Part 9:
Spoiler:

Kirlia evolved in the Factory. Rufflet died to a High Jump Kick from a Scraggy, even if Rufflet had the Eviolite...R.I.P Rufflet...after I defeated Team Flare I withdrew Honedge to replace Rufflet

Route 15 - Lv29, Lv31, Lv 32, Lv 37, Lv 49, Lv 53 - Rule 25: Only use 1 move for each Pokemon. I will choose the attack when I battle. Caught another Skorupi, which Hone Claw+Poison Fang critted my Goomy...R.I.P Goomy and traded that Skorupi for a Litleo. I also put Volbeat back to my team. The rule combined with that I don't have many items left and I'm not allowed to buy any is really difficult for this route, but I still have Flareon with Flare Blitz :D I've notived, that this challenge gets more difficult, the more Pokemon I have...Lost Gardevoir to a Seadra Brine, totally forgot it had that move...but Granbull back to the team and Scraggy evolved. I lost 4 Pokemon from the Factory to this route...Honedge evolved :D

Lost Hotel - Lv37; Lv35; Lv38; Lv41; Lv52; Lv54 - Rule 44: I can catch as many Pokemon as I want, but I have to use all Pokeballs and I can't weaken them; let's see how this goes after so many losses (I also have to use the Master Ball; and I can't catch any other Pokemon in the other areas; because I can't buy anything...); I caught 4 Pawniard and 3 Magneton; 1 Klefki and 1 Electrode traded them for a Froakie, a Totodile, a Riolu and many more (I think these Pokemon are the replace for my fallen ones...)

Route 16 - Lv40; Lv39; Lv40; Lv43; Lv53; Lv56 - Rule 13: In the next gym I can choose my party from any Pokemon that I own (except fallen Pokemon), but only for the gym and the gym leader. Can't catch any Pokemon here, because I don't have any more Pokeballs and I'm not allowed to buy any...Also Doublade lost against a Sligoo Muddy Water Crit in the Rain...put Furfrou in the team (Level 9)

Saved.

Game: StormSilver (SoulSilver hack)
Optional Rules:
Spoiler:
- All Pokémon will have nicknames
- Duplicate clause
- Shiny clause
- Gift Pokémon can be used
- Legendary Pokémon (including roaming legendaries) can be caught but not used
- Battle style on SET
- Black out = game over
- And of course, make a written log of my journey!

UPDATE #1: HERE WE GO!
Spoiler:
So, Pokémon StormSilver. I've played a bit of this hack before, but didn't get very far, so it'll be interesting to play through. In a twist on my usual play style of the Johto games, I chose to play as a girl, called Melanie for some reason. I went through the usual SoulSilver beginning stuff, obtained the Running Shoes, Bicycle and GB Sounds (ah, sweet, sweet nostalgia) from my mom, and things were underway.

I decided to use the last digit of my ID number to decide my starter - 1 to 3 would get me Chikorita, 4 to 6 Cyndaquil, 7 to 9 Totodile, and 0 whoever I wanted. Turned out that my ID number ends in a 3, so Chikorita it was - a brave male with Natural Cure. Awesome! After a bit of deliberation, I decided to name him Tristan. With that done and my Pokégear picked up, it was time to head out along Route 29.

The journey to Cherrygrove City gave Tristan a chance to train, and despite a dodgy encounter with a Bidoof, he had hit level 7 and learned Razor Leaf by the time we had reached our destination. Upon arrival, we were immediately accosted by the Guide Gent, of course, who gave me an Old Rod and the Map Card for the trouble. Nice! After Tristan had finished splashing around in the water (which he seemed to really enjoy -aww!), we healed up and moved on to Route 30, where I picked up the Apricorn Box. Since it was gone 9 pm, we found ourselves running into the more nocturnal wild Pokémon along the way. The Hoothoot were nothing Tristan couldn't handle, but we had to run away from two Spinarak in a row for fear of being hit with a super-effective Poison Sting. As if that wasn't enough, we then had a worryingly close encounter with a Bug Bite-wielding Kricketot. Poor Tristan was on only 6 HP, but by that time we had reached Mr Pokémon's house. And who should be standing outside but Cynthia!

Cynthia told us a story, the tale of a Trainer who travelled through Johto and Kanto, caught all Pokémon known to exist, even came face to face with the one who Pokémon call god. Foreshadowing! Before she left, she gave me a gift of a level 5 Eevee: a serious male with Run Away, whom I decided to call Justin. I would have preferred him to have Adaptability over Run Away, but okay.

