Sometimes, I feel that I am the person you speak of, Chase. ;)

I don't mind telling my co-workers 3740293740 times on what they need to be doing for their tasks, but when it's my parents, my sister, or someone that I just....uuuugh, then yeah I do get pretty irritated at times because there are times that I just don't feel like repeating myself. xD

My dad! Ever since he got sick, he has a bad habit of telling the same stories, repeating himself, etc to everyone until he actually forgets about it months later. So I live with someone who should probably be the king of this thread right now. Damn strokes.

Sometimes I feel like I'm that kind of person as well, even though I try not to repeat my story. And usually I let them speak about it again.

My best friend and I do that all the time to each other! We tell each other the same story multiple times! We don't really care though. :)

What do you do in this situation? Do you let them tell it again or kindly tell them that you have already heard it?
I just interrupt them and complete the rest of the story myself and make them they realise that they've said it before. :P

My house mate has epilepsy which affects his memory so he often repeats his stories. It happens a lot as well with other people, I just let them tell it again and pretend it's the first time I've heard it. I know how it makes me feel when people pull me up on things like that so I don't do it to other people. Hearing things a few times doesn't worry me anyway so it's not like I'm white-knuckling it through my second or third telling.

I'm guilty of this...I honestly don't do it on purpose, but I can be forgetful at times and trying to remember which stories I've told which people becomes hard to handle @[email protected] My sister is like this also, and because of our relationship, I could simply tell her to shut her mouth, but that would be rude XD Anyone, no matter who, if they to have that tendency, I listen to them finish their story and politely remind them that they've already told me n number of times.

My mom is so guilty of it. She has to tell me and my dad something over and over and over and over like a scratched record. It's sooooo annoying. You could tell her to stop talking and go away, but she CONTINUES to talk about the same story she talked about yesterday. Ugh.

^My mom is the same. She'll repeat stories and things over and over, even if things are already over and done with. At times, I think it's just to start a fight at times. It's gotten to the point when people repeat things several times, I can get kinda snippy
