What kind of plot makes people interested in an RP?
No matter the kind of the RP, I think it's safe to say people are interested in plots that actively involve and engage them as potential players - that's the point of RPing, to work and interact with other players in a fertile setting that would bring everyone together on its own. It's better that way rather than the GM forcing everyone to come together when the IC is up, having a plot with little relevance to the players that backs him up poorly (I speak from experience here). After that mistake of mine as a GM, the group felt awkward and we never bonded as we would have if I had made clear first-thing through the plot in the OOC what it was that we would be doing and how exactly all of our characters were (supposed to be) related.

Furthermore, it's good if your plot matches the kind of RP you are making. Is it a sandbox RP? Meaning, you let the players roam free upon your setting and let them gain resources, work together or against each other and discover new events and quests you have planned on their own. Usually, people who create Sandboxes give them more loose, less structured plots that allow for that kind of game to happen, otherwise too much leading-along and hand-holding will result in their RP being bogged down by people who've grown bored and want to develop their characters instead of having them locked in plot-related situations.

It could be a RP that's heavily plot-dependent; there are certain people, like me, who prefer this type of RP and dislike the loose plots of the Sandboxes. In case you want to make such an RP, you'll want to give the plot and how it affects your fellow players much thought, and you have to plan, not only for the OOC, but constantly plan ahead (if only a little bit) for events that will happen IC next. Or maybe you don't have to - but that's the only way I know I can make the RP's plot to work, by planning.

That's to give your question a general answer. If you're asking what kind of plot is popular among the peeps of this forum, the RPs you'll find here will teach you that.

I would like to make up an RP based in the Pokemon Past in the Preexisting Canon past the time of Damos in Arceus and the Jewel of Life. The players will be a group of children intending to make a relationship with their pokemon instead of just as tools and go on an adventure all around the Historic Sinnoh Region, Though there are no Gyms, if I were doing it like a journey rp there would be different problems per town, like drought, or Pokemon Infestation, with a overarching plot which may or may not include some timey travely Dialga shenanigans.

That does sound like an interesting idea actually, I'd love to see what you can make of it.
I would strongly recommend though, that you don't actually use Damos. Using canon characters is never a good idea.

Has anyone seen a cartoon called Total Drama Island?
I've seen a Pokemon crossover of it on Youtube and it would be cool
To make an rp of one :)
I know of it.
I'm not sure how it would work as a pokemon crossover though.

I'd like some feed back on this character concept, not in a rp atm but ready for transplant, history changes per universe.

Name:
Jason Waddington
Jason may be called by his psuedonym which he gives to people doesn't know, this alias is "Archimedes" Or "Arc" He uses this because this is a person who greatly inspires him. Jason often gives his surname as Wades or Wade, since the surname seems pretentious to him.

Appearence:

(ignore the ear ring)

Gender:

Personality:
Jason is obsessed with the world of mathematics. He particularly likes measurements. He always has a retracting tape messure which he uses to measure aswell as a weapon, such as a whip, or setting up traps and trip wires (depending if the universe he is put in, he may have a spell or future-tech ability to never lose it). He has several different tape measures. He has modified his favourite one to accomadate an extra 300 centimetres and he often uses it measure, well, anything. Steming from this, he has a love for architecture which in turn allows him to be an expert in demolition and using the enviroment around him. In his spare time, he draws up different types of building. Jason is generally easy going, although when first meeting someone he will do mental calculations about their height, weight, their clothes and can tell things if they are off easily. He enjoys hanging with friends but he doesn't like to have many friends and focuses effort on a small group. He looks very studiously at nature and the enviroment around him. His combat advantages come from his enhanced cognitive ability, processing information and planning alltogether at an accelerated pace. He has a relaxed tone of voice and likes to draw. He has a certain vibe he gives off as being confident and easy-going.

Additionally, what kind of sci-fi rp/setting do you like: time travel, pokemon future, original future, etcetera?

