Got around to completing Hoenn for my Ghost run, changed the game to Alpha Sapphire because it's more accessible to me than Emerald is. (Only have one copy of Emerald whereas I have both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) And surprisingly it wasn't as bad as a playthrough as my Grass run was! I guess it was because I played my grass run in another language and played my ghost run in English.

But anyway it's done! Happy to finally make some progress with my ghost run after almost 2 years of not touching it.

Now I know I said I hoped to finish my entire ghost and water challenges before Sun and Moon come out, but of course that was completely unrealistic with how often I play these challenges. Anyway I do plan to finish Platinum with my water run before the games come out, I'm already at Victory Road so it shouldn't be a problem.

You can add Pokemon Sun to all my completed challenges too, I'll eventually get around to completing them to retain my championships. Until then I'm going to continue enjoying my main copy of Moon. (And saving up to buy a copy of Sun.)

Also as I said I was going to do, I completed Platinum for my Water run before Sun & Moon came out! Unfortunately, I didn't get to update right away as I finished it on the 17th and didn't have a chance to update since then.

Next up is Black, which I'll get around to after the Sun & Moon hype dies down, and I kind of want to work on finishing my Ghost run and updating my old championships before that. So who knows when I'll start it.

Anyway, here's my update.

Pre-emptive post to say that my first playthrough of Sun (which will happen after I beat Moon) will be a continuation of my ultimate Grass monotype. If user Necrum sees this and wants to add this to my line in the OP that would be fabulous.
Starting this. Rowlet ftw.

I finished my playthrough of Pokemon Moon with only Fighting-types, as I said I would.

Team:
Spoiler:

Crabhammer the Crabominable (M) Lv. 57
Stats (HP/Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe): 195/179/108/92/106/82
Nature: Gentle
Ability: Iron Fist
Item: Fightingium Z
Moves:
Crabhammer
Power-Up Punch
Ice Punch
Close Combat

Throughout the playthrough, Crabhammer had varying levels of usefulness. Near the start, Crabhammer was very useful due to its moveset and stats. However, once its teammates started evolving, Crabhammer became less and less useful, since I couldn't evolve it until near the end of the game. In the end, though, Crabhammer was a solid member of the team due to its Ice-type and powerful moves.

Aquamarine the Poliwrath (F) Lv. 56
Stats: 185/132/136/84/132/109
Nature: Careful
Ability: Water Absorb
Item: Fightingium Z
Moves:
Bubble Beam
Dynamic Punch
Submission
Psychic

Originally, I had planned specifically to have a Poliwrath on my team, because it would be pretty much the only Pokemon I could use that had Water-type moves at its disposal. However, throughout the entire playthrough, Aquamarine wasn't as strong as it could've been, mainly due to its nature, which gave it an abysmal Special Attack stat. Plus, its two other Fighting-type moves both had fairly low accuracies. All of this made Aquamarine very unreliable compared to the other Pokemon on the team. Maybe if I'd gone for a Poliwag with a better nature, it would've turned out better, but I didn't.

Macho the Machamp (M) Lv. 65
Stats: 212/236/133/103/126/97
Nature: Brave
Ability: No Guard
Item: Fightingium Z
Moves:
Submission
Dual Chop
Dynamic Punch
Stone Edge

If the level doesn't make it obvious, Macho was an incredibly powerful part of the team. There were plenty of factors that resulted in this, including the Attack-boosting nature, the No Guard ability which allowed for reliable use of Dynamic Punch, and the power of the Z-Moves I was able to use thanks to Dynamic Punch. Plus, Macho was pretty much the only Pokemon I could rely on to take an Acrobatics and be able to counter it with an OHKO thanks to Stone Edge. Also, since I got Macho from an in-game trade, EXP wasn't a problem with Macho. I was actually struggling to close the level gap between Macho and the rest of the team throughout the entire game, which was a task I obviously failed to accomplish.

Reptilian the Kommo-o (F) Lv. 57
Stats: 167/140/143/139/138/117
Nature: Mild
Ability: Soundproof
Item: Dragonium Z
Moves:
Dragon Dance
Sky Uppercut
Iron Defense
Clanging Scales

Reptilian was the latest addition to the team, but by no means the weakest. Besides Macho, Reptilian was probably the most powerful on the team thanks to Iron Defense and Dragon Dance allowing it to set up and max its stats before sweeping the whole enemy team. In fact, Reptilian was the only Pokemon I had to use in the Elite Four Hala fight because of its set-up capability. My only complaint about this Pokemon is that it didn't come sooner in the game.