We get the Mystery Egg and the Pokédex, and leave Mr Pokémon's house... but oh no! Something's happened back at Professor Elm's lab! I sense an invasion of the plot!

We managed to get back to Cherrygrove without incident, discovering along the way that Justin really likes the water too, before running into a certain red-haired someone. Justin and Tristan made short work of his Cyndaquil, reaching level 6 and 8 respectively. You're going to be the greatest Trainer ever, pal? Not if you're being beaten by an Eevee and a Chikorita, you're not.

With that done, it was time to make our way back to New Bark Town, Justin levelling up again en route. Back at the lab, I gave my rival's name as Marco - it'd make sense for Giovanni's son to have an Italian name too, right? - and handed over the Mystery Egg before sorting out money-saving with my mom. That done, it was time to leave again, and this time, with Ethan handing over a whopping fifteen Poké Balls, my challenge was officially underway.

I was hoping for my first catchable encounter on Route 29 to be a Poochyena, but alas not. It was in fact... a level 4 female Bidoof. Thanks, game. I caught her with one ball, and named her Bella, probably the most ironic name possible - seriously, just look at Bidoof. I hate you, random number gods.

I healed up in Cherrygrove City again, and that was where I shut off for the night. Three team members and no deaths so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a male Ralts on Route 30.

UPDATE #2: ENTER GARRETT!
Spoiler:
With a little time to play before getting on with some work, I decided to use the Old Rod in Cherrygrove City and get a new team member. To my surprise, I found a level 5 Corphish, whom I caught and named Garrett. He turned out to have Adaptability, which is awesome.

Next I headed out to Route 30, hoping for a Ralts to pop up. Surprise surprise, it didn't; instead I found a male Weedle. Oh well, I caught him and named him Sting. Concerned about letting a Bug-type face Falkner in Violet City, and hoping to find a Natu on Route 31, I put him in the PC for the time being.

We trained for a bit on Route 30, letting Bella and Garrett have a few battles with wild Pokémon. We had a dodgy encounter with a Caterpie (seriously, what is up with all of these Pokémon having Bug Bite?), but managed to avoid any disasters. During this time I gained a new respect for Bella, her Unaware ability allowing her to ignore Metapod's repeated use of Harden, and by the time I decided to challenge Youngster Joey, both she and Garrett had reached level 7. Joey's top-percentage Rattata lasted all of four turns against Garrett and Tristan.

I healed the team up at Cherrygrove, and saved for the time being. More to come later today.

You may not use legendary Pokémon. (I will, however, be catching them.)
No duplicate captures.

Update 1:

Spoiler:
Our journey began in Pallet Town. I headed off out the tall grass, with Professor Oak chasing after me, telling me about the dangers of the world. Because of this, he gave me a Pokémon. I chose a Squirtle, who I named Venus. My rival, Green, chose a Bulbasaur. We battled, and thanks to a lucky critical hit from me, he went down within a couple of turns. With Venus by my side, we headed off to Viridian City. Encountering Pokémon on Route 1 meant that I couldn't catch any Pokémon that lived there later on. Eventually, I arrived in Viridian City, and picked up a delivery for Professor Oak. Upon returning to Pallet Town, Professor Oak gave Green and I a Pokedex each. Now, I could truly begin my journey.

I headed back to Viridian City, stocked up on Potions and Pokeballs, and started training on Route 22. While there, I caught a Ratatta. I named her Rala. I trained Venus and Rala for a while, and bumped into Green. Venus took out his Pidgey with ease, and his Bulbasaur was no match for Rala's Quick Attack. After defeating Green, I decided to press on to Route 2 and Viridian Forest. On Route 2, the first Pokemon I encountered was a Ratatta, but the no duplicates rule meant that I couldn't catch it. After this, I entered Viridian Forest, where I encountered a Caterpie. I captured it, and named him Bort. Now, I am training Bort on Route 2 before we press on to Pewter City.

