Hey, here is my proposed scenario for a RP story, I have edited it a bit and have added rules. I have done this to receive more suggestions from others out there, please give me a hand if you see anything that won't work well

Spoiler:
160 years before the events of Pokémon as we know the today, the regions were caught in the web of ever rising conflict…

Rival nations, Johto and Kanto, have been competing for centuries. At times the tensions have risen to the waging of wars between them. Bad economics, unscrupulous trade, spreading disease, and idea theft has been enough to spark high tensions between these two.

Recently, an unknown Pokémon (Mew) has disabled all the automated weaponry on both sides. (However machines are still usable, such as cars.) Being stranded without weapons, both countries have seen a lull in war. It has been 30 years since the last all-out war, but there is still enough mistrust within living generations to spark the fire. Moreover, the independent actions of occasional guerrilla fighter skirmishes keep tensions high.

In fear of their neighbouring country, Johto sought out a new form of protection: Pokémon.

Up until now, people lived in fear of Pokémon. They were treated like monsters. But since the invention of the Pokéball from Johto, Pokémon can now be tamed. With this they now have a new method to fight. And each side is willing to toss aside old fears to continue the battle.

Although armies were being trained, neither side was willing to make the first move. This changed when an anonymous attack was shot out. This was all that was needed to spark the enemy country’s distrust, and thus they were plunged back into a new age of war. There is some speculation that high profile individuals and companies from both regions were involved in this anonymous attack.

It it now your duty to choose to fight for Kanto or Johto, and build up your pokémon army. Choose a side and your faction (navy, air force or army) and prepare for the war of the century.

Here are my proposed rules:
Spoiler:

1- If you have any questions, PM me or post them, Ill update this first post as frequent as I get information.
2- I will be playing the role of numerous NPC's. if you need me to be a character in your group if you're having trouble to fill a team, ask me and I may be able to help you. This is only for he first couple of people because it will be too hard for me to keep up with 5 characters. I do have other commitments
3- You can choose to be able to form a team of 2-3 people,
4- Newcomers may join a team of their preference.
5- If the current team leader is becoming 'a pain,' difficult to operate under or having issues with seeing eye to eye, one or more of the following actions may be followed. Please PM me the situation, and I will accordingly recommend one of the following alternatives.
*Take a vote to change team leaders.
*Vote to 'boot' said leader and vote on a new one.
*Leave the current team and join an alternative team.
*Split from the team to form your own, taking along with you any other member that agrees with your view.
6- Legendary Pokemon aren't catchable, they're existence is hardly known in this RP and they act as 'Guardians' over Johto and Kanto. The legendaries involved are: Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Scuicoune, Celebi, Lugia, Ho-oh, Latios, Latias, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Palkia, and Diagla only. Contact me if you decide to apply legendaries into your story and I will consider it. Don't make it over complicated and you can't have multiple encounters with the 'Guardians' in short spaces of time.
7- You can intertwine your stories with other RPers, however again don't complicate things. Ask me for permission first along with a summary of what you plan to do.
8- Please be descriptive in your chapters, but not necessarily like George RR Martin.
9- Individuals who violate the rules will be dealt with depending on the severity of the case.
10- Be mature.
11- Be fair.
12- The RP is rated M.

I am open to all suggestions, the more the merrier since I am new to the whole RP scene.

Cheers
Kirky

Sounds pretty interesting :) It's unclear exactly how this will play out though. If there are Kanto and Johto teams, will they ever meet? What are they doing to take part in this? Are they fighting one another, fighting these 'high profile' people, or just being soldiers in general?

Also bear in mind that you have 6 total groups, meaning a possible 18 players? That is a lot to keep track of if they're all off doing their own thing.

Your rules are fine, but your mechanics are a bit overcomplicated. You mention a 'leader' but not their significance, and then votes and things? Sounds like lots it going on even in OOC. I think your group dynamics may be better left aside and just leaving the groups without a dedicated leader.

Perhaps a mention on mechanics of the actual pokemon? Like how to learn moves, whether they have levels, how to evolve, how often you can catch new ones, etc. That along with if you're having pokemon faint or die - as in a war-scenario the latter seems more likely?

Not a bad start to planning though ^^.

Good day, fellow roleplayers! I've been away for a while now, like almost completely since school started, but I've not been unproductive in the roleplay since! I have an idea, and it needs gauging. Perhaps you could review my general description of the land? I'll add the plot and descriptions of the various factions as soon as I have time.