Leafy the Pangoro (F) Lv. 57
Stats: 183/177/123/104/94/101
Nature: Lax
Ability: Iron Fist
Item: Darkinium Z
Moves:
Crunch
Sky Uppercut
Bullet Punch
Grass Knot

Leafy was a last-minute decision for the team. Though I hadn't planned to include a Pangoro on my team, I knew as soon as I got Leafy that its Dark-type would be incredibly useful, practically negating the team's weakness to Psychic altogether. However, this wasn't Leafy's only strength on the team. Thanks to Iron Fist, Bullet Punch became a viable move to keep on Leafy, allowing it to switch in and quickly take out a weakened enemy Pokemon, as well as being able to knock out a few Fairy-types all on its own. I only wish that I didn't have to have Bullet Punch, which is the only move on my team that is supereffective against Fairy Types, on Leafy, who has a double weakness to Fairy. Despite that, Leafy definitely earned its place on the team.

Now that that's done, I can continue to work on my Poison and Ice monotypes. Right now, I'm working on my Platinum Poison monotype challenge, which I'm almost done with. However, I still have a lot of grinding to do before my team is going to be E4-ready. After that, I'm probably going to reset Omega Ruby and do my Ice mono there.

Pokémon Fuligin - Poison Single Challenge

Team: Beedrill lv 10 & Ivysaur lv 16
Entered a ghost gym with only moves that are not very effective. Sleep Powder and Leech Seed were crucial in the battles. Bulbasaur/Ivysaur made the whole work almost alone, just let an asleep and seeded pokémon for Beedrill to finnish.
I couldn't win against the Leader. I'll try again later.

Ultimate Grass Monotype Challenge
Diamond, FireRed, StormSilver, Emerald, Black 2, Y, Sun (4/11)

First Gen 7 update? Yes please!
Welcome to Alola! Have a game where every Grass type is grouped onto 1 route so you get nothing of use before the first trial. I'll be listing which mons defeat the Totem Pokemon and what Z-Move I used in any important fights. Oh, and the "badge number" is counting both Trials and Grand Trials.

EDIT: I've included my second update in the below spoilers, simply because I want to space them out but I don't want to forget what happened.

Sun
Important Events:
Spoiler:
Melemele Island
- Enter: Takumi the Rowlet
- Tutorial crap
- Beat Hau with no issues (Z-Move: N/A)
- More tutorial
- Beat Hau again, this time with more potions because Pichu is evil (Z-Move: N/A)
- Actually hard battle in the trainer school
- More tutorial
- Clothes shopping (very important)
- More tutorial
- Illma goes down to a LOT of potions
- Wait, the first trial already?
- Takumi defeats Totem Gumshoos (Z-Move: N/A) Badge 1/11
- Finally reach somewhere where I can catch another Grass mon, specifically Erufuun the Cottonee
- Simultaneously (thank you capture exp), Takumi evolves into Edgy Teenager Dartrix
- Train up Erufuun
- Erufuun uses his skills (Leech Seed, +3 Fairy Wind/Mega Drain) to sweep Hau (Z-Move: Erufuun's Z-Growth)
- VS Kahuna Hala: Erufuun gets to +4 SpAtk and sweeps with Fairy Wind (MVP: Erufuun, Z-Move: Erufuun's Z-Growth). Badge 2/11
- No need to catch a Rockruff or Lv13 Saladmence this run, so no reason to stick around after beating Hala. Onward to Akala!

