Everybody loves cliques!
Does your school have these? Are you in one?

My school is basically based off cliques, but I'm not really in one per say. I just hang with my group of friends and that's the only people who I'm interested in talking to.

A term I've come to associate with is "floater." The kids I hung around weren't really like hardcore nerds, but we weren't part of the "in" crowd either. It wasn't a bad place to be, people for the most part left us alone, didn't make fun of us or anything. We were pretty much aloof.

In high school, cliques definitely existed. The sneakerheads, the potheads, the Korean crew, and more. In college, I've yet to really see a clique. I'm just a part of a rather large group of friends.

I was part of the reject clique, which was a combination of punk rockers, skaters, and stoners who never gave a damn about the rules in school. We were the ones that started the fights, we do vandalism. We do graffiti. But wait though, I was never involved in all that. xD My friend accepted me into the group because I was going though a serious depression phase and she didn't want me to feel left out. Speaking of which, most of the clique suffered from a series of mental disorders, like my friend who had OCD.

In short, we were the clique that was despised by all of the cliques in school.

I was a band geek in high school.

I loved my old band room, it was like my home away from home. I had a free period, and that's where I went to hang out with all of the other band kids with free periods. It was fun, we all had the same interests (for the most part) and we all hung out with each other. I still remember those times in the band room as some of the best moments in school. Like the time I made a really long ball track out of the music stands. Oh the memories...

That's something I hate about school. Middle and High school all can eat a freshly baked poop pie. Something I enjoy doing today is getting to know everyone no matter what type of group or type of people they are. It's interesting as hell! I could have had more friends back then if I thought like I do today.

It's unfortunate that people don't realize how cool it is to get to know different people, and as a kid you really are just too soft and inexperienced to get it. The kewl doods pick on others, for what I have no clue. The nerds are too shy to express themselves and resort to club house antics (no girls allowed / or you must have this IQ or higher to enter). Instead of trying to alienate yourself--meeting new people and understand them and their perspective only increases your understand of reality/society/purpose/etc. You learn how others deal with problems; you learn how others share the same exact opinions of specific matters, though you would never know because you are either too shy or too "kool" to use such vocabulary.

God I wish I could go back and time and just enjoy school instead of worrying about nonsense and popularity.

To cut it short: I was part of the In-Crew, at least within the Hispanic community. I wrestled so I had the bulk and confidence to back up my Macho-man, Randy Savage attitude. Yeah, I admit. I picked on certain people--not just nerdy people but wannabe cool guys too. I had no boundaries.

It makes me sick to think I was once that guy, in all honesty.

So if you're still in school and ready this. Trust me. Go and socialize with everyone. Don't worry about them making fun of you and don't worry about being yourself--it pays off at the end. This helps with EVERYTHING! Creating a successful facade will give you nice outcomes, but you're lying to yourself and others. Live life and enjoy it while you can.

I think all schools generally have cliques, no matter how subtle or noticeable they are. In high school, I never paid a great deal of attention to the groups, but the jocks/athletes would always stink up one of the hallways because their lockers were there and they were all part of the sports academy program. Another one I noticed was the Asians, which I was part of. Because we were the minority in the school, we all knew each other as friends or acquaintances.

Cliques are everywhere in my school. The band kids and their music, the emo kids with their tight clothing, the jocks with their unnecessarily loud and aggressive behavior, the theater kids and their overly dramatic personalities.

I'm a band geek, and a proud one at that. Most of the band kids are amazing people that really stand out from the other students in the best way.

Cliques are everywhere, and I see them in my school's dining area. There's a large gathering of people I know that are into Pokémon and I'm still meeting some of them, so I guess you could say I'm a part of that clique, but not really haha, because all I just do is hang around and chat when I see them at school, instead of just hanging around them elsewhere and outside of school.

an illegible mess.

oh god my school has all sorts of cliques. i go to an art school, so we're all divided in different sections based on our arts areas. the dancers are the preppy, the acting department kids are those overly competitive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s (often sided with the dancers as they are quite alike). the band/orchestra kids are snobby and act like they own the school, and then the visual artists and creative writers are those weird kids that got outcasted all throughout middle school. its ridiculous.

im a creative writer, if you want to know. anyway, i guess i could say im in a clique? not just my arts area, but i have a huge circle of acquaintances that all know me, and im somewhat well-known around my school.

My high school had like 4 cliques, if you could call them that. Really they were just groups of people in a sort of "coolness" rank.
I didn't belong to any of them exclusively and drifted around most of the time. Friends with everyone and such.
My first High School however I was part of the "Plastics". It's the only reference that comes close to describing them and it's almost dead on.

I was too oblivious during my school days to notice any cliques. I kept to myself all day every day. I'm sure there were, though. Cliques are universal.

Back in my high school days, I could've identified the PC cliques far faster than any in my school... PC was where all my friends were. :p

Cliques were actually one of the most common things in my high school,
We would be divided into one of the tightness cliques and because of this is has definitely caused a major uprising in the school. Something about gang wars bla bla

There should be a signature here somewhere.
I wonder where it's gone.