Rala(Ratatta)

Update:

Spoiler:
So I start off my journey. Grabbed that potion on the PC. Same old Pallet Town, Oak nowhere to be found. Idk why but it gives me nostalgia cuz it's been ages since I played this game. So I talk to everyone, nothing really new. Then I went to the tall grass but then Prof.Oak stopped me and saying how dangerous it is to go on a journey without a Pokemon and blah blah same old stuff lol. Then he took me to his lab and yeah, same old cocky Ryan (Ryan = Blue/Green because, come on, he looks like a Ryan doesnt he). But let's skip all that stuff and stop right when I am going to choose my starter. So...who did I choose? Yep, the one and only Charmander! He's a classic, I tell ya. So I nicknamed him Classic. Yeah I know I am not creative. The Relaxed nature Charmander. uh I mean Classic. Relaxed nature...sigh this is bad. Then Ryan and his cocky self challenged me and lost. I mean, just keep using scratch. So I finally started my journey, the Pokemon Mart guy gave a sample and I grinded till level 10. Went and delivered the parcel to Oak and he gave me a Pokedex and 5 PokeBalls. So, the nuzlocke starts now. Went to see who my first Pokemon was going to be...it's..it's...it's..........Rattata. Okay lol. It's not bad in the beginning. So that being said, my Route 1 pokemon is Rattata. I called him Joey. I always call my Rattatas Joey. I dont need to explain why, do I? ;D Then arrived Joey's first battle. YAY. It was against a Pidgey. FRIGGIN BIRDS. ...Joey Tackled Pidgey, i think it...did 25% damage? Pidgey's tackle did idk, almost half damage. I thought Joey would endure it, leaving him with 10% hp. but no. FRIGGIN BIRDZ. Pidgey critical hit Joey and sent him to death. I HATE YOU BIRDS. Classic then easily defeated Pidgey with ember. Then when I was depositing Joey on the dead box I quickly realized he was female. Oh well. But wait. We still have the Route 22 Pokemon! SO my route 22 pokemon is...................Mankey. This was a must catch pokemon. how am I going to defeat Brock without it? I then catched Mankey, I called him Destroyer because his final stage looks like a Destroyer. Then I grinded Destroyer to level 8, and then battled Ryan. Classic easily defeated his Pidgey while Destroyer kept low kicking Squirtle. That didnt really work so I withdrew Destroyer and Charmander Scratched him till he fainted. In the end I won and Destroyer leveled up to level 9 while Classic to lv.11. It was a good ending for both me, Classic and Destroyer. Not a good ending for poor Joey who was killed by a BIRD. And i came to a conclusion: I will avenge Joey. I will complete this nuzlocke for her.

-Ember

Destroyer (Mankey) lv.9

I'm back!

UPDATE #3: BUGS AND OTHER BUGS!
Spoiler:
With my exams over and some free time on my hands, I've been able to get back to this, and my first port of call was the second Trainer along Route 30: Aroma Lady Julia. Things went pretty well, with Garrett and Justin hitting level 8, Justin learning Bite, and Tristan reaching level 9 and learning Poison Powder. There was a brief moment of panic when Bella was hit with Julia's Seedot's Bullet Seed and Quick Attack, but my Bidoof somehow hung on with only 1 HP left. Phew! Needless to say, I healed up in Cherrygrove after that battle.

On the way back up Route 30, I took the opportunity to level Bella up a bit more. I was grateful for the abundance of Metapod and Kakuna, with her Unaware ability completely nullifying Harden, and she was up to level 8 by the time we were back by the Trainers. We also ran into a Ralts along the way, much to my annoyance - I wanted one of those!

Idol Carly was the next Trainer, and pretty easy, despite an annoying Jigglypuff using Sing on Bella and a Skitty almost taking out Garrett with a critical Tackle; both of my guys managed to knock out their opponent and reach level 9. Justin fell victim to Clefairy's Cute Charm, but still managed to knock her out.

On Route 31, I debated going into Dark Cave and looking for a new Pokémon there. Curiosity won, and I did so, running into a level 8 Sandshrew. Better than a Zubat, anyway. He proved to be a bit of a pain to catch, what with his constant Sand Attack spam, but Tristan managed to poison him and I caught him. His name, I decided, would be Michael, and I quickly used my only Antidote on him to prevent him succumbing to the poison.

Another trip to Cherrygrove, to heal up and buy some Antidotes, and it was back to Route 31. I was less happy about the Metapod this time, having Justin up front, but even less happy about a Bide-using Seedot I ran from (no point taking risks) and a Weedle that poisoned my poor Eevee, prompting a use of one of my Antidotes. Lucky I bought them, really!