Akala Island
- Meet Mallow, who will later become the bane of my team's existence. Totem Lurantis can go to hell.
- More clothes shopping
- Beat up Dexio
- And at long last, I've reached the part of the game where I can DO something.
- Catch Basswood the Eevee, who will evolve into Leafeon when the time is right.
- Beat up Hau again (Z-Move: Basswood's Z-Work Up)
- Meet and beat Gladion (Z-Move: Basswood's Z-Work Up)
- Catch a nameless Lillipup, and trade said Lillipup for Bouncee the Bounsweet
- Catch Hydrangea the Paras
- Bouncee evolves into Steenee
- Spend just over a half hour reminding my game that 20% (Fomantis' encounter rate) is 1 in 5, not 1 in 40
- Catch Laslow the Fomantis
- Grindy time!
- Do the annoying parts of Lana's trial w/ Laslow
- VS Totem Wishiwashi: Bouncee uses THE MOST OP Z-MOVE EVAR to get to +3 Attack, and spams Razor leaf to start reducing the Totem's health until said totem Growls her down to -2 Attack. At this point I switch in Laslow to finish the job. (MVP: Bouncee, Z-Move: Bouncee's Z-Splash). Badge 3/11
- Do the Battle Royal thing with Laslow and lose horribly.
- Well, here comes the fun part. The Fire/Poison Totem that resists all but 3 attacks and Quad-resists all but one of my STABs on Pokemon not named Basswood. I wonder who gets used here?
- Oh, and the Hiker's Magmar defeats Takumi before the totem fight even starts, so there goes two of said 3 attacks.
- VS Totem Salazzle (Attempts 1-4) - I get rekt. Everything gets outsped, and everything not named Basswood gets one-shot. Although I am able to formulate a plan...
- VS Totem Salazzle (5th attempt) - I lead Hydrangea into the Totem, mostly because Takumi died. And then a miracle happens: Quick Claw triggers, allowing me to get a Stun Spore off. Hydrengea gets nuked on the next turn tho, and Erufuun takes over. One Prankster Leech Seed later, Erufuun is also Flame Bursted out. At this point, I am forced to use my only Fire-neutral Pokemon and hope for the best. "The Best" in this case is using Swift once then spamming Super Potions until Leech Seed saps all of the Totem's health. In the event that it got fully paralyzed, use Swift again the following turn. Many long and infuriating turns later, I finally sap the damned totem's last HP. Breakneck Blitz finishes the SOS, and the Firium-Z is ours (co-MVP: Hydrangea/Basswood/Erufuun, Z-Move: Basswood's Breakneck Blitz [Quick Attack]). Badge 4/11
- I reward the guys (and girl) with some Masalada, and we rest up a bit before we move in the general direction of the totem I had the most trouble with my first playthrough: the Grass totem.

Team directly after the Fire trial trial:

Ultimate Grass Monotype Challenge
Diamond, FireRed, StormSilver, Emerald, Black 2, Y, Sun (9/11)

At least I haven't had to deal with another stinking Salazzle. Yet.

Sun
Important Events:
Spoiler:
Akala Island
- Head up the road to the Grass trial, training and stuff.
- VS Totem Lurantis - Hydrangea gets yet another conveniently timed Quick Claw trigger to lower the thing's health, but Takumi is the one to do the actual battling with Pluck. He does go down eventually, so Basswood has to come clean up (MVP: Takumi, Z-Move: Basswood's Breakneck Blitz [Swift]) Objective 5/11
- At this point, I realize I'm in Lush Jungle and go level Basswood up in the back, evolving him into Leafeon.
- tbh I forget what happened between then and Olivia (besides grabbing the all-important Leech Life TM), but does it matter?
- Also, Bouncee evolved.
- Oh, I did lose to Plumeria once.
- VS Kahuna Olivia: lol rock gyms. Was much harder than most, but it got done eventually. (MVP: Basswood, Z-Move: Laslow's Bloom Doom [Leaf Blade]) Objective 6/11
- The aether foundation exposition happens

Ula'Ula Island
- That really ugly intro to Maile happens
- Hau loses badly
- Up the mountain we go
- Beat up Molyane and his Skarmbrat with a few well placed +6 Bass Bites to the face
- Basswood also easily defeats the intro to the Bug Electric trial
- VS Totem Vikavolt: Basswood gets a Bite off and then dies painfully. Erufuun, being the boss he is, pushes Leech Seed once on each enemy, and then Giga Drain/Potion stalls out until the thing goes bye bye (MVP: Erufuun, Z-Move: None). Objective 7/11
- VS Your Boy Guzma: Ewwwww, more bugs. Hydrangea doesn't take a First Impression very well, but thankfully Effect Spore manages to replicate the effect the intended move (Spore) would have had. Erufuun did his normal stally thing that has become my standard way of dealing with pesky birds and bugs, Bouncee dies for his sins, and Takumi comes in to finish them off (MVP: Takumi, Z-Move: None)
- Oh, and Takumi evolved
- EXPOSITION! EXPLORATION! HAPPY THINGS!
- VS Totem Mimikyu: Aids. But alas, basically the same tactic as Vikavolt. Lead with an injured Basswood to pop that annoying illusion thing. Bouncee did come in to push Trop Kick once to make Mimikyu less deadly tho. Erufuun pushes Leech Seed twice and waits for things to happen. I don't even think I ended up Potioning, although Erufuun did eventually go down. Takumi came in for the clean-up, although even he could not defeat the mighty support Haunter. Laslow serves as the clean-up crew. (MVP: Erufuun, Z-Move: None) Objective 8/11
- Plumiera is awful to face
- Laslow FINALLY evolves, meaning the last unevolved member of my team is the Eviolite-wielding Cottonee, who I also eventually evolve.
- Begin the siege of Po town
- VS Your Boy Guzma: A newly evolved Erufuun barely manages to stall out long enough to stop the +6 Golisopod from murdering it, abusing Emergency Exit to remove the buffs. From here it's the Hydrangea show, although it goes down eventually, so I do get to give Golisopod the good old fashioned Sinister Arrow Raid it deserved (MVP: Hydrangea, Z-Move: Takumi's Sinister Arrow Raid)
- Gladion is a great character
- VS Kahuna Nanu: I have Bug type attacks on 3 Pokemon, how do you think this went? (MVP: Laslow, Z-Move: Hydrangea's Savage Spin-Out [Leech Life])