Sooo.... I have this idea of a SAO and Pokemon crossover RP called Kalos Rebirth Online

Spoiler:
plot
  • nintendo stops making Pokemon games
  • Which outrages fans
  • Pokemon creator mysteriously dies
  • Replaced by his son, and promises to produce another pokemon game
  • 2030 marks VMMORPGs
  • The new game is called KRO, many fans are happy
  • 3 years later, hackers arrived
  • Dubbed as Team Codex
  • They altered the game's coding so that players cant log out
  • And when they die IG, they die IRL
  • The only way to escape the game is to win against the champ

Stuff
  • A new capture system using different Pokeballs
  • Money to buy stuff
  • Move tutors!

  • A sandbox rp around Kalos!

So, what do you guys think?

I've tried a Pokémon and SAO crossover twice (almost thrice actually). What I can recommend is to have players follow a plot and have a reason to stick together or meet up, rather than to make it completely sandbox-y. It can easily become too loose and uninteresting if you can go anywhere and do anything. How about, for example, no one can get past the first gym town until someone has beaten the gym leader? Sort of like how the dungeon bosses in SAO work. The gym leaders could be hacked to be ridiculously tough and require several player trainers to beat.

Ok, how about having only specific areas available until a specific event is fulfilled by the players?

That could work :) but some Gyms are spaced far away from each other, but a cool idea!

Dropping this here to see if the basic plot idea can interest people. Feedback and questions would also be greatly appreciated.

This is an idea for a Roleplay I'm probably going to call Leeway Stretch. Leeway being a Synonim for Space; Stretch serving such purpose for the word Time. It is a Pokemon Roleplay, and it follows a journey of sorts while also trying to be somewhat open and such.

Once upon a time, the kind citizens of the Pokemon world would go about doing the typical things a typical citizen of the Pokemon world would do. They'd wake up, get dressed, eat lunch and attend their regular jobs, or they'd study in a regular school. Ocassionally, they'd engage in a regular Pokemon battle, maybe even two of them. Those wealthy and/or lucky enough would travel around entire continents just to fight the imprissoned wildlife of others, or they'd spend their days collecting ribbons with only as much value as the bearer would give them.

Ocassionally, one of them would single-handedly take down an entire group of terrorists. And the good ol' professors with funny tree names would send children to the outside to do their job - often with better results than their years of intense research.

Was it the best society? Certainly not. But you learn to appreciate it once it all goes downhill.

This is my grandson. He's been your rival since you were a baby. …Erm, what is his name again?

It was June, I think. The recent trend of Mega-Evolution had taken the world by storm, and most people were only concerned with getting as many Mega-Stones and Key Stones as they could. Most never goteither, some got at least one of the two, and the minority with both wouldn't hesitate to brag whenever they had the chance too.

Soon, the more celebrated Gym Leaders got a hold of those, too. On came the Elite Four and Champions, waving their shiny bracelets and stones like accessories - rarely would they use them, but damn it if they weren't the prettiest thing ever -. And yet, they weren't ready when it happened.

Then again, nobody was.

That's right! I remember now! His name is a̸͖͇̘̳͈͙̮̯͉͙̻̤̲͛ͣ̑͂̏ͣ͌͌̓̿f̵̨̦̭̰̲̣̳̞̱͑͗̃͌͗̒͗̈́ͯ͑̑̒̄̃̚f̢͑ͦ̉̂̈ͮͩ̈ͤ͠͏̷̭̺̺͙͜f͓̟̝̟̣̣͈̗̟̙͍̺ͥ͛ͭ̂̈́̒̍ͯ͂ͬ̊ͭ̍ͫ͋̐ͨͭ́͜ğ̷̵̱͈͎̲ͮͣ͆͗͐̄̃ͣ̉̋ͩ̏ͪ̎̍ͩͪ̚͝a͓͉̣͔ͫͦ̊̾̋͐̾ͫͫ́̌͌̽͜͞k̴̢̫̭̮̗̗͉͚͉͉̱ͫͣ͒̅ͣͦ͑ͮ̔̔̔͗͢͝n̫͓̞̼̗̲̝͉̝̦̙͈̲̮̭͓ͤ̅ͩ̽̍͐ͣ̓̓̉ͣ̔ͭ̍ͫ͟͢ͅͅͅk̴̪͇̥̱͈̣̘͕͖͓̭̫͖̤̪̇ͭͧ̀͐̽ͪ̏̃̅ͮ̓ͣ̔̆̎͛̚͜a͊̒͂ͣ͋ͩ̈́͗̄̎ͦ̀̽͛́͊̔̐̆͟҉̡҉̭͓̗̟͇̣͍͎̱̩͕̤̮̺̹̫̩f̧̛̲̤̠͍͕̜̪̔ͣ͆̿ͯ̾̏̐̌͌̎͗͑̓̏ͧ̕͝͡ͅv̷̗̪͉̹̼͎͍̖͉̩̣̘̾̂͒͛̐͘͟ͅͅͅk̙̭̟̗̺̝̫̳̝̞̮̪̝̺͐̀͛̑ͧ͘͟ͅj̶̶̢̤̟͉̦̝̻̻͎̥̬̜̮̪̖̝̦̹̃̃̅̑̅̓̀̚͢ͅą̈́͋̾͛ͮ͐̇͌ͣͭ̿ͭ́҉̷̜̟̦͔̩̝̺̞͞g̶̵͇̜̩̼̦̾͆̾̋ͧͬ͗́ͩͣ͒͐̚͘͜͜!

