Hi there. I'm Aerial Ace, also known as Nick. I'm 21 years old and am currently studying Computer Science in college. I'm not sure what I want to do with the rest of my life, and I'm trying to figure out who I am along the way.

Music is important to me. My favorite artists include the following: Bastille, Beach Fossils, Bon Iver, Bright Eyes, CHVRCHES, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Florence + the Machine, Foster the People, Friendly Fires, Funeral Suits, Generationals, Grouplove, Imagine Dragons, Kodaline, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Matt & Kim, MGMT, Mumford & Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Passion Pit, Phoenix, Real Estate, San Cisco, Santigold, Sleigh Bells, Summer Camp, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, The Decemberists, The Ting Tings, tUnE-yArDs, Two Door Cinema Club, Vampire Weekend, Washed Out, Wild Nothing, Young the Giant

Some important things that you should know about me?

- Minimalist.
- I'm a Mac.
- Team iPhone.
- ENFP.
- I'm actually really laid back and have a go with the flow attitude. I don't make a big deal out of most things, and I don't take things very seriously. I also tend to take things that should be taken seriously unusually lightly.
- It takes a lot of time for me to open up to someone and let them see my personality. This makes me very socially awkward.
- I'm sarcastic. I have a pretty dry sense of humor and enjoy dark jokes. I make inappropriate jokes and remarks a lot of the time, which aren't meant to be taken seriously.
- I'm a little reckless, because most of what I say or do are done on a whim.
- Pantheism.
- Philosophy, Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology are my favorite things to study (so far) and talk about.
- Graphic Design, Writing, Web Design, and Programming are my favorite things to do.
- I reserve negative judgements of other people. It takes a lot for me to pass a judgement on someone. If I say something about someone, it's almost always a remark or observation, rather than a passing judgment. That said, I do have some negative judgements of some people.
- At the end of the day, I think very highly of myself.
- I overthink everything.
- I'm a prude, despite whatever impression I give off. I don't like talking about sex or sexual natures unless I'm in the mood for that kind of discussion (in which case, I'll yack all day). If I'm hanging out with someone and they bring up the fact that someone has a nice butt, I immediately get uncomfortable and leave or try to steer the conversation in a different direction.
- I'm pretty matter-of-fact in social interactions.
- Humanism.
- I forgive people way too easily.
- I'm indifferent to most people. If I gravitate toward (approach) you, and start a conversation with you, then it means I like you.
- I'm a vegetarian. I don't think less of people who eat meat (eat whatever you want), but I think more of you if you refrain from it.
- I retreat from the world a lot. There are days where I don't really talk to anyone, and when those days come, I try not to make a big deal about it.
- One of the things I absolutely don't like doing is hurting people's feelings. I try to avoid it at all costs, and even if I get into a heated argument with someone, I'll almost always feel bad afterwards for something I said.
- I'm very forgetful.
- I'm easily distracted.
- I think people are very over-sensitive and make issues out of things that don't need to be made a big deal about. I think people need to lighten up.
- I lose interest (and ultimately motivation) quickly in things that are important to me. This includes people.
- I care little about things that I'm not interested in.
- I'm honest with my faults.
- I'm unapologetic about things that make me up.

Thanks for the links on ENFP and pantheism, although I didn't notice they were links until after I looked them up haha.

Favorite Passion Pit song?

Are philosophy, anthro, etc., things you wish to pursue further for like a career, or are you focusing more on CompSci?

My favorite songs are Make Light, Little Secrets, Moth's Wings, Sleepyhead, Let Your Love Grow Tall, and Carried Away. I can't decide what my absolute favorite is, but I could listen to those few songs all day on repeat.

I'm trying to decide. I really enjoy those classes, but I'm not sure how I will make a career out of them.

Where do you stand on PC these days? Since your resignation from staff you've come and gone quite a bit. How are you feeling now?

I love PC. PC means so, so much to me. It's where I spent so much of my life, and where I formed so many lasting friendships and met so many people who have helped me become the person I am today. I resent it from time to time, but it has nothing to do with PC. It has to do with me. There are so many things I put aside because I would have rather been here, and I look back at them every now and then and regret the choices I made.

Its also no secret (especially among the staff members) that a lot of the people here irritate me to no end. Part of that's because the fact that people seem so vanilla, and part of that's because some of the things people say just make me feel like I'm losing brain cells. I mean, there are some really, really stupid posts that pop up here. Sometimes I let that affect me too much, because I look at a lot of the member base now and sit back and wonder why the people who were around when I was first starting out here aren't here anymore, because I enjoyed those people a lot more. I let my feelings of the member base affect how I feel a lot of the time about PC, but at the end of the day, PC is still an important part of my life.

PC is also my go-to cure for boredom. If I'm at home and don't have anything to do, I come here and hope that there's somewhere new to post.

I signed up for the marching band in 8th grade, a year before high school started. So I kind of experienced high school before others. In a way.
Freshman year, nothing happened.
Sophomore year, I withdrew for home instruction because of some traumatic incidents (not really involving other people in my school). Mom died.
Junior year I came back and wished I didn't do what I did sophomore year and stayed in class, because I had a lot of credits I needed to make up.
Senior year, opted to take some college level courses and got to leave school early to do so.

Overall, I enjoyed my high school experience, but it was by no means the best years of my life and I'm pretty indifferent towards it.

Do you think traumatic events make us stronger or weaker? What did it do for you?

What do you think of social anxiety?

Does an interest in Philosophy, Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology make a girl attractive to you?

It weakens your heart, but strengthens your soul (and mind).

I think its something very real in every one of us. We're all concerned about the way we're perceived by others, whether we like to admit it or not. We're human beings, we like being liked. We don't all go out of our way to be liked, but all those without any psychological conditions would prefer to be liked over disliked.

Discussing those things with someone does make me swoon. I have a small crush on a girl I work with (she's taken baahhh), and we talk about those a lot, and every time we do, I feel that crush developing more and more. So I'm going to say yes. But it also makes other people more attractive to me (not in romantic attraction way, though: I need some physical interest in her as well to have that inclination) and gives me more of a desire to befriend them and get to know them.
