In Kalos league, our gym leaders consist of Viola, Grant, Korrina, Ramos, Clemont, Valerie, Olympia, and Wulfric, who respective specialize in bug, rock, fighting, grass, electric, fairy, psychic, and ice. Of them all, which would be your personal favorite and why? Which leader did you have the hardest time defeating? Why were they so tough to you? Also, if you were to change the typing of either of these leaders, which would you choose and what would you change it to? o:

I liked Ramos the more mainly because he was a Ranger Old Guy. Also the fact that he uses Grass types, which is my favorite type. None of the Gym Leaders were really difficult to me but if I had to choose which one gave me the most trouble it would be Valerie due to Mawile's fairy-steel typing against my Skrelp and Klefki. I wouldn't really want to change their typing because their design is normally based off that selected type.

I like Viola's upbeat personality and the fact that she's a female bug-type user. Valerie's a weirdo, but a damned pretty one, and I like the Fairy type.

The toughest fight for me was actually Clemont. His 'mons have some decent coverage, and electric types almost always outspeed whatever I have.

I also decided to purposefully go underlevel that playthrough, just to up the challenge a bit.

My favorite was definitely Valerie. I usually only 'like' a gym leader based on their character design and name - which was why I liked Erika, the name is pretty and she was a neat character. But I also really liked the addition of fairy types, so it's only natural that I liked the gym leader to specialize in them, haha.

It was so long ago that I don't remember if any of them were particularly difficult. None of them really stand out to me, aside from disliking the gimmicky gym setups. (Seriously? A rock-climbing wall? I just want to battle and get out, I don't have time for this.)
I usually have trouble with the electric type gyms.. I did in 3rd and 5th gen, anyway, just for lack of type match-ups because I never use Ground. So I'll just presume that if any were difficult, it was that one.

None of them were difficult for me first time I played through X, mostly because of the Exp. Share and how high leveled I was.

But my favorite overall was Clemont. His personality was neat, and he was the only one that battling wasn't a total snoozefest (except MAYBE Grant). THE FUTURE IS NOW! Even in later playthroughs I still have quite a bit of fun battling him.

I liked the fairy type gym just because it was something new for me and I found it interesting, though not hard to beat with my venusaur :)

It has been a while since I challenged the Gym Leaders. None of them stood out when it came to personality, except for maybe Clemont. The Gyms were tedious, but still fun (seriously, I spent like half an hour in that psychic universe maze). If I WAS to pick a favourite, I would say Clemont. The whole trivia/battle system to get to him was fun, though I spent more time in there than the average Trainer. His Gym was difficult, since I had pretty bad coverage. It took me two tries before I beat him. I know this seems insignificant, but the badge is awesome. The most pushover Gym Leader was Viola. #TeamFennekin crushed her. Hardest wasn't Clemont, but Olympia. I don't know, her team was just way better than mine. Six tries. Six!

Korrina FTW! A good looking speed skater with fighting type Pokémon! Not to mention having ties to Mega Evolution!

I'm not that into the Kalos Gym leaders, but I guess I liked Valerie and Korrina the most. Kinda liked Valerie's design, and that Korrina does a little bit in the storyline. And I like her version of the gym leader battle music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzzS2S1xbuQ

And if I could change one of their types, I'd change one to Dark type. Seriously Game Freak. You should've put a Dark type gym in X/Y. Why is there still no Dark type gym?

As for the Gym Leader that gave me the hardest time....not gonna lie, it was Viola. I almost lost to her (Pansear, why must you suck and not learn a Fire attack until after I beat the Gym?). Everyone else was fairly easy. Especially Ramos. Poor Ramos. My Charizard wrecked him so bad. XD

I was disappointed this generation with the leaders. None of them, at least design-wise, were all that interesting to me. To add to that, they didn't put up too much of a difficult time for me. The one I had the most fun with was Korrina though, just because she too had a Mega-Evolution.

The first gym was hardest for me {XD} mainly because my team was under leveled and I had half my team water type and the other half fire type. So my types were all mixed up.

While I haven't faced all of the gym leaders I have up to this point (I've faced four) find them extremely easy to beat. I would really like if they used more Kalos pokemon and had better moves. I would replace most of them with Johto leaders like Whitney

I usually like the "older, wiser" Gym Leaders best, so i have to go with Wulfric!
He uses Ice Pokemon, which is one of my favorite types, so thats a plus as well (:
I didnt find any of the gym leaders to be particularly hard, only Korrinas Hawlucha was a bit problematic at first.
The gym leaders represent their types really well, the only one i might change would be Clemont to Steel types.
Electric fits very fine as well though, so thats just an alternative idea

For me, it would have to be Malva. Love her outfit design, and when battling against her, I found it to be quite challenging. :] Her Talonflame was an absolute pain to take down, but it was also pretty fun. Aside from her, I like Valerie, too.

Oh Elite Four is an option? I like Malva too. I believe she is secretly a Team Flare plant in the Elite Four (we'll find out at the end of X/Y anime, won't we?). My favorite thing is when you beat her in the Battle Chateau and she says "Oooh, you wicked little Trainer, you! I will definitely remember this battle!" As Paris Hilton would say ~ That's Hot!

EDIT: Found out on Bulbapedia, that she is a Team Flare agent. Guess I'd know that if I beat the Elite Four a second time.

I really enjoyed Olympia. And by Olympia I mean her gym itself. It's absolutely gorgeous! I love space so I lost my mind when I first walked in. I'm not a big fan of the Olympia's design as a character, though.
I never really had any trouble beating the gym leaders. The only one I struggled with at all was Grant since he made a couple of my Pokémon faint.
As for the Elite Four, however, I struggled with Siebold. He almost destroyed my entire team.