With no encounters on Route 31 yet, I was hoping to run into a Natu, but no: I found a level 6 female Buizel instead. Not really useful, considering that I already had Garrett, but hey; I caught her, and named her Jenna. That's a full team of six! With that, I managed to avoid Bug Catcher Wade and headed straight for Violet City.

In the Pokémon Centre, I found a guy with a Juggler sprite, who asked me if I wanted to take a quiz. I said yes, and passed, which led to the guy offering me a Pokémon: a Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. I decided to roll a die to choose: 1 or 2 would get me Bulbasaur, 3 or 4 for Charmander, and 5 or 6 for Squirtle. I was secretly hoping for Charmander, since that would cover all three basic types in my party, and, in a stroke of luck, I rolled a three! I named my new Charmander Lucian, and discovered that he has Solar Power. Lovely! There I saved, which turned out to be a very good idea later.

Healed up, I walked back to Route 31 to fight Wade, who was pretty easy, despite almost losing Tristan to a Bug Bite from Nincada. Always the Bug Bite! Fortunately, I pulled him out and Garrett finished it off with a Bubble, narrowly averting disaster for the fifth time.

Back in Violet City, I decided to explore the buildings and talk to a few people. This proved to be a mistake when I went into a particular house - specifically, the one in the south-west of the city - because after I left, the game underwent a bizarre graphical glitch that messed up all the character sprites on the screen. In an attempt to fix it, I went into the Trainer School... which caused the game to crash. Just lovely.

I reset the emulator, and was incredibly relieved to find myself standing outside the Violet City Pokémon Centre, Lucian in tow. Thank Arceus. Unfortunately, I would have to fight Wade again. Annoyed, I gave up for the day - but not before attempting to replicate the glitch, in case it was a thing that happened for that particular house. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. That's something, at least, but I'm wary of it happening again, so I'm saving regularly now.

Still can't believe I've had no deaths yet. But next up are Sprout Tower and Falkner, so that could change very quickly. This is gonna suck.

(8/26) Progress Report #3: These events took place a couple months back; however, I went on two separate hiatuses over the course of the last 3 months, coinciding with events which crushed my will to continue (Dwebble & Roggenrolla deaths). I'm back, and not giving up on Pokemon Omicron! >:)

New Deaths:
Spoiler:

Rattata (Abstinent) lv15
Died while training in a cave against a Geodude, who survived Grass Knot and retaliated with a high-roll Magnitude. :( I was very emotionally attached to him, as the pokemon who saved us from the Beedrill who killed Firstborn with his Run Away ability, teaching me the lesson that every team member is an asset. R.I.P.

Helioptile (Swindler) lv17
Opponent was a Charmeleon with Dragon Rage, capable of 2HKOing my entire team. I had to make a sacrifice for a safe switch in with this new recruit. His Mud-Slap was not able to change the course of the battle.

Dwebble (Playground) lv19
Same battle with Charmeleon. Earlier, Ivysaur dodged 4 out of 6 Rock Blasts (90%) I used. It survives on ~1%, so I try to knock it out with Fury Cutter (95%) so that his next pokemon will take more damage if it's weak to bug. Fury Cutter also misses! And every Rock Blast that did hit only rolled 2's, including against Charmeleon later (when I DESPERATELY needed just ONE 3-hit!) She meant SOOO much to me! It I hadn't risked Fury Cutter and just used Strength she would have had enough health to take Dragon Rage. I took a hiatus for over a month because of this. R.I.P.

~Hiatus 1~

Pikachu (Medusa) lv22
Critical hit from Wild Trainer Smeargle Body Slam after it had already paralyzed me the previous turn. I didn't want to risk switching in Rhyhorn because Smeargle are unpredictable and could outspeed with Hydro Pump for all I knew.

Hippopotas (Shotgun) lv22
Geodude's Magnitude 10 while using Dig. He would have been a great asset to my many rock members with Sand Stream.

Kadabra (Abstractly) lv29
Beedrill used Rage. I used Protect. My strategy is to Disable the move on the following turn if it was super-effective. Thinking it's safe, I hit it with Psybeam. It survives at 20% and kills him with Twineedle. Later it reveals Pursuit, yet I know I would have lived it because the first Twineedle hit hardly did half. A case of the CPU being too dumb to use one of its 2 SE move made my strategy backfire.

