Do you often find yourself doing favours for other people? Or are you the type of person that doesn't feel inclined to help another individual?

To be honest, I posted this thread after realizing that I find myself saying 'yes' to basically everything my friends ask me ;___; Just finished editing my friend's journal entries for her course and because she's from Hong Kong, her English tends to be mistake-prone...I have absolutely no problems with helping others if I'm able to, but I should probably give myself limits and start saying 'no' once in a while.

Yes! Always. For my friends, I might look like some kind of favour-specialist-for hire, only that I don't really ask for anything in return.
I do enjoy helping my friends in any way I can, from dispensing advice for hours to helping them in something that is in need of manual labour, and I can freely admit I also do it for my ego. It's a 50-50.

I don't think you should say no! Not unless you enjoy helping others.

I always do favors for people when I'm asked, whether it be a friend or some random stranger. I just have a hard time saying no, because I just end up feeling guilty at the end whenever I do, for some reason. x_x" Only time you'd not see me doing them is when I'm extremely occupied.

Ugh, I'm doing favors for my mother all the time. -_- and whenever I ask her to do me a favor, she declines, and if I don't do her a favor, she'll yell at me smh

it depends what kind of a favor it is (how much time/effort is required) but if that person is a good friend i will most likely do it for them without expecting anything in return.

if it's just an acquaintance, I will probably do it, but will expect them to repay the favor

Walking down the path I know. Banning Pokémon just because you don't know how to beat them is just plain wrong. It's like banning alcohol because it makes ugly people pretty.

I'll do favors a lot. It's hard for me to say no, so I'll most likely help out. It's not like I've got anything better to do anyway. Even if I do, I'll jut decline. So, I like helping out, but only if I have the time.

I once helped one of my friend's mom by reading a paper for her, since she's going to college, and helping her out with it.

It depends on the request, if they're being lazy and just can't be bothered to do it, then I'll decline. If it's something that does require help, then I'll of course help them out. I also have a strict, not getting involved in your buisness policy. If the favour involves me getting into a lovers quarrel, or going over somewhere to cause trouble, count me out.

I only do favors form my close friends that I'm positive would do something for me in return if ever needed. It's a hassle trying to be nice to certian people only to have them crap on you later after you've done something for them.

I help my friends as often as I can. I'm also the one asking if they need help/offering help, it's not like they ask me. I dunno why I do it, it just makes me feel good :S
Same! This one time my friend and I went from one city to another for shopping and a school tour during the day then went back to school at night (long 4 hours of driving for me...). Then he was beating around the bush trying to ask me for a ride back to hometown XD I could tell he was scared to ask me for anything because he feels I already drive him around enough as it is, but with him, I find myself being the one asking whether he needs anything (: It's a satisfying feeling.

I help my friends when I can. But if its too much for me to handle or if its something I'm not good with then I'll kindly decline and only feel a little guilty haha.
But I always try to be nice to my friends and if they need help or need to talk to somebody about something or need cheering up, I'll do what I can for them.