"We are sentinels. We are legion. We are few. We are brave. I pledge my life to the Legion, to the brotherhood, to the defense of Orion. We will march together. We will hold the line. We will stave the darkness. We are hope. We are the last defense in a world of chaos. When all else falls, we will stand together. Brothers-In-Arms are we. Fear is unknown, a non-effective variable. We march together. We hold the line. We will hold the gates of Hell. Together we stand, and together we fall."
Oath of the Legion

The land of Orion is an odd, diverse one. One portion, known as the Crater, is a harsh desert region lying in the south, sparsely populated by xenophobic nomadic tribes and vicious reptilian creatures. There is said to be an ancient city filled with wizards and angels in the heart of the unforgiving desert.

The Mascorn Forest is a massive forest in the east. It is populated by very few people, if any, as a result of the growing numbers of dangerous animals, creatures, and insects. Many hunters have reported sites of monsters and demons...

The north is held by a single unbroken mountain: The Fetrus Peak. The mountain is inhabited by dozens of monasteries, all of which containing the most disciplined monks. They claim to live in harmony and peace, although they study martial arts to the farthest extent. Although the Fetrusian monks disagree with the theory, there are those who say a race of dwarves lives inside the mountain, and they are responsible for the ever-changing seasons of the mountain.

The west is simply a large coastal area, where the lower classes of Orion thrive. Plains, small forests, and towns ranging from hamlets to cities cover the area. The coast is where the largest cities reside. The ports of Orion are one of the greatest melting pots in the world: Sailors from all across the globe come here to do their trading.

The center of Orion is a large plain, lacking any diversity in geological features. This hold's the kingdom's capital, Kingsland. The city is a sprawl of stone buildings. There are large farming villages throughout the central region of the country. This is also where the Legion's barracks are located, although the exact location is unknown.

@Challenger hey friend, good to see you back. (It's Ray, btw :P) I have read your descriptions and have questions, feedback and suggestions to share!

First of all, just to clarify: this is not a Pokemon RP, is it? If not, are there any races us players can choose from, or is it only humans? You did mention dwarves and demons, so I suppose you are going for the high-fantasy RP here - does that include Elves and such?

I liked what you did with the Oath of the Legion. However, that raises some questions which demand answering. The Legion is a brotherhood, I get it, formed to defend Orion... from what? In their Oath, you make it seem as if they have a grand and difficult task. In that case, they must have enemies that threaten them and Orion. And I am to assume the players will be part of this Legion - could you share a bit more about them, perhaps tease what that would constitute?

I suppose the players will have to choose one of the four (or five) regions for their characters to originate from. How do each of these regions view the Legion? The setting is colorful and intriguing, and I'd like to see some lore for the locations you've mentioned, something to give it a backbone which would let us see beyond the present image of Orion, perhaps something that would help us decide whether we like that region or not. And let's talk about powers, is there any established Magic system to spice things up? I always go for the mage, as I like to explore the boundaries of each fantasy world. If there is a Magic system, make sure to set its boundaries and write them down clearly so your players will understand how it works and how to put it to use.

I've noticed a general sense of mystery in your world so far. The monks don't know about the dwarves, there are only rumors of demons hiding in the forest, there is one city supposedly and according to legend lost the south, and the exact location of the Legion's barracks is unknown (although you don't explain why). I suggest you don't go overboard with that; shape the world in a way that would offer diverse mystery, not the same kind everywhere. Maybe instead of hidden, you could make the Legion's barracks visible and mighty for the eye to behold, so mighty in fact that they appear daunting to their ambitious enemies.

Also, I suggest in a friendly manner that you change your Capital's name :P Give it some thought.

Hey guys! So I've been cooking an idea for a while that I really want to do right. To do it right it would be time consuming and complex and I want to make sure that A) there's a market for it, and B) I'm doing it the best way possible.