Flowers (Boldore) lv29
Same battle as Kadabra. I went AFK to cool off, and had forgotten who the next pokemon that was going to be sent out was (when prompted to switch), so I just stayed in and he sent out Heracross. Brick Break, I take 55%, and set up Iron Defense. I heal back to Sturdy, and Brick Break only does around one-third. I use my custom move Fireworks (Fire-type, 70 base power), and it lives only to kill her with Counter. Although I don't like the Roggenrolla line, this death really crushed me because she was my longest and favourite team member personality-wise. R.I.P.

Team:
Spoiler:

Team (randomized names):

Linoone (Chief) lv7-> 33:
Rash and persistent. Although he's always been a team captain behind the scenes from the PC, he has been inspired by the death of his comrades to fight. Raised him from lv7 to 27 in a several hours long training session.

Plusle (Attachment) lv16-> 32:
Lax and vain. Team cheerleader who never cracks under pressure.

Rhyhorn (Mother) lv18-> 33:
Relaxed and perseveres. Met at the Safari Zone, whose family was poached. Thinks of the many rock-types I've had as her children.

Solrock (Hymn) lv22-> 32:
Calm. New recruit. Sings ominous Gregorian chants.

Maractus (Blurb) lv24-> 32:
Brave. New recruit, caught immediately before Flowers died. Finally a much needed grass/ground/water resist.

-Made my way to Dark Cave. There, my first encounter was a Zubat, which I caught. Nicknamed Sedekaen in honor of my old, long deleted shiny Crobat.
-Caught a Bellsprout on Route 32. Nicknamed Laeowzi, pronounced Lay-oh-zee. Currently not looking forward to Falkner, 2 Grass-Types against a Flying-Typed gym.
-Trained my Pokemon on Route 32. See their fancy new levels in Section: Team at end of Update 2.
-Made my way to Sprout Tower. There, I cleared the first two levels of items and trainers.
-Encountered a third Rattata at Sprout Tower. Nicknamed Fenzi Jr. in honor of my lost Fenzi. Maybe I'll have some hope against Falkner, as Rattata is a pretty nice Pokemon with it's Attack/Speed and Bite.
-Saved and shut off my game, plan on going to Route 31, as I have not yet caught a Pokemon there.

_Deaths_
-Fenzi, a level 9, male Rattata.

~Team at end of Update 2~
-Tongiro: A level 10, male Chikorita.
-Pelgi: A level 11, male Rattata.
-Sedekaen: A level 7, male Zubat.
-Laeowzi: A level 7, male Bellsprout.
-Fenzi Jr.: A level 3, female Rattata.

Update 1 - 20/10/2014
Spoiler:
Started new game, named character Seregil.
Chose Fennekin as my starter, named him Flint.
Ran into a Fletchling on Route 2, named it Flarewing.
Found a Scatterbug in Santalune Forest, but forgot to name it, will fix soon.
Began training my current 3 to get them to level 10.

Update 2 - 21/10/2014
Spoiler:
Ran into a Burmy on Route 3, but it fainted from Struggle.
Caught a Dunsparce who killed off Flint with Rollout.
Flarewing fell to a trainer.
Dunsparce, after devastating an entire gym, fell before the first Gym Leader thanks to Poison and Infestation.
Spewpa, against all odds, defeated the Gym Leader's Vivillion.
Caught a male Combee on Route 4, and Spewpa evolved.
Received Squirtle from the Professor after devastating his entire line up with Vivillion. Named him Micum.

Update 3 - 24/10/2014
Spoiler:
Traveled to Parfum Palace, encountering a Venipede along the way on Route 6. Gave it the nickname Beran.
Caught a Doduo early that I had named Patches on Route 5.
Encountered Snorlax on Route 7, and lost Patches to it. Caught Snorlax and named him Nysander.
Played around in the Battle Chateau, becoming Viscount after beating Baroness Cassade.
Went through Connecting Cave, catching a Meditite on my way through. Named him Thero.
Arrived in Ambrette Town, and continued to the Spiked Path. Ran into a Sandile who killed Thero, so I named her Stamie.

Current Party:

Alec the Vivillion
Micum the Squirtle
Beran the Venipede
Aren the Combee
Nysander the Snorlax
Stamie the Sandile

Dead Thus Far
Spoiler:
Flint the Fennekin
Flarewing the Fletchling
Dunsparce the Dunsparce
Patches the Doduo
Thero the Meditite

Never thought I would ever use a Vivillion, but I am pleasantly surprised to see that it is still around after losing 5 others who were deemed as stronger than it.

