALORDE
It uses the sun directly for energy. The sight of Petalorde facing towards the sun was used by Celse's original settlers and explorers as a compass.
Ability: Chlorophyll
HP - 70
Attack - 45
Defense - 65
Sp. Atk - 120
Sp. Def - 105
Speed - 80
I like some of the ideas you've got here. I think an electric bug would be kinda cool. ^^
If I may make a suggestion: instead of sharpyena, how about something like canife (canine+knife), or hyenight(hyena+night), or some swap among those. (correct me if I spelled those wrong, I'm not always the best speller :D)
Wow thats quite a project. I can tell you are really pouring your soul into this. One suggestion though I feel like your fire starters third evolution should be the second and the third one should be a little bigger and tough looking. I feel like the second one is a little awkward. But now that I think about it being a teenager is akward and the second evolution captures that in between time perfectly. I just feel like the fire pokemon should always be tough and cool, and not even have an awkward phase.
Wow, this is impressive to say the least. I agree with the above sentiments, this definitely appears to be a labor of love. I have a question though, sorry if it was mentioned and I missed it.
When you began this fakedex in 2007, was that just conceptual? Or are these drawings actually from 2007?
And second, are you planning on adding Fairy types to the dex?

Hyenight actually sounds like a pretty cool name :P I'll consider it - it's quite final evolution sounding though ;) Cheers anyways (:

Thanks :P I often get told I'm pouring a lot of effort into something (unless it's schoolwork - then I cba xD) Yeah I kind of got that sort of feeling with the Fire starter as well, it's a design I'm actually not the biggest fan of. It was originally a different concept and that line was later on in the Dex, but I think that switching those two ideas round was probably the best thing to do. Then again..... :P

Thank youu :) Erm it's a long story; basically a lot of the ideas are compilations of ideas that I had and I'd been drawing them up since about...October, I think. I just didn't like how I'd designed so many Fakémon on MS Paint and stuff (because I was a kid and all that) and I never made anything of it. So I decided to do it now. :P
And on the subject of Fairy types, give me a break I only just got my head out of my arse about how the Fairy type ruined Pokémon!
....Okay that's not entirely true. :P I just really thought the concept of the Fairy type was really off at the time when I started drawing all of these Fakémon, so there won't be any primarily Fairy types around - although I think a couple combos could be tweaked a bit to add it. :) It's still my least favourite type, but I have no problems with it now - I'm also conceptualising a hack based on this once I teach myself how to sprite sometime next summer after my exams, and since I don't think the Fairy type can be added into a 3rd gen hack without a bunch of tweaking I doubt it'll make many appearances. Sorry :P
wow that was a long wall of text
okay so
SOUNDS LIKE SOME MORE MONS - DESCLETT, ALTWIN AND BASSAVAGE
Spoiler:
Yes, I know, that was a terrible pun. ****ing sue me. Anyways, this is a pretty new design; the inspiration for these lot actually came from the Ralts line and getting a Psychic type Pokémon early in the game. Except...I made them into music notes. And they're also sort of counterparts to the Pawatch line, considering their top base stats is the same in a different attack stat. :P
029 - DESCLETT
Desclett's tail is actually made up of many pipes, similar to an organ's. They are able to sense their trainer's emotions - for example, when the trainer is happy, Desclett can play uplifting music with its tail to reflect this.
Ability: Cacophony
Base stats:
HP - 40
Attack - 20
Defense - 25
Sp. Atk - 45
Sp. Def - 35
Speed - 30
030 - ALTWIN
Altwin primarily attacks using sound waves that create a loud, dissonant harmony - usually a tri-tone - using its two bonded fails. However, in the past many have been trained to play harmonious pieces of music in groups of up to 20 - it is thought that it is a method of social bonding for the Pokémon as well.
Ability: Cacophony
Base stats:
HP - 65
Attack - 30
Defense - 35
Sp. Atk - 69
Sp. Def - 61
Speed - 40
031 - BASSAVAGE
Bassavage has an aggressive personality - there are many stories about people going deaf due to this Pokémon's attacks. However, a trained Bassavage is able to emulate the sounds of multiple instruments at once using the two conjoined tails on the main body and the tail of the satellite quaver. It is thought that many well-regarded composers used this Pokémon as inspiration.
Ability: Cacophony
Base stats:
HP - 85
Attack - 75
Defense - 55
Sp. Atk - 130
Sp. Def - 80
Speed - 95
Unfortunately, it's like 11 in the evening and I'm tired so I can't post any more. But more will be up soon :P
