Okay, so apparently these questions and answers threads are becoming popular and I think I've made my presence here known enough that I'll get at lease a few people to ask me whatever about myself. Some basic background information.

- My real name is Tyler
- I live in the United States in California, specifically Monterey
- My favorite thing about Pokemon is Pokemon Special (although I haven't read it in a while)
- My favorite genre of music is Metal, but I'll occasionally listen to other things as well.
- I have two cats, whom I love to death
- I'm 23 years old as of this writing
- I study Biology at California State University Monterey Bay

There's probably a few other things about myself I can put here, but I'll leave that to the questioning.

So go ahead, ask away.

Hi!

What's the last Pokemon game you played?

Who's your favorite political and/or social philosopher?

If you had to live anywhere besides the current city you live in, where would it be?

Do you have pictures of you cats? :D

Mostly thanks to a few friends of mine, one of which is anarcho-capitalist. I used to consider myself liberal, but I decided I didn't really like the idea of controlling people's money or how they live, even if they could stand to spread it around some more. What really appealed to me about libertarianism was the concepts surrounding it, mainly leave people alone and let them decide what they want to do with their own life. I found myself sympathizing with a lot of the fews of Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman. I decided that people's money and their lives were there own and they alone were responsible for what to do with them.

What appealed to me about libertarianism was that it was like modern American Liberalism socially, but fiscally it was not as controlling about what you do with what is yours.

That said, I wouldn't consider myself hard-core. There's still a lot of stuff about politics and philosophy that I'm still undecided on, even some of the views of the aformentioned Rand and Friedman, and my views are subject to change based on what I learn.

One other philosophy that particularly interests me is principlism: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principlism

I especially like it's rules of respecting autonomy, but also benevolence and nonmaleficence

- Pokemon XY were the last Pokemon games I played. I don't know why, but for some reason I just couldn't enjoy them as much as other games. I felt the post-game content was kind of lacking and that they didn't develop your friends as much as I hoped. Still a good game, though.

- Probably my friends who are interested in politics. I sadly don't have much time to read many works by famous political philosophers and such, but I have been having my eyes on the works of Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman for some time. I do however read bits and pieces of their views whenever I can and I usually find myself clicking with them.

- I'd probably live in Amsterdam. My parents were there recently and it looked like a fun place. Plus, I'm of Dutch heritage and I've always wanted to visit Holland.

- Not at the moment, no, but I'll post some in my blog when I get the chace.

That's not an easy question for me to answer. I would say that I respect the individual, but also respect group efforts. The least I can answer right now is that I believe if the individual is strengthened in the pursuit of his own goals, he can contribute more whenever group effort is required.

More personally, I tend to do things myself, but when I do have to do group work, I try to apply all my skills to make it work.

I don't know, as a science major, I'm torn between the merits of individualism vs collectivism.

How did you get interested in politics?

What's your history with Pokemon?

What else have you learned about the Ukraine situation?

Do you have any specialty within biology?

Do you have any black friends (in real life)?

- I suppose it happened with my high school politics class. It pretty much got me started on it. Truth be told though, I only sparingly pay attention to politics because I'm usually to tired after school and work to care too much. But I like reading politically centered topics on sites like this one and that's usually what gets me started reading up and catching up on the news and everything.

- I've played Pokemon since Red and Blue first came to the United States, but before that I was watching the Pokemon anime when it first aired in the U.S. There was just something so unique about it that set it apart from other shows I was watching at the time and between it and Dragonball Z, but interest in anime began.

- A friend of mine summed it up for me: "The people in Ukraine wanted to join the EU. Their president wanted to stay with Russia so the people revolted and he ran away. Now Putin wants to invade to "stabilize" Ukraine - absorb it into Russia." That's the summary I've been given so far. Other things I've been given range from "Russia not being bankrupt anymore so it wants old USSR territory back" to "Neo-Nazism."

- I used to concentrate on marine biology because I was interested in sharks (part of the inspiration behind my username, by the way) and other marine creatures. Spending too much time in college, however, I'm now focused on general biology, partially because I think being more broad will make me slightly more marketable and less niche.

- I have a black roommate. We don't talk much, but we don't fight either. However, I do talk to some black people who happen to be in my anime club. It's not that I don't like black people, it's just that most of the people who usually end up talking to me enough for me to consider them a friend are usually non-black. It's weird.

Hello there! So here are a few questions:

Your avatar shows Darth Vader rocking an awesome guitar: Are you a big star wars fan?

Whats your favorite Pokemon and why?

- I remain a big fan of the original trilogy. I used to be a fan of the prequels, but after watching Plinkett's reviews, I began to see how they paled in comparison to the classics.

- Probably Charizard because it was one of my favorites since childhood.

- Canada because I want to see firsthand what makes it such a supposed utopia (according to Canadians, XD). Holland because I'm of Dutch heritage. Germany because ♥♥♥♥ing Germans, man. Japan because of anime and video games. United Kingdom because I just have to before I die. Within the United States, anywhere on the East Coast because I've never been, especially New York.

Definitely visit the UK if you get the chance, I was able to a few years ago and it was absolutely bloody brilliant.

What is your opinion on Star Wars Attack of The Clones, as that movie always seems to get a bad rap.

Who is your favorite character from Dragon Ball Z (mine has always been Master Roshi)?

Can you explain the significance behind your username? Don't quite understand it.

Have you been to any metal concerts/participated in "The Wall of Death?" xD

Looking forward to your answers, mate!

- I think it's definitely the worst of the prequels. A lot of people like to give that label to the Phantom Menace, but at least the Phantom Menace doesn't have woody, awkwardly written love scenes with cheesy romance music.

- Probably Vegeta. He so amusingly cocky and arrogant most of the time, but I also love his character development. Just watch his fight with Android 19. It's impossible to not find the guy at least a little badass.

- CarcharOdin is an amalgamation of the genus Carcharodon (great white shark) and Odin, the Norse God of war, battle, victory and death, wisdom, Shamanism, magic, poetry, prophecy, and the hunt. It's so ♥♥♥♥ing badass, I'm so glad I thought of it.

- I've been planning to go to concerts for some time, but I hardly have enough time or money to go. I did, however, go to a school concert for bands in my college. Most of them unfortunately were not metal (one musician even stuck his thumb out when giving the horns, which makes him a cloyster), but the one band there that kicked ass was a hardcore punk band, introducing me a little to that genre. However, Santa Cruz is an our away from where I live and The Catalyst puts on metal shows every once in a while, so I may start going soon.

Those are some really cool choices!!

Here a few new questions:

1) If you would turn into an Animal, which one would you chose and why?

2) You can pick to live in any century/era/year you like, which would it be?

3) If you could only eat Pizza for the rest of your life, and always the same topping, which would you chose?

1) I would turn into a shark or a cat. Sharks because they're badass and strike fear into the hearts of man. Cats for the same reason.

2) Probably the 1970's or 1980's because of the rock n' roll.

3) Hot peppers would always be on my Pizza.