Currently doing a Platinum Nuzlocke in preperation for Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire! n_n

Username: Hoenn
Game: Platinum
Optional Rules:
- The game will be played in "Set" Mode throughout
- There will be a level cap for my team prior to a Gym Leader.
- Healing items such as potions cannot be used in-battle.

With that in mind, here's the first update!
Spoiler:

(Apologies if this entry is kinda all over the place for this particular entry)

Chapter One

tl;dr: I started the game, and after meeting Barry for the first time I headed out onto Route 201. This is where I received my starter, Chimchar! The reason why I chose Chimchar is because I've used Piplup and Turtwig on Diamond and Platinum respectively on past runs. Anyway after having a talk with Professor Rowan and receiving my starter, it was time for our first battle with Barry! With the victory ofcourse I continued onto Sangem Town where I met Professor Rowan for a second time, he offered for me to nickname Chimchar which accidently I forgot to do! (Oops) It didn't bother me too much as I knew the Name Rater could be found in Eterna City.

After doing the basics, I was all set to start my journey and catch some Pokémon! I went back to Lake Verity to hopefully secure my first capture which happened to be a Bidoof! With an easy catch I caught Bidoof, nicknamed "Chuck" and backtracked onto Route 201. I decided to count Route 201 as a new encounter rather than counting it as being my Starter Pokémon. Luckily for me my encounter for Route 201 was a Starly, nicknamed "Starlight". With Chimchar, Bidoof and Starly I took to Sangem Town to stock up on some supplies in prepration for the trainers on the upcoming Route!

Entering onto Route 202 was obviously a new area, new encounter etc. My encounter for this area was a Kricketot, a Pokémon I've never used before which I was kind of apprehensive about given what I knew, but onwards I went and caught Kricketot nicknamed "Music". Before running into any trainers, I wanted to make sure that my team were levelled appropriately in case of any critical hits, definitely didn't want to lose any team members at such an early stage. Getting through the trainers was easier than anticipated, gained a couple of nice levels and reached Jubilife City unscratched!
Saved from that point.

Starting my Nuzlocke on Omega Ruby. Rules are the same as before, with two alterations:

I am allowed to receive ONE mystery gift Pokemon, as long as its level is less than that of my highest Pokemon, and is shiny. Any other mystery gifts received are to be placed in the PC.

Forced Encounter Pokemon do not count for my route capture, regardless of if I can them or not. This is thanks to Snorlax from Y.

Spoiler:
Started the game.
Chose Mudkip, which was female, so I named her Beka.
Beat May's Treeko with ease after leveling Mudkip to 7.
Captured Poochyena on Route 101.
Received the Shiny Beldum, expending my 1 mystery gift Pokemon.

Update 1:
Spoiler:
Captured A Wurmple on Route 102, named it Alec.
Found a Tailow on Route 104, named her Magoyana.
Captured a Slakoth in Petalburg Forest, named him Braknil.
Alec evolved twice while in Petalburg Forest, giving me a Dustox.

  • Began my adventure as Athena.
  • Chose Treecko as my starter.
  • Route 101: Caught the Tutorial Poochyena
  • Route 102: Zigzagoon (fainted)
  • Route 103: Poochy (fainted)
  • Route 104: Wurmple
  • Petalburg Woods: Shroomish
  • Evolved Wurmple into Silcoon
  • Route 116: Whismur
  • Evolved Silcoon into Beautifly
  • VS Roxanne: Easily swept her team with my Treecko
  • Dewford Town: Old Rod Magikarp
  • Route 106: nothing yet (sea)
  • Granite Cave: nothing yet (used super repel)
  • VS Brawly: Easily swept his team using Beautifly and Gust
  • Route 110: Electrike
  • Beautifly fainted against a trainer's Minun
  • Evolved Poochyena at level 18
  • Evolved Treecko at level 23
  • VS Rival Brendan: My Mighytena flinched his Combusken when using her Thunder Fang. Next turn, I paralyzed it and it couldn't attack. On the next turn, it was again too paralyzed to attack. Awesome paraflinch hax and here I was worrying about my team's weakness to fire and fighting.
  • Route 117: Marill
  • Evolved Shroomish at level 23
  • VS Wattson: My Breloom's Mach Punch easily took down Magneton. The gym matches haven't been notable so far.
  • Fiery Path: Numel
  • Electrike fainted against this wild numel
  • Route 112: Machop
  • Evolved Magikarp at level 20
  • Evolved Marill at level 18
  • Route 113: Skarmory
  • Route 114: Swablu

