Obviously raising your pokemon one level at a time through training will bring out its best stats, but how do the alternative methods of raising pokemon rank? Which one is the worst?

Rare candying
Rare candying a traded pokemon
just catching a wild one
raising a traded one
battle switching (having weak pokemon in first, then switching to strong)
battle switching a trade

I'm sure there are more ways, but I just wanted to know if there is even a difference between them all.

Hi, Justokre!

No doubt you'll get bombarded by techie stuff from the others, but from what I can work out, using rare candies is about the worst thing you can do raising pokemon. I don't know about the other methods, but got told that using Rare candies just raises levels without raising EV's or IV's ( I'm not sure about the terms: raising pokemon with maximum stats isn't my thing).

I can confirm this: I wanted to quickly level up a Linoone I had, filled it with Rare Candies and was surprised, when it reached lvl100, to see that its' HP was well below 300. My other lvl100's were 350 or so. That was when I went to set up an experiment...

So anything raised with Rare Candies is going to be weaker than one raied without!
You've got how many ??!! :cross-eye :latias: :17: :os:
