Hey guys, while i was building my team, i thought of doing a mono type for my next project. Snorlax is my favorite of all time, so I wanted him in, so I thought, why not a mono normal team. I have the 6 Pokemon I want in, but struggle with EV spreads, movesets, hold items, etc. Also which Abilities are best for a battle. The team I want consists of:

Snorlax
Blissey
Porygon Z
Helioisk
Braviary
Zangoose

Also willing to use a Ursaring, but he seems to be the weakest of the group.

Any help, ideas, what would be fun, just post it, thanks!

Snorlax is one of the best Assault Vest users out there:
-Return/Body Slam
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch/Crunch
-Self-Destruct/Pursuit
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP/252 SDef/4 Spe
Item: Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat

Blissey is famous for being one of the best special walls out there:
-Soft-Boiled
-Thunder Wave/Toxic
-Seismic Toss/Flamethrower
-Wish/Heal Bell
Nature: Bold/Calm
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef or 4 HP/252 Def/252 SDef
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure

Porygon-Z's middling Speed could be a problem, but it works (somehow) (BoltBeam is an acceptable alternative over Dark Pulse + HP Fighting in all sets):
-Agility
-Tri Attack
-Dark Pulse/Ice Beam
-Hidden Power (Fighting)/Thunderbolt
Nature: Modest
EVs: 96 HP/252 SAtk/160 Spe
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Download

or
-Tri Attack
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power (Fighting)
-Trick
Nature: Timid/Modest
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf
Ability: Adaptability

or
-Nasty Plot
-Tri Attack
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power (Fighting)
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability

Heliolisk is a Pokemon that works best in rain:
-Thunderbolt
-Volt Switch/U-turn
-Focus Blast/Grass Knot
-Surf/Grass Knot
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Life Orb/Choice Specs
Ability: Dry Skin

Braviary can play Choice sets or Bulk Up:
-Return
-Brave Bird
-Superpower
-U-turn/Roost
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Item: Choice Band/Choice Scarf/Life Orb
Ability: Defiant

or
-Bulk Up
-Brave Bird
-Roost
-Substitute
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP/192 SDef/64 Spe
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Defiant

Zangoose is a better abuser of status (poison only) than Ursaring, IMO, because it has the Speed to back up its power:
-Facade
-Close Combat
-Night Slash/Shadow Claw
-Quick Attack
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Toxic Boost

or
-Swords Dance
-Facade
-Close Combat
-Night Slash/Shadow Claw/Quick Attack
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Toxic Boost

Here, I'll get you started:

-Snorlax w/Assault Vest
Nature: Adamant/Careful
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP, 40 Defense, 212 Sp.Defense
Moves: Return/Body Slam, Wild Charge, Earthquake, Crunch

-Blissey w/Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 Sp.Defense, 4 HP
Moves: Softboiled/Wish, Flamethrower, Aromatherapy, Toxic

-Porygon Z w/Choice Specs or Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid/Modest
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Tri Attack, Dark Pulse, Trick, Ice Beam/Hidden Power Fighting

or

-Porygon Z w/Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Nasty Plot, Tri Attack, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam/Hidden Power Fighting

Or for pure lulz, give it Hyper Beam and a Normal Gem

-Heliolisk w/Leftovers or Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: whatever floats yer boat
EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
Moves: Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Surf, Grass Knot

I think it'd be better to use Staraptor instead of Braviary:

-Staraptor w/Choice Band or Life Orb
Nature: Jolly/Adamant
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Brave Bird, Close Combat, U-Turn,

But if you really really wanna use Braviary:
-Braviary w/Choice Band or Choice Scarf
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Ability: Sheer Force/Defiant
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
Moves: Brave Bird, Return, Superpower, U-Turn

or

-Braviary w/Leftovers
Nature: Careful
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP, 192 Sp.Defense, 60 Speed
Moves: Bulk Up, Substitute, Brave Bird, Roost

And I remember Ursaring being fairly good.

EDIT: Dammit, I got ninja'd again. Guess I type a bit too slow or something. I still say that Staraptor should be used instead of Braviary.

Snorlax likes the coverage the Assault Vest set provides, as well as the Sp.Defense boost.

looking at the moveset, I cannot get Pursuit or Self Destruct for Snorlax, so would Heavy Slam or Substitute be a viable option?
Neither Heavy Slam nor Sub are viable options on Snorlax. Self-Destruct is a move exclusive in Pokemon XD. Pursuit is an egg move.

I saw that but not going thru the annoyance of rebreeding and trying to get pursuit, plus i dont want two dark type moves on him anyway. What can I use for that 4th slot? Perhaps Wild Charge or Brick Break?

Earthquake hits harder than Brick Break so I'd opt for the former if I were you. It can also help get around most Steel and Rock-types that would resist Snorlax's STAB moves.
Gone forever for personal reasons.

Sorry, hes already got it, hence the edits lol. I meant wild charge.
Wild Charge can be used if you hate Skarmory that much.

Also, Tyranitar is one of those Pokemon who uses Crunch and Pursuit together; the same thing can be applied to Snorlax. Pursuit is used to hit opponents that would try to leave the battle, especially Ghosts and Psychics, while Crunch is used to hit the targets I mentioned that decide to stay in for some reason.