SU Stuff
Spoiler:
There will be six spots available. I don't like to just sit back and GM, so I'll have a character in it as well. The big allure to this RP is dragons. Taking inspiration from the Pokemon types, I'll choose several that best translate to a dragon design and offer them up as partners to human characters. There will be more than seven available so that people have plenty of choice in what they want. Instead of being able to reserve a dragon type I'm thinking about just letting everyone apply for what they want and the best SU for a specific dragon type gets it. Really good SUs that didn't get the dragon they wanted will be encouraged to try for a different dragon type. Of course, to prevent being a jerky GM I'll wait until all the players have chosen a dragon type before choosing my own from what's left. I'm thinking I'll leave SUs open for ten days, and if the spots don't fill in that time frame I'll extend it as needed. Instead of accepting characters as they get their SUs in, I'll accept the best SUs in bulk at the end of the ten day period. Does all this sound okay? Does anyone have any suggestions to make the SU process flow smoother?

Egg or Dragon?
Spoiler:
At the start of the RP the dragons won't be hatched yet. I can't decide yet if the characters will choose their own egg or if it chooses them, but this means that the character won't know what exactly they're getting until it hatches. The physical description of the dragon is not up to the player. It will all be chosen beforehand. Basic personality traits will also be provided, though the player will be in charge of playing the dragon and will be allowed to give it a personality. For instance, for a Rock-based dragon I might provide "slow, placid". The player must incorporate those traits into the personality somehow but they can do it however they wish. They could make it slow moving, mentally slow, slow in speech, etc. So should I show the sprite of the egg and offer a brief description of the egg itself, expecting players to base their decisions in their SUs off of that, or show the adult dragon?

Rough plot stuff. I know it's kinda garbled and directionless, but it's just the basic ideas thrown out there. What do you like and what do you think sounds off and unnecessary? Any suggestions on things you'd like to see, or ways to clean up what I've got?
Spoiler:
Players will begin at age twelve, when every child of every class in a fictional kingdom I have yet to design is required by law to be brought to the capitol. This is considered a cultural norm. They accept the tradition without really knowing the reason and enjoy the feast and other festivities used to lure them in. After the feast they're led into a large room with twenty pedestals with one egg on each. The children won't recognize them as dragon eggs. They're led to believe it's just some coming of age ritual as they are instructed to walk down the row of "stones", placing their hand on each one. If one of the eggs reacts to the touch of a specific child, that child is pulled aside. They will be given the task of polishing the egg. If it hatches for them, their training begins as a member of the military. I'll come up with a cool name for the dragon people, but they're the top rank in the military once they finish training. The general population knows about the dragons and sees them as regal protectors of the kingdom, and the dragon people are revered as heroes.

Unfortunately it's not that simple. The Queen is a corrupt character. She's ruled for six hundred years already, and has convinced her people that her longevity is due to her being a ruler chosen for them by the gods. They love her and think she's a kind, just Queen. She too is bonded to a dragon. One year after a dragon hatches for a human they undergo a bonding ceremony. It's actually ancient magic that binds them for all eternity. Once performed, neither can live without the other and if one dies the other dies as well. This is the main force that keeps the Queen's dragon with her. Both of them are twisted and vile at heart, yet beautiful and beloved on the surface. Each year the Queen uses her dragon's blood to concoct a potion type thing she drinks to stay young. Dragon's blood was never meant to be consumed and it causes the drinker to grow wrathful and power hungry. The Queen sends members of her guard out to conquer other countries to steal their resources, and to capture other dragons wherever they may be found. The dragon people don't know about these dark motives for their training until they're bonded and the training is complete. By then the Queen uses their dragons as leverage in keeping them in line. I'm thinking that some kind of collar is placed around the dragon's neck and at first the characters are led to believe that it's some kind of sacred ornamentation, but really it makes it so that the Queen can sap their energy away and keep them subdued. A dragon at full power would be able to take her out easily and she doesn't like that, and if the characters try to rebel she can kill their dragon and them in the process. She will have done this before.

Members of her guard with the strength, intelligence, and luck to get away have formed a secret society on another continent. They get a cool name. They work to strengthen their numbers and find a way to overthrow the Queen. At some point the players will encounter members of the society and be offered the opportunity to join them. They will have to choose whether to join them, or stay loyal to the Queen. Both choices will have rewards and consequences.