Team directly after the 3rd island:
Spoiler:

Takumi (Decidueye) Lv35 @ Dicidium Z
Male | Naive (Spd>SpDef) | Overgrow
- Synthesis
- Razor Leaf
- Spirit Shackle
- Pluck

Erufuun (Whimsicott) Lv36 @ Big Root
Male | Naive (Spd>SpDef) | Prankster
- Psychic
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain

Basswood (Leafeon) Lv35 @ Grassium Z
Male | Bashful (Neutral) | Leaf Guard
- Bite
- Swords Dance
- Swift
- Quick Attack

Bouncee (Tsareena) Lv37 @ Normalium Z
Female | Adamant (Atk>SpAtk) | Leaf Guard
- Splash
- Stomp
- Teeter Dance
- Trop Kick

Hydrangea (Parasect) Lv35 @ Buginium Z
Male | Bold (Def>Atk) | Effect Spore
- Brick Break
- Spore
- Leech Life
- Aerial Ace

Laslow (Lurantis) Lv36 @ Grassium Z
Male | Bashful (Neutral) | Leaf Guard
- Leech Life

- Leaf Blade
- Aerial Ace

Popped in to say I started a Flying monotype on Sun a little while ago. Kinda annoyed that I'm using Butterfree, Zubat, and Wingull, but hey, maybe I'll encounter some cool new ones later in the game.
Edit: Except I didn't realize my starter would turn into Ghost type. Blast.

Ultimate Grass Monotype Challenge
Diamond, FireRed, StormSilver, Emerald, Black 2, Y, Sun (10/11)

Because all eggs should evolve into trees that also happen to be fire-breathing, brick-breaking, and Earthquaking psychkinetic DRAGONS. #PokemonLogic

THAR BE SPOILERS AHEAD. You have been warned.

Sun
Important Events:
Spoiler:
Aether Paradise
- Turn on Coldplay
- Beat up some Aether Grunts
- Boss rush inc ready go
- VS Your Boy Guzma (Attempt 8): Erufuun Protects off the First Impression, and then Leech Seeds and waits patiently for Emergency Exit to proc. Laslow dies to get Takumi the switch-in. Takumi then survives an Air Slash with 8 HP and Sinister Arrow Raids and Sucker Punches Masquerain to the ground. Erufuun spams Psychic on Ariados, and Protects the First Impression yet again. Bouncee dies somewhere in this mess, but Takumi's Sucker Punch eventually downs Golisopod. Pinsir proves a problem, eliminating Takumi after one Sucker Punch and taking down Basswood. He does get Paralyzed after laying the finishing blow on Hydrangea tho, which helps. Erufuun then does Erufuun things and Leech stalls out Pinsir's remaining health, FINALLY giving me the win. (MVP: Erufuun, Z-Move: Takumi's Sinister Arrow Strike)
- VS Human Lusamine: Hydrangea Spores and KOes Clefable. Mismagius gets Sucker Punched by Takumi, who she proceeds to KO, and then Bitten by Basswood. Erufuun puts Bewear in its place with Leech Stall and a couple Psychics. Hydrangea comes back to deal with Lilligant. Laslow KOes Milotic. (MVP: Hydrangea, Z-Move: Laslow's Bloom Doom [Leaf Blade])
- Well THAT happened.