No one can say for sure who did it. It may have been none of them, or maybe it was all of them at once. But we can at least agree on the outcome.

The grounds would shake violently, the seas would consume entire cities, the land would shatter, and everything would move in every which way that you could imagine. A lot of people died, and a lot of Pokemon were never again seen. Cities banished, mountains collapsed, and continents crashed against one another. It is said that at least two Pokemon had influence on how the resulting mesh of all previously known regions came to be, but numerous sightings of numerous legendary Pokemon - and the fact that most eye witnesses have perished by this point - make it hard to figure out what happened.

The east coast of Hoenn swears it was the Super Ancient Pokemon who let loose on Earth with the entirety of their strength. southern Unova claims the Deep Black and Vast White Dragons are the culprits to the case. Folks at the north of Sinnoh could swear on the life of their champion that they saw the Pokemon of Time and Space flying around while wrecking havoc as they pleased.

And yet, society had to rebuild itself while also worrying about finding a culprit to the matter. A lot of towns and cities were left practically unrecognizable, and a settlement resulting intact is something practically unheard of. Caves collapsed, and a lot of roads would no longer serve their purpose of connecting places in a logical manner.

But grim as it may all be, both man and 'mon have managed to rise back from the ashes, slowly, yet steadily. It's been a long ride, but towns - and part of some cities - have been rebuilt in whichever way it was possible for those who survived, and a few roads can at least inform you of where each place is now. Ever thought of Ilex Forest leading to Veilstone City? Crazy stuff, man. Honestly.

There's a lot of work to be done for this new Pokemon World to even resemble its former incarnation. In the meantime, the same question lingers in various heads: whodunnit? Just which legendary Pokemon had a fit of anger in the first place? Are we even responsible for it?