Game mechanics
Spoiler:
I'm wanting it to be a hybrid of sandbox, so players have the best opportunity to have fun with it and play with all the ideas, and chapter, so that the RP keeps flowing in a direction. Chapters will probably last ten days. The RP will take place over the course of years and years so chapters will be very important. The younger years will be sped up so that we aren't spending ten freakin years IRL getting to age twenty. I tried setting a word minimum for my current RP and really liked how that worked out, so I'll definitely be doing so here. Since players will be controlling two characters for most posts I'm thinking a 350 word minimum is fair. Based on the creativity and thought put into posts I want to have some kind of in-game rewards to offer. In Pokemon RPs that's a little easier. So any suggestions on what kind of rewards to offer? Like, should it be armor or weapons? Opportunities to do little side-quests?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

Overall I really like the story and mechanics you've got there.
The only things I feel that you need to note are

1. What a dragons capable of?
2. What is the time period? It sounds medieval, but it could be anything really.
3. What are humans capable of? It's a fantasy RP so is there magic etc, or are humans simply human? Or is there technology?
4. The plot could do with some polishing. What you've got is great, you just need to refine it.

Scrapped the last idea, and I think I've got the ultimate idea...Again. It's going to be based off of one of my favorite book series, the Edge Chronicles.

Our story takes place in a strange and mysterious land know as "The Edgeworld." The Edgeworld is home to a large variety of landscapes, flora, and fauna.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Edgeworld

Settings: I'll go more into detail later.
Santaphrax:Home of the Academics
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Sanctaphrax
Undertown: The supposed "Land of Gold" turned into a land of treachery despair
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Undertown
The Deepwoods: The vast majority of the Edgelands inhabited by both peaceful, and deadly, plants and animals.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/The_Deepwoods
The Mire: A massive, toxic desert wasteland that serves as the dumpsite for Oldtown's chemicals.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Mire
The Twilight Woods: A vast forest covered in an eternal twilight. Those lost in the forest begin to lose their sense of purpose, their identity, and sanity. Once lost in the woods, you cannot die, resulting in a sick joke of those lost.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Twilight_Woods
The Stone Gardens: Where the Santaphrax scholars retrieve the Flight-Stones necessary for flight.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Stone_Gardens

The Factions:

The Sky Pirates: The Sky Pirates are what every child fantasizes being. The majority of the Pirates believe themselves to be noble heroes, as do a lot of the Edge's citizens, despite the illegal nature of their trade. Others believe they are selfish tyrants who believe that the law is beneath them.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/Sky_Pirates

The League of Merchants: The League of Merchants are, as their name suggests, a league of merchants responsible for the organization and economy of Undertown. The League is corrupt, however, and incredibly competitive, and despises Sky Pirates, despite the fact that they may hire Sky Pirates to do their bidding.
http://theedgechronicles.wikia.com/wiki/League_of_Free_Merchants

The Scholars of Santaphrax: The Scholars of Santaphrax are the academics of the Edgeworld. There are many different colleges on the giant floating rock. The main college is the Cloud Scholarship, which mainly focuses on meteorology. The Earth Scholarship, long exiled, once studied the geography, flora, and fauna of the Edgeworld.

If I made an RP based around a Pokémon Journey, would it be popular? No doubt. But how about if I made an RP that existed as a deconstruction of the typical Pokémon Journey RP? I will decree that all characters have to be genre savvy and refer to standard tropes and clichés often used by Journey RPs? along with politely mocking the usual formula for a journey RP as well.

I intend for the RP to be humorous in tone - and maybe a bit more of a "lighter" project than we're used to here. A much more causal experience with shorter posts than we're used to (but still within PC rules) - I don't plan for it to be a big timesink one could put hours into as much as a quick bit of fun on the side.

It will simply be titled A Pokémon Journey Role-Playing Game.

That could be interesting, not really something I would go for personally, but I'd still love to see a satirical roleplay in the RPC so I could read it and see how it goes. It sounds like a really interesting project.

@Plumbum the way you're suggesting it, it sounds risky to me; it's definitely not the route I'd take when making an RP. If it's a light-hearted RP you want to make, you better be ready for it to flop. But I say this without being entirely aware of the setting, so for all I know, it could be the greatest RP in the entire world xD That being said, if I'm fond of the setting, I might join myself. It appears to be a fun project.

After Lunea, I don't want to make anything too serious in case it flops... I do have something on a much grander scale in plotting, but I don't want to release it because I bet it's going to go splat. I'll probably do so anyway when it's ready though.

As someone who mostly GMs journey RPs, I love this idea. It could apply game mechanics to the RP unneccesarily harshly and everyone needs to wake up too late and miss the regular starters like Ash did etc xD If successful, this RP could be a pearl that people would want to look back at and read through in the future.