Poni Island
- Follow Hapu to the ruins
- Visit Exeggutor Island. Nothing to see here.

- Go grab a Leaf Stone to evolve Cashew
- Beat up some Skulls, get Poisionum Z
- I'm really underlevelled here lol. It should be fine tho, VPC makes a great grinding spot for Grassies with all the Lycanroc hanging around.
- VS Kahuna Hapu: Hydrangea Breaks Dugtrio's Brick. Erufuun does Erufuun things to Flygon. Cashew uses Grass Knot twice on Mudsdale. Basswood uses Swords Dance and then overkills Gastrodon. (MVP: All, Z-Move: Basswood's Bloom Doom [Razor Leaf]) Objective 10/11

Important Events:
Spoiler:
Poni Island
- The Training Train has left the metaphorical station
- lots of grinding off Carbink and Lycanroc
- Alright, Dragons. This is probably going to be a hard challenge...
- VS Totem Kommo-o: Lol nope, Moonblast (MVP: Erufuun, Z-Move: None)
- P L O T C L I M A X
- VS Totem Lusamine: Basically the same as the last Lusamine fight tbh. So I'm going to c/p and replace a few details. Hydrangea Spores and Takumi KOes Clefable. Mismagius gets Sucker Punched by Takumi, who she proceeds to KO, and then Bitten by Basswood. Erufuun puts Bewear in its place with Leech Stall and a couple Moonblasts. Hydrangea comes back to deal with Lilligant. Laslow KOes Milotic. (MVP: Hydrangea, Z-Move: Laslow's Bloom Doom [Solar Blade])
- Catch Nebby the majestic space lion to sit in the box of happy fun ness. At least it looks like he is enjoying Pelago
- Nanu, WERE YOU HERE THE WHOLE TIME?

Ula'Ula Revisited
- VS Gladion (Take 4): I honestly forget how I did this, but I did. (I don't remember lol)
- VS Hau: See above. Not NEARLY as hard, but I forget what happened.
- Elite 4 time. Only one of these 4 should give me actual problems... So let's start there!
- VS Elite Four Kahili: A LOT of revives were lost in the making of this post. It got down to like 2-4 at some point, but once Crobat went down everything else was heavily damaged (except Toucannon), so Erufuun dealt with Mandi before falling to Toucannon, and Hydrangea picked up a triple kill for the game. (MVP: Hydrangea, Z-Move: Hydrangea's Savage Spin-Out [Leech Life])
- VS E4 Acerola: Hre comes the easy part. Erufuun blasts Sableye, Cashew Flamethrowers Dhelmise, Takumi Sucker Punches Froslass, Laslow Blades Palossand, Cashew takes out Drifblim through various means (MVP: Cashew, Z-Move: Cashew's Devastating Drake [Dragon Hammer])
- VS E4 Hala: Erufuun pushes Moonblast a few times, dies, gets revived, and pushed Moonblast another few times. Laslow nukes Poliwrath. (MVP: Erufuun, Z-Move: Laslow's Bloom Doom [Solar Blade])
- VS E4 Olivia: Baswood gets to +4 Attack and pushes Leaf Blade 4 times (plus an X-Scissor to break Golem's Sturdy) and Bloom Doom once. (MVP: Basswood, Z-Move: Basswood's Bloom Doom [Leaf Blade])
- Vs Professor Kukui: Lycanroc opens SR to Laslow's Leaf Blade. Incineroar Z-Moves Erufuun, Cashew dies painfully to an Outrage, but Hydrangea come in to save the day. Erufuun Leech Seeds Braviary, and I have to sac everything else to repeatedly reset the Protect counter. A newly revived Takumi dodges two Blizzards to take out Ninetales. Takumi also deals with Snorlax with the help of a couple Revives, and uses the the two turns it gets from Magnezone to max revive Hydrangea and revive Erufunn. The latter dies to get a Leech Seed off, and Hydrangea deals a good bit more damage to the Zone before reviving Erufuun again on the way out. After a VERY large quantity of similar plays, it ends up as an Erufuun Moonblast that wins me the challenge. GGWP. (MVP: Erufuun/Hydrangea, Z-Move: Hydrangea's Savage Spin-Out [Leech Life])
E4 MVP: Hydrangea

FINAL TEAM:

Takumi (Decidueye) Lv57 @ Decidium Z
Male | Naive (Spd>SpDef) | Overgrow
- Sucker Punch
- Razor Leaf
- Spirit Shackle
- Brave Bird

Takumi, Takumi, Takumi... What am I to do with you? This guy was always there to back me up when I needed it most. Dealt with Bugs early, Sucker Punched everything late. Super fun to use as always, and a great joy to have around

Erufuun (Whimsicott) Lv56 @ Big Root
Male | Naive (Spd>SpDef) | Prankster
- Moonblast
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain

Erufuun was viable the whole game. Leech Seed is an amazing move, Giga Drain is a great help too.