b̢̨̞̻̲̜̫̤̣͍̝̣͔̫͚̬͎̝̟͆ͬ͗͆̓͆̓̆́ͫ̕͟͝ͅŗ̸̅͒͑͆͏̸̛̙͕͙̦̬͍͍̺̥̟̯̮̩̞̰ͅr̛̟̬̙̯̔̊ͩ͗̓ͣ̑̎͡r̸̩̲̝̖̞̭̹̯̫̖͉̮̖̝̼̟̜̍̊ͣͤ͋ͪ̆̇ͨͬ̐ͨͪ̓g̨̠͉̫̱̝̻̱̖̝̤̖̯̠̫̪̞̭̰̖͐̅͒̅͋͆ͨ̉̋͂̌̾̚͠z̧̢ͤ̓͑ͧͮ̓ͧ͐ͦ̊̂̾̓́̾͡͏̙̤̩͙͖̦̯̺̗͇̰͚͉̹̙͞ͅl̸̳̩̰̙͑ͪ̅͊̉͆̎ͫ̾̂̎́̉̓̃͒̚̕͡͡k͗̽̔ͥ̄̋͛ͨ̿̓̇̈̌͂ͪ͏̛̩͎̦̠̻͘͞͝s̜̪̰̰̫͖͚̤̰̬̩͕̗͍̀̊ͭͬ̒ͫ̓̏̓̅̀͂ͫͭ̈́̀̀͘͞͞ͅͅͅą̶̡̠̻̗̜̰̤͇͔̫̹̭̲̪̯̑ͨ̓ͤ̆̊͒̇͘͢ͅv̦̖̹̦̤̬̹̘̠̖̤̑̋ͤ̈́̾͊̓̒̈ͤ̔͂͋͒͒̿ͬͥ͘͠ͅȃ̛͋̃̽̎̒̃͏̸̢̺̠̺̣̹̝̫̫͇̱! Simply put: the world of Pokemon has drastically changed, and society has collapsed to an extent. After an incident involving two(?) of the numerous legendary Pokemon, all known regions have encompassed into a large landmass, with most towns and dungeons being destroyed in the process. Numerous testimonies seem to indicate that it was a large number of legendary Pokemon working in tandem to cause the conflict, but the case remains open and so far there isn't a clear explanation to what happened and, most importantly, why it happened. Players would end up involved, in some way or another, in a journey across whatever remains of this reformed Pokemon world, eventually finding an explanation to the events leading to the collapse of society via some weird timey wimey shenanigans.

It is a redux of sorts of a concept for a Roleplay that I've attempted twice before, but I think I have a more solid grasp of the plot and how to handle it after being away from the Roleplay Theatre for quite a bit now, and I wanted to make sure if the interest is there. It may take me a while to fully ready this for posting, since I want to have some extent of the plot thought out before I submit it for approval.

IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU SHOWED UP.

Anyway I'm not going to go too in-depth into this at the moment, but I think this has the makings of being a really interesting take on the pokemon world. The post apocalyptic pokemon things has more or less been done before, but never in quite the vivid and dramatic way you have painted it and I'm looking forward to seeing what will undoubtably be an amazing epic play out.

Basically, post this immediately because even though I may not be able to join I want to read it.

I've got an idea for a trainer academy roleplay but I'm a little unsure about starting it because there is already a long running one. Looking for opinions on if I should make this roleplay.
Well there's like three or four journey RPs running, so I don't think that another RP having the same genre should exactly dissuade you. However you might want to ask yourself whether or not you're better off just signing up for PTA instead.

I don't know if this is still a thing or not, but I'm just gonna leave something here. Let me know what you think. I'll add the plot and the present-day stuff in a little bit.

The Deep Blue: An Overview
Spoiler:
Welcome to the world of the Deep Blue...The deep blue typically refers to two things: The sky, and the sea. In this case, it refers to both. Shira, goddess of the sea, and Doran, god of the sky, have always been in a harmonious relationship with each other. Long ago, when tie began, they came into being as well. Upon meeting each other, they fell in love. As Shira created the vast seas, Doran created the open sky to mirror her. The world they inhabited was nothing but a big, blue circle There was peace, but the deities felt lonely. They wanted children. Shira created the mer-folk, an aquatic group of humanoid fishes, to dwell in the ocean. They took the forms of sharks, whales, turtles, and everything in between. Doran decided to create the Avans, humanoid bird folk. The Avans often took the form of larger birds such as the condor, eagle, or crane, but there are instances of smaller birds like chickens or finches. The two gods felt a little less lonely, but their ocean/sky specific creations drove them further apart. They created the land for a middle ground. To populate the land, they created us...Humans. Humans were the first beings made to walk on land, although the others would come to adapt. The two gods loved all three of their creations deeply, and they even tried to combine them, but the experiment went horribly wrong. But that's another story. The gods instead spent their time raising the new-born species, teaching them how to evolve and survive. After they taught the mortals how to survive, they backed off. They wanted to watch their creations grow on their own. Over the centuries, their hold was all but lost to humanity. The Avan and Mer-Folk has still retained their contact, however. Over time, a third force came into play: Jasper, the Horror. Jasper was the first attempt to create the mixture of the three races. Jasper was rather deformed, with the body of a human, wings of an aven, and the tail and teeth of a shark. His wrath was justified...but cold.

