Well I agree with Howmander. You can breed some Pokemon you would like to have when you start a new game, and just store them on Pokemon Bank, take them out in your new game and you're all set! :)

I had to get used of the idea first too, but (in my case) 5 euros a year isn't that big of a deal. I used Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Transfer quite a lot now, and I'm pleased with how it works. These two new things helped me filling up the entire Pokedex in my Pokemon X game, and I like the idea you have a safe place to store your valuable Pokemon.

I study as a Network/ Computer Administrator, and they have to pay the maintenance, performance and reliability these servers need somehow...
I have over 65 shinies now in my Pokemon X game and worked really hard to get some of them + all the legendaries too! Took me ages, I would go crazy if I would ever loose them... So I'm really happy there is a place and opportunity now to store those Pokemon somewhere safe, that's at least the 5-euros-a-year-worth for me! :3

Just saying, I would NEVER store my shinies on Pokebank. They've even admitted that there is no way to guarantee that all pokemon stored in the cloud are safe... that's one of the things you agree to when you get it. Js.

I only use it for whenever i want to transfer pokes from x to y or vise versa. Or when i want to start up a game, to have a good lv 1 team plus ALL my pokes. :)

It gets my 0.014 cents a day lol.

Well all my shinies are in my game now :), I meant when I want to store them when I start a new game or just as a back-up for several days (or when I have double shinies, I do store them). And yes, I think they can't guarantee that it is 100% safe because there are so many things that could go wrong, but that's the same with all other everyday technology ;)

I also agree with Howmander, I think it's great! And it's way easier to transfer pokes now then before. Really? 6 at a time and annoying mini games? No thanks!
But I'd have to say that PokeBank is laking a few things. Mainly having the ability to automatically organize boxes by number or name or wtv.

Well I bought it, I thought it was 4.99 a month ._.

A year is reasonable enough.

I always had my brother's DS to use when I wanted to transfer.

The 3DS has an SD card slot + 3000 pkm files worth of Pokémon would take roughly 696KB of space.

Oh, that's a lot less space than I thought pkm files would take up. Guess they could make the PokeBank an in-game transfer system like in the past...