Basswood (Leafeon) Lv56 @ Grassium Z
Male | Bashful (Neutral) | Leaf Guard
- Bite
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- X-Scissor

Bass was my team's foundation. The ever-reliable physical attacker that, while not too strong, I could always count on to get the job done.

Cashew (Exeggutor-A) Lv55 @ Dragonium Z
Male | Careful (SpDef>SpAtk) | Frisk
- Psychic
- Dragon Hammer
- Flamethrower
- Wood Hammer

A VERY late addition, but still super fun to use. Flamethrower and Psychic were great coverage.

Hydrangea (Parasect) Lv56 @ Buginium Z
Male | Bold (Def>Atk) | Effect Spore
- Brick Break
- Spore
- Leech Life
- Aerial Ace

Spore Bot that always ended up saving the day when I least expected it. I love Parasect so much :)

Laslow (Lurantis) Lv55 @ Grassium Z
Male | Bashful (Neutral) | Leaf Guard
- Leech Life
- Solar Blade
- Leaf Blade
- Aerial Ace

Kinda boring, but did what he needed to. Enjoyable to have around., even if he was basically a worse Leafeon

Out of rotation: Bouncee the Tseerena

RUN MVP: Erufuun

Finally got around to making some more progress on my Steel mono:

Steel Monotype on Y, Update 7
-dealt with Lysandre/Team Flare at the their cafe
-Went to Geosenge Town and put a stop to Lysandre's little genocide scheme. That cutscene where Yveltal awakens is still one of the cooler things in the series imo
-I had actually spent a few days trying to get a Dusk Stone off of Psychic Inver and Super Training to evolve Doublade, then realized I wasted a bunch of time since there was one sitting in the nearby Terminus Cave =( But I was finally able to get my blade to achieve its final form.
-Made my way to Snowbelle, bumping into Sycamore and the kids along the way
-When you get to Snowbelle you kinda just can't go to the gym, as Wulfric decides that that's the exact best moment to go into the woods
-So I head into the Winding Woods to go fetch him. Place is kinda annoying really cuz its maze-y, but I somehow made my way to his spot and reminded him to get his ass back to the gym
-Then had to figure out how to get the psyduck back to town, but it fortunately didn't take too long, though I never found out how to get the TM I saw....probably missed some other areas too but idc
-BADGE GET! It was an Ice type gym, this is a Steel monotype with a Mega Lucario, you kinda just click buttons and win.

So we're finally getting to the end of this one now, it's just Victory Road+League+AZ and I'm done.

yeah I didn't feel like typing much this time

The Ultimate

I haven't posted in forever, but I have made TONS of progress on my Water mono run on FireRed. I've gotten to the 8th gym, but have been grinding levels for so long, and I just finished. Took forever, but it was worth it. Right now, my team consists of:

Amethyst the Lapras, ♀, Level 61,
Ice Beam|Body Slam|Shock Wave|Surf|

Garydos the Gyarados, ♂, Level 61
Strength|Surf|Fire Blast|Twister|

Abraham the Blastoise, ♂, Level 62
Dig|Rock Smash|Surf| Bite|

Hades the Politoed, ♂, Level 61
Brick Break|Psychic|Surf|Swagger|

Helix the Omastar, ♂, Level 61
Mud Shot|Blizzard|Ancient Power|Surf|

Seymore the Vaporeon, ♂, Level 62
Bite|Acid Armor|Aurora Beam|Surf|

Vaporeon is my favorite to use. I don't know why lol.
Is anyone else finding the constant grinding for levels boring? I'm almost at the point where I want to hack in rare candies. Now, off to Viridian Gym!
I believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior. If you do too, and aren't scared to admit it, then copy and paste this in your signature.