This is some really unique and interesting lore you have here! I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it.

More stuff!

The World as of Now
Spoiler:
Humanity has thrived in the middle of the earth, the Avans have claimed their spots among the mountain peaks, and the mer-folk have chosen the coasts of the great continent as their homelands. There is no real enmity between the racial groups, although individual cases are always certain, and some there has been interbreeding. Trade is regular between the different nations and the only standing army, belonging to the humans, is small, numbering in the thousands. The lack of soldiers is made up for with the skill of each individual warrior. All races of the great continent are welcome in the army. The army is mainly used for fighting piracy, bandits, and rogue soldiers. There have been reports of small groups of Ash Spawn in the wilderness...but those are just stories...right? Quarrels that turn violent are often settled in the arena where people may compete for glory, for rights to a fair maiden, and so on.

Warriors of the great continent are often gifted with extraordinairy abilities, strengths, and speeds. They often gather at the Arena and Central Cities to train with each other, increasing their strength even more. Magic is almost non-existent, but only rumored to exist with Avan and Mer monks deep within their respective territories. It is used rarely for combat, and even then it isn't very strong. It is primarily used for healing and communication with the gods. Swords, axes, spears, and the like are still the primary form of weaponry.

Plot:
Spoiler:
Jasper the Horror, although born over a hundred years ago, is still very much alive and in hiding. He was the first true mage, capable of great feats, and using his power, he located a third deity to take revenge on his neglectful creators. The being he found was Asher, god of the earth. Asher's origin is unknown, but his intentions are clear. He has corrupted a large number of the three races, turning them into little more than puppets, and has even created his own sick creatures. The Ash Spawn, as they are referred to, are fearsome monsters that have no singular shape, and may resemble anything. Asher and Jasper are building an army, no doubt, each with their own goal: Jasper, to take revenge on his creators, and Asher to usurp the surface world. It is only a matter of time before their attack begins in earnest.

You:
You can be anything you wish: A mer-folk fisher, an avan messenger, a human pit fighter. You name it, you can be it. One thing that is common with all of you, however, is that you are all chosen by the gods. Shira and Doran have made contact first, the rarest occasion is hundreds of years, and they have designated each and every one of you to combat the forces of darkness. Only those who stand together can hope to stem the overwhelming tide of the underworld.

As the type of person who really likes this genre of RPs I thought I'd give some feedback, seeing as I'd be interested if this came to fruition.

Anyway, here's my comments... Though, I'm aware maybe you were purposely vague or haven't quite come up with the concept yet so obviously some of the things you're not going to include in the post. Just things to think about.

Spoiler:

There was peace, but the deities felt lonely. They wanted children. Shira created the mer-folk, an aquatic group of humanoid fishes, to dwell in the ocean. They took the forms of sharks, whales, turtles, and everything in between. They created the land for a middle ground.
You mention that they created the earth as a sort of middle-ground between the two of them, but all the creatures you listed for Shira are solely aquatic creatures with the exception of turtles. Perhaps, list more for that criteria since you made it a point in the plot.

The two gods loved all three of their creations deeply, and they even tried to combine them, but the experiment went horribly wrong. But that's another story.
This doesn't seem like another story it seems like the story, especially since you introduced Jasper at the end who is clearly one of those experiments... I would suggest maybe altering that? Your choice tho.

So... did the Gods not do this with their original creations? Are the humans special or something? It seems like you're singling this out as if it is the first time they've done this and if it is perhaps that's something you should expand upon or mention.

Why did they stay in contact with the Avans and Mer-Folk, but not the humans? Was this part of another experiment?

Trade is regular between the different nations and the only standing army, belonging to the humans, is small, numbering in the thousands. The lack of soldiers is made up for with the skill of each individual warrior. All races of the great continent are welcome in the army. The army is mainly used for fighting piracy, bandits, and rogue soldiers.
Uh, so let me get this right, humans are the only ones with an army... Why? I'm confused as why there is an army in the first place, armies are usually fought when you have a war, but you said there wasn't any animosity, so why the army? Are they expecting war? It seems like to me this is more of local law enforcement and not an army.

