my son was over this weekend, and decided to grab my charging iPad and yank the cable, resulting in this



Gutted, anybody know the cost of replacement in the UK?

It's really going to vary to determine how much a repair would cost. Are you wishing to just get the glass fixed or get a new/used iPad?

Take it into an Apple store or an authorized seller and see how much they would charge you to fix the glass if you plan to just send it in for repairs.

It's better to get the glass replaced from an expert repair person or sending it back to Apple. You don't have to have insurance or be under warranty to send it back to apple. It's better than to waste an iPad and buy a new one because really, that's even more expensive D: I'd look around authorized repair shops that specialize in Apple products as Zach mentioned. Usually it's a lot cheaper if you look around your neighborhood.

That really sucks on what happened though. My sister broke her new iPod's glass screen the same day she opened it for Christmas. I already sent it to Apple for repairs and cost me $100, not including shipping. Should get it in two weeks or so.