Pokemon Black Grass Monotype- Update #1, That Stupid Pansear

-So I opened the game, I was met by Juniper, yada, yada, and named myself Douglas (As in the Douglas Fir)
-I picked Snivy and named it SolidSnake
-Fought Rivals. Too EZ
-Made it through boring tutorials
-Saw Team Plasma's presentation
-Fought N. A bigger challenge
-Fought Bianca. No Problem
-Beat Route 2 and Dream Yard trainers- Snivy Levels up some more.
-Fought Cheren in Trainers School.
-Fought Gym trainers.

Now here is the good part. Vs Chili and his Pansear.
Attempt 1- SolidSnake used Growth, Lillipup used Work Up.
Solid Snake used Vine Whip, Lillipup used Tackle
Solid Snake uses Tackle, Chilli uses a potion on Lillipup.
Solid Snake used Vine Whip. KO'd Lillipup

Now Pansear comes out, and spams Incinerate, while I potion stall. I try to out speed, and fail, and lose.

Attempt 2
This time I used Lillipup as set-up bait, to get 4-5 growth's up before I killed it. Then Pansear comes in, and luckily I survived Incinerate and Tackle 2 hit KO's. Trio Badge won.

-Caught HM1 The Patrat(Cut Slave, Don't want to waste a move slot when I have only one pokemon)
-Went to Dream Yard, sent Team Plasma crying, got dream mist
-Learned Leaf Tornado
-Forced to use my HM slave, due to stupid mandatory double battle, only had SolidSnake.
-Fought trainers at Daycare, Solid Snake Evolves into Servine
-Sent Team Plasma crying yet again, rescued little girls Pokemon.
-Fought more trainers, Servine grows to level 18
-Made it to Nacrene City
-Fought N, SolidSnake reaches Level 19
-Stopped playing

Team

Solid Snake (Servine) | LV18 | Male | Grass
Tackle, Leer, Leaf Tornado, Growth(my savior against chili)

Pokemon Black Grass Monotype- Update #2, Retaliate Is Annoying.

-Start up game in Nacrene city.
-Clear through gym trainers like a hot knife through butter.
-Fight Lenora, got my butt whooped big time.
-Went to outer Pinwheel forest, destroyed trainers, SolidSnake reaches Lv22
-Return to Nacrene Gym.

For Herdier, I used Growth once, then followed it up with a Leaf Tornado. Critical Hit, OHKO'd the Herdier.
Watchog comes in, uses Retaliate, SolidSnake eats it up, used leach seed, commence potion spam. Many Retaliates later, SolidSnake used growth, continuing to eat up Retaliates (thank goodness for Leach Seed.) Solid Snake uses Leaf Tornado, Leonora Heals, I heal, used Leaf Tornado twice. Watchog down, basic badge get!

(NOTE: Oh boy, this is interesting. usually I take something super effective and power through, but due to the type restriction, I've found myself using some interesting tactics to win, and what were easy gyms are definitely a lot harder.)

-See Team Plasma steal dragon skull, meet Burgh and rivals again.
-go into pinwheel forest, fight first few Plasma grunts, no big deal.
-Went into grass to catch next 2 team members.
-Caught Leef the Sewaddle
-Caught CottonWood the Cottonee
-Ended Session.

Team

SolidSnake (Servine) | LV23 | Male | Grass
Tackle, Leech Seed, Leaf Tornado, Growth
-Has done great so far, powering through any Pokemon that steps in our way.

Leef (Sewaddle) | LV14 | Male | Grass/Bug
Tackle, String Shot, Bug Bite
-New Recruit, hopefully able to take hits.

CottonWood (Cottonee) | LV14 | Male | Grass
Growth, Leech Seed, Stun Spore, Mega Drain
-New Recruit, Mega Drain and Stun Spore will be fun....

Next time, looking for a Pansage, in game trade for Petilil, grinding up my new recruits, and clearing out Team Plasma.

Update Number Five!

I made it to Pastoria City. I caught a few flying types, but none I wanted to use. Butterfly rejoined the team to fight Crasher Wake.

I beat Crasher Wake somewhat easily. Splash took out Gyarados with a Thunder, and Butterfly beat Quagsire with a couple Mega Drains. Floatzel was the hardest, but after Splash was defeated, it just took one Quick Attack from Star to beat Floatzel and get the Fen Badge.

The Team:
Spoiler:

Star (Staraptor) lvl34
Splash (Gyarados) lvl32
Bat (Crobat) lvl28
Butterfly (Beautify) lvl29
Fairy (Togetic) lvl31
Scorpion (Gligar) lvl29