There have been reports of small groups of Ash Spawn in the wilderness...but those are just stories...right? Quarrels that turn violent are often settled in the arena where people may compete for glory, for rights to a fair maiden, and so on.
Wait, what are Ash Spawns? Generally, if you're introducing some sort of "bad folk" you would give a quick description like... "There have been reports of a small group of [describe what Ash Spawns ARE], known as Ash Spawns... but those are just stories... right? It's not like you're describing them immediately after as well.

Why is magic almost non-existent? Are these "extraordinary" abilities related to magic or no?

Why isn't magic very strong? Why is it only used for healing and communication? Is this a respected tradition and a part of that culture or something else entirely? Why isn't magic used as a weapon (I'm going assume this will link back to why it isn't very strong)?

Also, is "The Great Continent" what you're naming this slab of middle-ground because... proper name = capitalization and it would probably be easier to for us to denote what you're referring to.

If Jasper is such a good mage... and magic is not strong, how is that possible? Especially, since Jasper is the first true mage it seems like magic was a powerful force. Is it because he has both Avan and Mer-folk bloodline that his magic is so strong? If Jasper is such a good mage... and magic is not strong, how is that possible? Especially, since Jasper is the first true mage it seems like magic was a powerful force. Is it because he has both Avan and Mer-folk bloodline that his magic is so strong?

I'm not sure if you're creating this stuff and then posting it, but this part about Asher should definitely be in the overview. If Asher was a God of the middle-earth, shouldn't that be known earlier? Why wasn't he mentioned before? Why didn't Jasper take his anger out on Doran or Shira, why did he pick Asher specifically? It seemed like Doran + Shira created these experiments and Asher had nothing to do with it...

He has corrupted a large number of the three races, turning them into little more than puppets, and has even created his own sick creatures. The Ash Spawn, as they are referred to, are fearsome monsters that have no singular shape, and may resemble anything.
How did he corrupt them? (Again, this isn't something to put out there in the plot, but something you should think about...)

So that's what Ash Spawn are!

Asher and Jasper are building an army, no doubt, each with their own goal: Jasper, to take revenge on his creators, and Asher to usurp the surface world. It is only a matter of time before their attack begins in earnest.
Is there a reason Asher wants to usurp the surface world? Why hasn't he tried this before y'know... like a thousand or millennia however long it has been? Especially if he can corrupt all three races into his mindless puppets... Why did it take Jasper coming to him to make him do it? Especially, since he's the god of the middle-earth, shouldn't he have some god-like abilities that allow him to do such a thing? Did Doran and Shira do something to him to restrict him? Or....

This has that "chosen one" feel to it... Why were they chosen? Why did Doran and Shira pick them specifically? Or was it at random? Why not the best of the best warriors from this "army" or The Pits or from each race? Why not the entire army for that matter? Why can our characters do what the army obviously isn't succeeding at?

It appears as if a lot of this will be taking place on land so... I'm assuming Mer-Folk can survive on land somehow? I would suggest making a section about each race, their abilities, (brief) cultures, etc. Unless you just want people to make stuff up.

Only those who stand together can hope to stem the overwhelming tide of the underworld.
"Underworld"... Wait, so Asher is trapped in some underworld? Or resides?

A preamble:

Spoiler:
"The pain ended quickly. I rose and tried to find my body. Probably lying mangled underneath the metallic wreck. Dying in a road accident is definitely the worse way to go.

"So! Had a nice life?" asked a voice behind me.

I turned around to find a woman smiling. Since she could see me I was pretty sure she was a soul like me.

She giggled, "You are taking it pretty well. I am Cindy by the way."

I spoke evenly," What happens now? Hell? Heaven?"

She laughed louder.

Before I could say something I heard a commotion from far off.

Cindy shouted," COME ON!" And she ran.

She turned and yelled,"Have you been good?"

"What?"

"Have you done any good while you lived?”

Totally confused, I spluttered,” I…I donated blood once.”

As we reached the source of noise I was dumbstruck to find hundreds of people ripping each other apart in front of a hospital.

I shouted, “WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?”

