"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare jolts players forward in a groundbreaking experience that's ripped-from-the-headlines-of-tomorrow, envisioning a future where both technology and tactics have evolved to usher in a new era of combat for the franchise. Set in the year 2054, a private military corporation (PMC) has emerged with the power to rescue humanity from a devastated world struggling to rebuild after a global attack on its military and infrastructure. You are the advanced soldier. Empowered with new, cutting-edge exoskeleton abilities, technological advancements, and high-tech gear, players join the ranks of a highly-trained, specialized unit committed to restoring order in a state of advanced warfare."
Developed by Sledgehammer Games, this newest installment in the Call of Duty series being released November 4th is looking to continue the famed success of it's successors. Activision is stating that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be "perhaps the best Call of Duty game ever made," an ambitious feat considering the mixed feelings of the past few titles. What are your impressions of the game so far thanks to the information that's already out there for it? Think you'll get it? What are your hopes for this new game? Do you think that it will be successful? Do you think that the Call of Duty creators have enough fuel in the tank to keep the series fresh and interesting? Or do you think this will be pivotal point in which people will start to turn away from the Call of Duty series?

Feel free to discuss the game and Call of Duty in general below!

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing that draws me to CoD at all were the Zombies maps, and even then that wasn't much. I'm not a big fan of shooters anyway, so I'm quite biased, but as far as I'm concerned this is a rehash of BlOps2? I don't play CoD much at all tho so I can't say :P

That said, I do think that there's plenty of people who will buy it for the multiplayer experience (because let's face it, that's all they are....). And let's not forget all the mummies who spoil their little ****head 10 year olds with these games too.

Maybe people who had turned away from CoD in the past might give it a try, based on the new developers? I'm not sure. Like I said, I'm not particularly interested in CoD past the zombies, so the only thing I care about is the fact that "Oh, this means you'll have to wait another year(?) to see if there's more CoDZ"? I don't keep too up to date with this stuff so I don't know.

I'm not looking forward to "a new era" of 10 year olds swearing their heads off at me. I didn't like how MW3 was pulled off with Sledgehammer Games in the front of its release, so I don't trust this new game will be great. Black Ops 2 and Ghosts were pretty bad imo, I think this game will follow the decline.

This game just looks like a Black Ops 3. It even has the VTOL ship.

From the trailer, the game kinda looks like a Titanfall knock-off, with the addition of mech suits and such. In my opinion, the CoD series stumbled downhill after MW2, and I think it the multiplayer gameplay will be the same as every other CoD game. (run around, shoot, shoot some more, get killstreak, get killed, rinse and repeat)

Zombies is the only game mode that I enjoy playing in a CoD game now, but because of the theme of Advanced Warfare, I'm sure that zombies won't be in this installment.

People are talking about the similarities to Black Ops II, which, although I don't exactly see, I'd welcome it. Black Ops I and II are the only ones I really enjoyed (although the only other ones I've owned are Modern Warfare 3 and I think CoD 4). Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of big change, which is why I stuck mostly to Black Ops. Won't have my Xbox when the game comes out though, so I probably won't be playing it. From the trailer, can't really tell much as it's not exactly gameplay footage.

I've been following Call of Duty for about five years, so I'm most likely going to grab this one whenever I could just to keep at it; if I'd stopped now, it... just wouldn't feel right, unfortunately. :( Multiplayer is the only thing I'm looking forward to in Advanced Warfare; campaign-mode has been pretty bland within the last three or four games, so my expectations aren't very high in terms of that.

I admit that I am probably not going to buy Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. As for the number of Call of Duty games I have played, I have played five of them. The ones I have played are 2, 3, World at War, Modern Warfare 2, and Modern Warfare 3. After playing three Call of Duty games that take place during World War II, I have found that I have liked those ones more. I would be interested in seeing Call of Duty return to its roots with more main games that take place during World War II.

Yeah, the Zombies mode, and maps were what gravitated me to the games originally. From then on I started trying to venture into other CoD games, but I've never been a player of shooters to begin with so I was slightly reluctant. Nevertheless, I own Ghosts, and Black Ops, both of which though haven't been touched all that much \: Also, I know that the campaign modes aren't the series' strong point, but that was the only thing that I played considering how immature people have said the multiplayer community has been in each instalment.

This will make or break call of duty. If it's good, it might revive the series is done right, but if it's another flop like Ghosts, CoD is dead.

Also, this.