Need any help fleshing it out? :)

Well, I'd love the help, although I'd be very sheepish in admitting I haven't exactly started... really anything on it. I have more "how I'd run it" than "what we'd do" if that makes sense.

Granted, to a degree, "Archetypical Journey RP" sort of explains itself, which is why I felt okay to put this post up without much planning at all.

I still need to make it look nice but how's this?

Title: Shadow Shards

Story: This is the Zytran region. A region full of very unique pokemon. From the big cities to the calm villages, the large forests, the cool lakes, the tall mountains and caves, to the beautiful beaches and fields, Zytran is a very beautiful place. Because of the fact that it's location is unknown to the the rest of the world, this region is the home to many unheard of Pokèmon. There are 10 villages, 20 secret areas, 30 cities, 40 areas (ex: Viridian Forest or Twist Mountain), and 50 routes.

Recently, Zytran was thrown into chaos. There is a war between the Shadow Triad and The Resistance. The Shadow Triad are trying to take over the region and find the sacred Shadow Shards. The Shadow Shards possess an unknown power according to the legends. The shards are scattered across the land, each one with a trial and a guardian protecting them. It is said that when all of the Shadow Shards are together, the Chaos Shadow Diamond is formed. Unfortunately all further information about the diamond was destroyed by the Legendary Guardian of the Chaos Shadow Diamond.

The Resistance is trying to stop the Shadow Triad and save the region. They are searching for the shards' guardians in order to discover the location of the Legendary Guardian. When they find the Legendary Guardian they plan to gain its help in defending the region. They are losing this war and the Legendary Guardian is their last hope of saving the region and possibly the only thing capable of stopping the Shadow Triad.

The Survivors are the ones that are just trying to stay alive, not supporting either side. They all are trying to find the Shadow Shards for their own special reason. The Survivors are made up of many groups, each with different intentions. They mostly stay in the wilderness to avoid conflict but will go into the cities if they need to. The Survivors are mostly rouge trainers or civilians who were forced into this situation.

The League still exists even with the war going on. They don't care about the shards, they just want to enjoy Pokèmon for as long as they can. The League consists of the Pokèmon League, Trainers, Cordinators, ect. There are 16 badges and 12 contest ribbons.

You: You are a part of one of the 5 factions (The League, The Resistance, Shadow Triad, Survivors, Civilians). Your goal is the appropriate goal of your chosen faction. May you be a part of The League, The Resistance, Shadow Triad, Survivors, or the Civilians, your ultimate goal is your choice.

Rules:
You are only allowed to use Fakemon. I recommend the ones from this page http://fakemon-creators.deviantart.com/

Don't overdo gore, and romance is allowed but keep the in bed moments private.

I will unlock areas when requested to.

Follow all PC and RP Corner rules

There are no levels in this game, evolutions and new moves will be handed out based on progress during the RP.

Attempts to catch/gain a Pokèmon are decided by me, so make it a good battle or have a good reason for the Pokèmon to join you. (I won't be harsh on your captures)

No guns. Even though there is a war, we still use Pokèmon instead of guns.

Be fair, don't make your character overly unbeatable, and never bunny another player's character without their permission.

Your story sounds very interesting and I admit I have never seen a fakemon-based RP. My major concerns at this stage though are the enormity of the region, number of gyms/ribbons and use of the Shadow Triad.

1. A region as big as this one would be impossible to hide from the rest of the world for one thing, but ignoring that there's also the consideration of keeping track of players and of timeframes in such an enormous environment. This would be hell to GM as a sandbox and insanely long if chapter-based.

2. The number of gyms and ribbon opportunities is also a problem. If you try to cram too much into an RP it becomes to complex, not only for players but also for the GM to manage.

3. My only problems with using the Shadow Triad are that there would only be three enemies (and the original triad are loyal only to Ghetsis with no motives of their own anyway) and also, how did villains from Unova discover this secret region?

Overall you've got a really interesting concept, but it needs a lot of scaling down to work. You've made the common error of trying to cram as much exciting and interesting stuff in as you can without considering the mechanics of the RP. Once you've developed your story, refined the RP and scaled down this sounds like it would be a lot of fun though. :)

The problem with Fakemon roleplays is that if people aren't familiar with the basics things can get very confusing :(. Meanwhile, for official pokemon (and regions, towns, etc) there are resources to turn to, so everyone can have one, unified vision.