November 22
  • VS Archie at Mount Chimney
  • Azumarill swept using her Play Rough and Aqua Tail. No notable struggle during this match. I have to turn off the Exp Share.
  • Jagged Pass - Spoink
  • VS Flannery: Azumarill ohko and 2ohko's everything.
  • Game Time:10:52
  • Route 111: Baltoy
  • Numel fainted against a trainer's Graveler
  • Baltoy fainted against a trainer's Manectric
  • VS Norman: I used Breloom against most of the gym and the leader's battle. I used Azumarill when I didn't feel like backtracking to heal.
  • Grovyle evolved at level 36 after Norman's battle.
  • Southern Island: Latias obtained around 3PM yay! I used a Timid Synchronize and got some incredible IVs on the first attempt, so I decided to add her to the team.
  • Game Time: 13:11
  • Route 118: Tentacool
  • Mightyena fainted against a trainer's Beautifly. I did not expect it to carry Bug Buzz. Honestly, I always remembered them as being super weak and not having Silver Wind until mid 30's in RSE. Goodnight, my sweetie. :(
  • VS Winona: I used this opportunity to train Skarmory because it's bulky and resists normal and flying attacks. Also, the rest of my team were at least 7 levels over Winona. I turned off the Exp Share now.
  • Route 120: Absol - I kid you not. it was the first triggered sneak in the area. I got up quickly from my bed to focus on getting it. It's rather difficult seeing May tiptoe while in tall grass. I was almost sweating a bit not to fugg it up. However, I just used Absol in my HGSS Vault Hunter box, and despite being one of my favorites, I should use something else...
  • Route 121: Linoone
  • Game Time: 19:25

November 23
  • Mt Pyre: Duskull
  • Mossdeep City: Wailmer (super rod)
  • Route 124: Wailmer (super rod)
  • Route 126: Wailmer (super rod)
  • Route 127: Wailmer but fainted
  • Route 128: Luvdisc (super rod)
  • Route 129: Wailmer (super rod)
  • Route 130: Wailmer (super rod)
  • Route 131: Horsea (super rod)
  • Pacifidlog Town: Wailmer (super rod)
  • MY HOPELESS QUEST TO FISH A CARVANHA/SHARPEDO HAS FAILED ME.
  • I HAVE CONCLUDED SHARPEDO DOESNT EXIST IN THESE SEAS.

November 24
  • Olli pointed out that I never caught anything on Route 119... Guess what I reeled in with my super rod today. :')

Nickname Scheme
My trainer is named Athena based on the gladiator character from the Borderlands series. Athena is the Greek Goddess of intelligence, skill, peace, warfare, battle strategy, and wisdom. The theme of my team is mythological Greek gods and deities. All Pokemon nicknames are pulled from the wiki page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Greek_mythological_figures

Gaia is the goddess of earth, Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty and was born from the sea, Aether is the god of the sky, Dionysus is the god of parties, and Artemis is the goddess of the hunt and the moon, as well as being a twin sister to Apollo (which would be Latios's nickname if I had one).

However, my Treecko is named Victor.

In my original Sapphire version, my trainer name is my middle name, Nicole. It means victory of the people. This meaning is the basis of Treecko's nickname. Also, it is the basis of my Y's Chespin's nickname. Colette (the diminutive form of Nicole).

Furthermore in Y version, my trainer is named Scarlett because it is a French girl name for Red. Coincidentally, my Sapphire's first starter was a female Treecko that I named Scarlet because of touch of red Sceptile's body. Basically then, Nicole & Scarlet began in Sapphire, Scarlett & Colette began in Y, and Athena & Victor began in Alpha Sapphire. I wanted these games to connect with each other in some way.

On a whim, I've decided to do a Nuzlocke for Alpha Sapphire. I'm using the basic rules, with a duplicate and shiny exeption clause, nicknaming all my Pokemon, and playing in German (I know some, but it will still make it much more difficult). The backstory I'm making up is basically that my character, being from Johto, speaks mostly English, so is about as lost as I am. This should be fun! lol
Will update when I get my first badge! :)
