I've never actually tried soda with caffeine in it. This is becuase I am a completely normal Snorlax being that needs sleep.
Ask a question, or make a suggestion of what I can do on http://thefattestsnorlax.tumblr.com/

Way back in the day, the main soda that used to be in our household was caffeine free Pepsi.. but that was a long time ago, and nowadays it's regular ol Coca Cola in my house.

So I can assume that caffeine is giving you radiation sickness and brain cancer? :3

Soda makes me fat, and I've been drinking a lot of it as of recent… you can imagine where that puts me. D:

I just need to run at the gym. It's something I love doing, and it gets my heartrate up and burns fat like Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day, so… win-win? :DDD

Ever since I came home from college and started working at Dunkin Donuts, I've lost 16 lbs....how does that make any sense?

And for the record, I'm 5 ft 9 in, 152 lbs 20 years male.

It doesn't.

I loved Dunkin' Donuts. Donuts is definitely one of the things I miss eating the most. Most of the tasty stuff has gluten, milk or both. D:

Dude that sucks mate, I'm sorry to hear that /:

Dunkin Donuts is really wasteful though. Every night they throw away all of their excessive food - donuts, bagels, etc. - without a second thought. Even though it's fattening, I feel like the extra food could be donated or something along those lines; better eaten then thrown away, as I say.

I agree. Unfortunately most big food companies like Dunkin' Donuts feel that donating/giving away food depreciates its value. It could help a lot of people, but alas everything's about the business for them. :/

most companies are wasteful. not just food companies.

i worked at a warehouse. at the warehouse we had at least a 1 billion dollar inventory.
we were shutting down.
we were throwing so many good products out.
they were going in the trash.
they were perfectly good products getting thrown out.
they were perfectly good EXPENSIVE products getting thrown out.
in the trash.
not in a dumpster to be brought somewhere where they could be used.
they were getting thrown out.

i was furious.

That graph made me so outraged.

Why the hell is society so selfish and stupid?

It's disgusting to me that so much goes to waste, when it could be given to people who need it. Or just given to anyone, instead of being thrown out.

there's a floating, rhythmic sensation
when it rains the city lights mirror back

I'd like to add some skepticism and ask what the circumstances behind the waste are. Is most of the food perfectly good or is it rotten and expired and therefore unfit for consumption? If it is the former, then yes, people suck. If it is the latter, then it's slightly more understandable. After all, food does go bad.

Also, Aeroblast, please don't lie. That pun was totally intended.

I stopped taking that "info"graphic seriously the second I saw it saying that the UK uses euros.

There's other statistics out there with greater credibility that will tell you the same thing, if not worse.

Is it weird that I take news on Reddit more seriously than the farts at the old media?

I'd hope so, haha. There's so much wrong with that infographic up there and I hate how easily mislead people are by them. It doesn't help that they're so nice to look at and easy to read when their content's horribly sourced and likely inaccurate. ): Not that food wastage is a good thing at all though, haha.

That said I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO IT. 8D Because I eat way too little.
I honestly don't eat all that much either and I usually finish off what I do eat.

But to be frank, I really don't care all that much about food waste. Having little waste is simply nothing more than a byproduct of my lifestyle choices. My college is obsessed with sustainability and earth day and nature and the environment and meatless mondays and blah blah blah and there's only so much of it a guy can take before it stops being informative and jumps right into obnoxiousness.

George Carlin is an absolute genius, I'm glad someone else is a fan. His comedy is great as he likes to challenge the norms of society. My personal favorites of his are his bits about the Ten Commandments and Baseball vs. Football. If you get the time definitely check those out, or any of his material really. He's one hell of a funny guy.

My favorite part has always been 2:30 and on in that video. He's just a great, great man.

A key to satire is challenging social norms. What Carlin did was take that to a whole new level, and decided to be blatant and frontal with what is terribly wrong with society, while maintaining a joking atmosphere at times and a serious atmosphere at others. The sorts of things he comments on are beyond the rubbish of other showbusinessmen.

I don't think I'd be as enlightened as I am without seeing It's Bad For Ya on DVD in 2008, right after he died. Look at how big his head is!

I've seen that one before. One of his better segments

However, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I used to think George Carlin was very insightful when I was younger, but as I got older I realized that as Carlin got older, he became more bitter and more full of himself. He did what many comedians do eventually: turn his stage act into a soapbox. Don't get me wrong, some of his opinions I agree with, but the problem is when you try to combine it with the vulgar/crossing the line humor that he was known for, it sometimes just came off as obnoxious.

One difference being the content of what Carlin's caliber of soapbox is versus that of, say, Jerry Seinfeld or Richard Pryor. Don't you think his insight was useful nonetheless?