The story you have is pretty interesting though - it seems a bit out of place with the pokemon theme. The idea of a magic-orientated (am I reading this right?) group trying to bring darkness through collecting powerful items is pretty high-fantasy. Maybe it would be best to drop the pokemon/fakemon all together?

1. I'll make the region smaller. (I got really excited towards the end when I made the size) I really should have thought about that.

2. I was going to suggest using notepad like things (I have a notepad app to keep track of everything I need to remember in roleplays)

3. This happens before black and white so this -> "The Shadow Triad are completely loyal to Ghetsis because he once saved their lives." <- (from bulbapedia) hasn't happened yet. Also I plan to make them originate here and be a very large clan. Since this is before black and white, I should have some freedom.

The Fakemon are a big part of the RP but I'll try to keep it traditional and not too complicated. No one knows how to use the shards and the reason The League is a faction is to keep the Pokèmon aspect alive. I'm not planning on having any shard related magic/chaos until far into the RP.

Hello. So I have had an idea for a RP: The 5 or so characters all wake up in seperate rooms of Oaks research lab, which has caught on fire thanks to a destruction bent, half mechanical black Charizard. The group finds the bodies of the Pallet town people all scatteree about the decimated town. The group begins to form an uneasy alliance as they can't remember the last 72 hours. Basically they venture through the ruins of Kanto as they try and escape Mecha-Charizard and recall what happened to bring them all to Pallet town in the first place... anyway If this were to be a thing would you join?

Edit: They would be in an apocalypse setting, so its more Final fantasy with Pokemon monsters and places. I havent decided wheather they can have Pokemon allies or not... They will fight with make-shift weapons they find/craft.

Rough concept, would like to hear opinions.
Spoiler:

Title: Souls V
Setting: The world is Earth, specifically in the heavily wooded area known in our world as New England. The time is equivalent to now, though technology has taken a vastly different path. In some ways, it is more advanced, such as the abundance of mechanical human enhancements along with advanced weaponry, and in other ways it is behind, such as in astronomy and environmental sciences. There is no government, at least on a large scale, as demons regularly hunt humans and enjoy large and populated areas. The cities that do exist are generally without leaders, and are protected by higher demons for use as breeding grounds for more food. Nomad groups, villages, and organizations exist, but they are not common at all.

Demons come in two forms, feral and higher. Feral demons mindlessly hunt down humans for souls with little care for what they eat. Higher demons prefer to eat certain types of souls (cowardly, heroic, suffering, etc.) and are fully intelligent. Both types of demons get stronger when eating souls, and it is common for feral demons to fall under the command of a higher demon. Higher demons can consume the souls of other higher demons in order to gain their strength, this is one of the three ways they can die. Feral demons are killed by destroying their weak spots, but they will rematerialize in the demon world, just to find their way back into the human world. Feral demons are a common source of meat by some humans.

Humans are physically weaker than demons, and it is very rare for them to possess powers of light. Humans do have the ingenuity and intelligence to build weapons to deal with feral demons though, and groups are able to survive by hiding or making pacts of safety with higher demons. These pacts are similar to loans, in that the demon will protect you for a predetermined amount of time and then he will be allowed to consume it. The pacts can vary by demon, but the general idea is to consume “mature” souls.

Story: Five hundred years ago, a war between humans and demons was waged. For fifty years humans struggled, and then, a hero of light came forward. This hero embodied pure holiness and was the bane of all demons. He turned the war around, giving humans land back and giving plenty of hope to humanity. Unfortunately this hero of light was defeated by a demon named Carreau and his soul was eaten, and soon after, humanity fell.

Today, the hero of light is merely a legend, and all humans simply see the world as all there is or ever will be. The demon that defeated the hero is no longer a demon, rather he is half demon and half human. He acts as a demon for hire that kills other demons in exchange for sacrifices. He travels with a young cannibalistic human woman named Makaria who has heavy mechanical modifications to her body and carries his heart. Both are generally respected by demons and humans, though they are not feared due to being the truest of neutrals.