Cindy replied, “Someone is giving birth here. These souls are fighting to get inside the new born shell.”

“But the baby…”

“LISTEN TO ME…THERE IS NO BABY UNTIL A SOUL PENETRATES IT... If no soul makes it inside, the shell is pronounced dead by doctors.”

She continued, “Your fighting strength depends on your Karma. So the soul of a rapist or a paedophile etc. stands no chance. They will never get a shell and will painfully wither away. Children are most dangerous. Pure souls. Stay away from them during fights.”

“But what about heaven… and hell?”

“THIS IS HELL! And more importantly, the life you left behind… That is heaven.”

Full disclosure: that piece of writing isn't mine; I found it on reddit, but the concept blew me away and I thought it would be an interesting premise for an RP.

Obviously there'd be a lot of spicing up in places, maybe even turn it into a straight-up dark fantasy RPG with a Disgaea/FE: Fates Conquest vibe going on. There could be alliances--guilds, even--of people trying to help one another get reincarnated, though obviously that would mandate a slight change in the reincarnation system so that it's not so individual-centric. Or alternatively, people could just fight on their own/in small teams ala TWEWY.

Idk, I feel like this is on the cusp of being a really good RP but I just can't piece my ideas together well enough. Help?
There was nothing under my skin but light.
If you cut me I could shine.
But now when I fall upon the sidewalks of life,
I skin my knees. I bleed.

I have submitted this before, however I have edited it quite a bit. It was denied due to not explaining how the RP was going to function, did I fix that with the extra info I added or do I need something else? I was a bit confused on what it meant, if someone could look at it and give their opinion I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

Spoiler:
Hidden Village

Lore + Inspiration:
Hidden Village is an RP inspired by a book I recently read. I was inspired by the idea that there are other creatures that live on earth that instead of preferring daylight and technology, they lived in the shadows and used magic. They have been around since the beginning of humans, possibly even before humans. But, because humans are a paranoid and fearful race, anytime they revealed themselves to us we hunted and killed them because we thought they were evil. We tore down forests and destroyed the natural environments which they lived in to build our vast ever-expanding empires. We are the reason why they left us, humans are what rid earth of it’s magic. All the magic creatures left through doors to other realms which were guarded by artificially created beings they called keepers. These creatures were simply an AI created by magic to manage the doors. They have no way of defending themselves, they are simply there to open and close the doors to other realms.

In this RP you can be anything you imagine! A pixie, a wood nymph, a water nymph, a were-wolf, a were-beaver, a were-chicken, a vampire, a dragon, a mage, a fire-lizard, a rock golem, a fairy, ect.

I’ll list a few and their pros and cons

Wood Nymph:
They can inhabit any tree or natural wooden objects and cannot “die” if their body is destroyed as long as it is touching earth (the ground not the planet). Although by burning it’s body it can be killed permanently.

Were-Animal
Can be any animal you desire, however only one. At first they gain nothing “supernatural” from the transformation but after practicing they can gain “powers” while in animal form. Such as increased healing/clotting, strength, speed, agility, ect.

Vampire:
Pretty much well known but I’ll explain the more unique stuff. They live in large groups like humans do, they build cities and towns, and they prefer to drink blood from animals rather than sentient creatures. However after the human attacks some have turned to more interesting ways of getting blood.

Mage/Wizard/Sorcerer:
Everyone has an aura which can be harnessed by magical means and those with magical abilities can see other’s auras and tell who possesses magical abilities. By harnessing the magic within themselves they can perform magic like you all know

Witch/Warlock:
A witch or warlock uses herbs and potions as well as talismans to achieve their magical abilities.

