I think i would go with Normal. Just because it has no special strength or weaknesses and is the "least special" type out of the bunch. It would also be very interesting to see how the huge number of normal types would be re-typed. If i had to pick a 2nd one it would be Grass...just because its my least favorite

If I had to get rid of a type, I'd go with either Ghost or Ice. I love using both of them, but they're some of the rarer types with less than 40 Pokemon each, so they'd be the easiest to re-type. And I wouldn't expect it to be that difficult either, as there are only 9 pure-Ghost types, and they could turn them into either Dark or Psychic types. As for Ice, a lot of them could be re-typed as Water types (if they aren't already), and you could just turn any existing Ice type moves to Water as well.

Uh, tough one.

Fighting or Normal.

Tackle, body slam, mega punch, mega kick, mach punch, triple kick, karate chop, they all sound the same to me. Perhaps normal pokemon just lack finesse, but still a fighting pokemon using a normal attack will still be normal. Though two similar punches affect different pokemon types differently.

Maybe take half of the normals and make them cute fairies, full flying types, and fighting types.

Though, I'd rather keep it the way it is ;)

Probably Rock, as a lot of Rock-types could potentially be reclassified as Ground-types. Though The Dark Avenger has a good point about Normal and Fighting-types as well.

Getting rid of Ice gives Dragons and Grass Pokemon an advantage because, not only will they have one less type to deal with, but they can deal with Water Types more efficiently. Water types rely on Ice moves such as Ice Beam to fend of Grass Types.
Ghost has a special kink to it. It is immune to Normal and Fighting attacks, something that would be lost upon retyping. Furthermore, a lot of the ghost moves don't really fit into any other category.
If I had to choose a type to get rid of, Rock would be the best bet. It pretty much serves no other purpose other than to be a "hard type". Pokemon of the Rock type could easily be retyped as either Ground or Steel.

Steel, rock, normal, and dragon.

Yes, dragon, because I find them really annoying. :P They're stronger than every other type yet they're not always legendaries, it just kind of seems unfair and it's a pain battling them because they don't have that many weaknesses either.
It'd make more sense if dragon types were only legendaries.

Normal and/or bug. Normal because of obvious reasons. Also bug because, well, why would Dark types have a problem with Bug types, and that doesn't make too much sense for me so, just change them to grass types.

There should be a signature here somewhere.
I wonder where it's gone.

The Normal type. It's got no strengths, a weakness, and an immunity that doesn't make sense. It's like a type created to take up space. None of its moves hit super effectively, nor does it resist any types. The only good thing about the Normal type is that most of them have crazy movepools.

At first, I thought of either Rock or Ground. Those types are similar enough for one of them to get removed, and all the Pokemon who were in the removed type could easily be retyped to the other type. Although, it doesn't really seem right to me to see Geodude as a pure ground type or Earthquake as a rock type move, well, because it isn't right. Realizing that, I have decided on my choice that the type to be removed could be the Normal type. Moves like Belly Drum and Body Slam could probably pass off as Fighting. Whitney could easily convert to a Fairy type specialist, probably Fighting for Norman and I'm not sure for Lenora. Kecleon could have been a Grass type. Assist and Metronome could probably be Psychic? But seeing as it is considered the "default" sort of type (I've read it somewhere and I really like that fact), it could cause changes to the PokeWorld itself. However, majority of the type would still be safe so we just need to think of the types and Pokemon that don't fit in any other category. So, I think that the Normal type would be removed if I were to pick.