You: There are 5 human players and this is a story based RP. The five of you make up a group of demon hunters. You all come from the same village, one that was destroyed by human cultists. The five of you, as small children, were captured and sacrificed, having your heart removed and your body left in the wilds for feral demons. Luckily, the demon Carreau witnessed the whole ordeal and took pity on you. He slayed five feral demons and transferred their hearts into your body, giving you life and unique abilities, including the ability to kill higher demons. Unfortunately, your power comes with a price. Using your powers for too long can make you demonic and insane, and your powers weaken if you don’t consume humans.

Although your personalities, and reasons for fighting differ, the five of you have come together to fight demons and cultists. Carreau did not raise you, after reviving you, he left you to fend for yourselfs. Some of you probably went off on your own at some point, though you all always come back together, as you five have a strong connection with each other (for better or for worse).

Rules:
-No bunnying
-No sex
-Don’t be too graphic
-Follow the story. If you are off doing your own thing when it progresses, I will assume that your character is with the group.
-Your character knows little about the past, records of the war are not easy to find.
-Carreau and Makaria are not controllable characters. Other NPCs are fine, unless otherwise stated.
-Fighting between player characters is not supposed to happen. I expect it to happen though, and expect the players to do so in a joint post.

Notes
-I’ll issue out missions, and general goals. This will be the main objective for each (insert consistent amount of time (probably weekly/bimonthly).
-Death is common, revival comes from eating another human’s soul. One soul can be carried at any given time.
- Combat will be directed. I will issue out a number of enemies, and it will be up to you guys in the OOC thread to figure out how to split up.
-It would be nice for you to write in first person. I want You to be the character, though the character does not have to be you. This is not required, but I would prefer it because…
-You should act as your character in the OOC thread (I know what OOC means, but this is now the nickname). The OOC thread will act as the mental link between characters, meaning you are in each other’s head discussing. This will happen after the RP starts, before it starts, you will act as if it is a normal OOC thread.

OOC threads are still important, I think - an RP can't really operate without one, unless you provide a link to a group pad or skype chat or whatever. If I were you, I'd probably include another, um... double-OOC thread? OOCOOC thread? Whatever works, but regardless, it'll be really tough to operate without some method of discussing concerns about the RP itself - which you can't really do in-character without serious damage to the fourth wall.

So... I've posted this before but nobody ever actually commented.
In the spoiler below is a chunk of a pokemon/Btooom crossover RP that I wrote up and am hoping to post in the next little while. Thoughts? Critiques?

Spoiler:
CONDEMNED
A Pokemon Survival RP

“This is a game of survival. You are prey and everyone standing around you is a predator. Your life is on the line whether you like it or not and you are the one responsible for your own fate.”

You are a notable, famous, experienced or otherwise talented pokemon trainer from any of the regions around the world. Life was probably pretty good for you up until now with you reaping the benefits of success. Everything changed though, with what seemed like a golden opportunity. One day – a day that would have seemed like any other up until then – you received an invitation to a tournament hosted on a privately owned island.

Dear Trainer

The Axis Corporation has recently become aware of your talents and we would like to extend to you an opportunity to take part in our first annual Axis Cooperation Challenge – a tournament involving some of the top battlers from around the globe.

The winner of this tournament will have the opportunity to earn an incredible cash prize of $300 000 as well as the opportunity to enter the Axis League professional battling circuit. If you wish to register to compete please return this email as soon as possible. Once registered please make your way to Mistralton City in the Unova region where you will be able to board our private jet for Challenge Island
.

The Axis Corporation is the company responsible for running the international pro-battling circuit known as the Axis League. The newer of two international circuits the league has drawn wide attention soaring to immense popularity under the careful guidance of the executive of Axis’ executive committee. They are last people you would expect to be behind any sort of devious plot, so of course you took the opportunity and made your way to Mistralton City. Little did you know what lay ahead…

As you neared the island, you suddenly found yourself and every other person on the plane forced into the cargo hold, men in expensive suits pointing expensive guns at you. Your pokemon were taken from you and so were any communication devices. In return you were provided with a pokeball containing a new pokemon, five empty pokeballs of a specific type and a mysterious arm band that once put onto your arm would not remove itself a sharp barb digging into your skin.

The Tournament

In the moments following this bizarre and frightening turn of events, a screen would illuminate displaying a well-dressed man in his early fifties - the CEO of the Axis Corporation, Elron Windslow. It was then that the rules were explained.

