What's your favorite Strategic RPG? Example games include Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy: Tactics and Soul Nomad.

So what's your favorite?

My favorite SRPGs are Fire Emblem and Disgaea series (and I've played Soul Nomad and Phantom Brave too).

The Super Robot Wars series is probably my favorite. Flashy animations, awesome music, surprisingly deep storyline and characters, and nothing overly complicated as far as gameplay goes. Plus, I'm a huge mech fan so it's got the things I enjoy and some more. Only gripe is that I wish Namco-Bandai would make more of an effort to localize some of the games.

Shining Force III for the Sega Saturn is also up there. It's separated into three different games (each from a different viewpoint) and really is the best game the Shining series has to offer.

FE series, Tactics Ogre, and FF Tactics are a few others that round up my favorites.

Hmmm...Luminous Arc and Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, for different reasons. Luminous Arc I loved the style, soundtrack and relatively simple gameplay; I struggled to get into this type of game and this was an easy access point for me. Disgaea 4, in my opinion, is the highest point of the series, combining the fantastic humour that had been painfully absent from the games since the first one and vastly improved gameplay.

Definitely the Fire Emblem series. <3 Including Fire Emblem Thracia 776:

Mmm, even though the game is ridiculously hard, it's really enjoyable because of that challenge! the satisfaction you get from beating those hard levels are great, and plus, most of the characters originate from Geolonogy of the Holy War, so if you've played that, then you can get really familiar with the characters with this game!

I haven't played many games of this type. Only game I've played is FE: Awakening and it's one of my favorite games for the 3DS. Beautiful graphics, besides the lack of feet. I also liked the fact that it allowed players to choose from classic mode or casual. It was a nice option :3

I'd definitely say the Fire Emblem series, it's just so great in itself. <3
'Nuff said.
I forget how emotions dance when they aren't inside of me
I forget how the sun feels when she isn't around me
And my dreams become sweeter when something is missing
I'm in love with the hunt itself
It makes me feel alive