There are MANY more that I haven’t covered but if you want another race just post their description in your SU and if I approve it then it will be the base for the rest of their race.
Auras:
Everyone has an aura, even those who possess no magical abilities. Each type of aura can boost abilities of magic with a matching type
Herba-Plants/nature
Aqua-Water/Travel
Floa-Air/Expansion
Ignis-Fire/Passion
Terrum-Earth/Rock
Glacia-Ice/Crystal
Electri-Electricity/Storm
Wispia- Purity/Wonder
Animus-Animal/movement
Beastium-Beast/Power
Ragem-Anger/Destruction
Entropic-Chaos/Destruction
Granis-Grain/Crops
Bonda-Teamwork/Diplomacy
Huntred-Evil/Insanity
Techno-Technology/Creation
Gravita-Gravity/Attraction

Story:
You are a creature who was trapped on earth after the door keepers were destroyed and long to see others of your kind. You found a village of creatures just like yourself hidden in a magical meadow away from all human settlements. Together the group hopes to rebuild the keeper that once stood in the village and travel to other realms, hoping to find their families and others of their kind. When they come across an eccentric oddball named “The Witch of the World” they follow her advice and quests in hopes of repairing the door’s keeper. While the Wotw seeks to help them there are some that seek to stop them. The Humans might not want to stop them, however their fear may cause them to attack anyway. There is a group formed of Humans that hunt “monsters” for sport, these people tend to use technology or talismans to hunt the monsters.

You can travel anywhere on earth (no other dimensions or space, that’s part of the main storyline) and create any non-important (to the main plot) characters. Fighting with other rpers is encouraged. (ic not ooc :P) Winners of rper fights will either be agreed upon by the participants or if they can’t decide then by me. Characters’ auras should match their personality or their race. For example a witch having Herba matches but a water fairy having Ignis does not. Your character must start as a newcomer to the town and have no more than 4 special abilities to start with.

Since I'm neglecting my homework atm, I can try to help you out.

Spoiler:
The first thing I notice is the opacity... Can I convince you to make it .8 at least? If not .9? I get that you want the leaves and background images to come through, but it's hard to read the text at a .7 (for me) and that can deter people from wanting to join if they can barely read the first post.

because humans are a paranoid and fearful race, anytime they revealed themselves to us we hunted and killed them because we thought they were evil.
This seems odd, I get what you're doing though being human IRL you're relating yourself to that part. This makes me think that I have to be a human character though... So I would suggest changing it to "anytime they (supernaturals? do these subgroups have a collective name? I would think of one if not and change this "they" to that name) revealed themselves to humans they were hunted and killed because they are thought to be evil.

Again, don't do the we=humans because confusions. So, replace "we" with humans/mankind/mortals/etc.

Auras:
Everyone has an aura, even those who possess no magical abilities. Each type of aura can boost abilities of magic with a matching type
So... how does having an aura help someone with no magical abilities? What's the point in being non-magical if all you have is an aura? I would expand upon what an Aura is. Can you only have one aura? How do you know what your aura is?

Why is the story all the way at the bottom? I'd move it underneath the Lore + Inspiration section.

You can travel anywhere on earth (no other dimensions or space, that’s part of the main storyline) and create any non-important (to the main plot) characters.
I would tie this back to the Wotw and the plot that you have going. Like.. You can travel anywhere on Earth (should be capitalized in this case but... that's pickiness :p) and create any NPC characters to help them complete these quests and missions to restore the Door Keeper.

Also, are we allowed to create the quests/missions? Or will you assign those?

Characters’ auras should match their personality or their race. For example a witch having Herba matches but a water fairy having Ignis does not. Your character must start as a newcomer to the town and have no more than 4 special abilities to start with.
I'm trying to understand why this isn't in the Aura section, but here? Maybe you should move it there. To be honest... I don't understand why water fairies can't have conflicting auras? How weird would it be for a water fairy's aura to be fire? Like that would make one interesting character. That might be a reason for why she was left behind or no one talks to her. I don't know... I think limiting auras to "matches" can make you miss out on some really interesting characters. That's just my thought. Your RP, your rules. ^^;

Also, I do believe you're missing a Rules section and a rating, but maybe you edited that out of this version.

Your character must start as a newcomer to the town and have no more than 4 special abilities to start with.
What are these abilities? Did I miss something... Are these the auras?

Anyway, to give some positives. I like it, this seems like an interesting roleplay. I'm guessing it's more sandbox-y as in less structured, no plots led by the GMs, etc. I'm curious as to how these quests or whatever Wotw is going to help get the Door Keepers back! I think that you explained what the characters would be doing in the plot well enough that you could go ahead and re-submit.