Yes rules, for despite its malicious nature you are still required to compete with one another – no longer for a reward but for your life. The rules of the tournament are simple
1. If you are defeated in battle you collect the opponents arm band. Each armband automatically reacts to anything it perceives as a loss. If you lose when down to your last arm band, it will inject you with a lethal toxin before releasing itself from your corpse. The bands also release should you die through other means such as an ambush by an enemy or an attack by a wild pokemon. You win when you have collected seven additional arm bands making a total of eight. Should you try to escape, your armbands will administer the injection.
2. You do not compete with your original team, but rather a “starter” is provided to you as well as pokeballs. Each person is able to have six pokemon with them at a time (if you are carrying more than six filled pokeballs your armbands will inject). You can use your empty pokeballs to catch wild pokemon, or steal trained pokemon from the corpses of fallen opponents. How you obtain your team members matters very little so long as you don’t have more than six on your team.
3. To begin with you will be given five empty pokeballs of a specific type (listed later on). These will likely influence the pokemon you can catch at first. As the tournament progresses you will have the chance to take pokeballs from defeated foe, or collect them at times, expanding your collection and making it easier to capture a balanced team.
4. You are welcome to form alliances if you wish.
5. Supplies are frequently parachute-dropped from the sky in sturdy cases. They may contain pokeballs, food/water, clothing and other useful items. If you cannot succeed in securing a supply case you will be forced to live off of anything you brought (probably not much) and what the island itself supplies.

I haven't posted the rules or SU sections, or the types of pokeball available. I will however do so if you ask me to.

I came up with this in 2-3 hours, what do you think?

Title: The Kakizari University

Story: One day new experimental school called "The Kakizari University" was created in Tokyo. The school was made to test the effectiveness of having all grades in one big school. The school was built like a very large university with a giant fence around it. They separated K-5, 6-8, 9-12, and the college years into different buildings. K-5 are on the west side of the school, 6-8 are on the east side of the school, 9-12 are on the south side of the school, and the highers are on the north side of the school.

The dorms are in the middle of the school grounds, separated into 4 buildings with K-5 west, 6-8 east, 9-12 south, and the highers north. The playground is behind the K-5 building. The staff building is behind the 9-12 building, in front of the entrance. The cafeteria is in the southeast part of the school closer to the middle of the school. The garden is in the northeast corner of the school. The arcade is in the southwest part of the school. The gym is behind the highers building. The library is in the northwest corner of the school.

The students are generally apart of the 5 social classes. The Rebels hang out at the arcade. The Jocks hang out at the gym. The Nerds hang out at the library. The Popular people hang out at the cafeteria. The Loners hang out around the garden. Those who don't join the social classes often stay at the dorms.

You: You are a member of this school. You work here or are a student here. Whether you are a Rebel, Jock, Nerd, Popular, Loner, or neither, you make your own story. Everyone's decisions decide how this school year turns out.

Welcome to The Kakizari University!

Rules:
PC and RP Corner rules apply.

You can do pretty much whenever you want, but don't go overboard.

You can go wherever you want, but if you leave the city notify me first.

Don't kill other players (NPCs are fair game), assault is allowed as long as there isn't permanent damage without permission.

I also came up with this as an idea to RP.

Title: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

Story:
The Phantom Menace

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Turmoil has engulfed the
Galactic Republic. The taxation
of trade routes to outlying star
systems is in dispute.

Hoping to resolve the matter
with a blockade of deadly
battleships, the greedy Trade
Federation has stopped all
shipping to the small planet
of Naboo.

While the Congress of the
Republic endlessly debates
this alarming chain of events,
the Supreme Chancellor has
secretly dispatched two Jedi
Knights, the guardians of
peace and justice in the
galaxy, to settle the conflict.

Meanwhile.....

You: You are a part of the 3 factions of the war. The Light Side (Good), Neutral, The Dark Side (Evil). Your goal is the goal of your chosen faction but you might have your own personal goal within your faction. Whether you work alone or in a team, you have a part to play in this war.

Rules:
Follow all PC and RP Corner rules.

Low amount of gore (Star Wars has little to no gore)

Don't kill another player without permission.

You can change factions, make it an acceptable change.

Be fair, don't make your character overly unbeatable, and never bunny another player's character without their permission.

To keep track of everything I recommend a notepad app (but use whatever you are comfortable with)
FOOL. YOU CANNOT KILL WHAT IS ALREADY UNDEAD. "My mistake..."
